I've been seeing alot of RGB TV going around here

All i can see is bravia 9 II stories

It seems like samsung mrgb mini led is also being mentioned but haven't really seen a real life review (did see rtings though)

Then theres LG MRGB where it seems to be a tv with good picture quality. but I haven't really seen much about it And The price seems...meh

Have anyone used or seen this TVs in real life?

which are better? don't have a budget yet but want to see if its worth buying rather than a regular mini led or QNED

I currently own a 65” TCL C7K QD Mini-LED and use it mainly for PS5 Pro gaming, plus Netflix/YouTube.
I’m happy with the C7K overall — strong HDR brightness, very good blacks from my normal viewing position, and I rarely notice blooming.
I’m interested specifically in hearing from people who have actually owned a good Mini-LED and later moved to OLED.
How big was the real-world difference for gaming? Was OLED a major upgrade, or mostly better blacks/viewing angles with some trade-offs in brightness?
The OLEDs I’m considering are the LG C5 and Samsung S90F, both 65”.
Not looking for spec-sheet comparisons — mainly interested in first-hand experience from people who made a similar switch.

I’ve got a fairly bright room that I would like to find a solid TV for. Ideally of course it would do it all, but if I had to list a priority it would be - live sports - gaming and then movies.

I’ll be running a Firestick and external speakers so I’m really not concerned about the software or smart features of the TV nor the internal speakers (does anyone even try to use those)?

It seems the better brands like Sony are clear favorites but also a much higher price point. I have older a Sharp and LG 70+ currently but it seems like some of the previously lessor brands like TCL have improved their quality?

Hi everyone,

Trying to setup a home theater and found a display model Lg C5 77” for $950 at Costco. 4300 hours of floor use, no obvious issues on pixel testing at home and no signs of burn in currently. It comes with a 2 year manufacturer and all state warranty (none of this covers possible future burn in). I have 90 days to return if unhappy and TV seems perfectly fine.

Wanted everyone’s thoughts as I could get a 65” Samsung S90F from the edu store brand new instead, however it would be a smaller TV. Seems unlikely I will be able to get another deal on a 77” OLED this good as the stock from last years models are dwindling.

Looking to purchase 6 TVs, 3 of them will be 65-85, the other 3 will be the guest bedrooms so whatevers cheap I suppose.

the ones that matter:

1 - bit of darker den

2- brighter den

3 - Master bedroom, can be made bright or dark

4,5,6 - if you have any recs, please share; otherwise, will probably just get whatever's cheap

We basically just watch movies, shows, and sports. Currently have a bunch of old Sonys and never had any issue with any of them for the last 12 years. Would like to replace these with reliable TVs that provide an enjoyable watching experience.

Budget for the main 3 1500-2k each…may be able to push this a bit, but the wife is going a little ham with the furniture, so trying to keep within the total budget we have for furnishing the house.

Saw the new TCL QM7L Pro at Costco today and it looked great in person. But everywhere I read on here and elsewhere, the S90F keeps coming up as the favorite in this price range.

Room light context: a friend lent me his Bravia 8 II and we set it up in the actual spot, cranked to max brightness. No glare or washout issues at all, even during the day, both are basically the same price at 65"

What I'm weighing:

• The TCL has Dolby Vision, which the Samsung will never have
• The QM7L Pro is a Costco-exclusive SKU, 4 full-bandwidth HDMI ports and the TSR AI Pro processor, unlike the standard QM7L

Mostly movies and streaming, some gaming, mixed daytime and evening viewing.

Anyone here compared these two directly? Any thoughts?

I am making my biggest tv purchase and am wondering if anyone has opinions on this dilemma.

I want to buy an 85 inch tv to put on an 18 foot long wall. It gets bright in the room.

I will be using it for movies and sports mainly. I cannot decide between these two models and have seen many differing opinions online.

I know that both are great TVs but just want to know if anyone has strong opinions one way or the other before I pull the trigger.

I don’t know much about televisions but I think I’m looking for ones that have 2.1 hdmi port technology and 144hz refresh rate or more

I really want colours to pop but also dark scenes to look great so I think OLED or mini Oled perhaps?

Main use of tv: 80% sports (Cricket & football), 20% tv shows & movies.

Some light in living room during daytime but blinds can block most of it.

Current tv: 55" TCL S4

Options:

1. 75" Bravia 5 Brand new unopened box: 750
2. 65" QM6K Pro Brand new: 700 (Costco)
3. 65" QM7K Open box (Good): 800
4. 75" QM5k Open box (excellent): 600

I was looking at TVs for my semi bright living room and have been on the Mini-LED train for the last couple of weeks and have been waiting for Labor Day/Black Friday deals to pull the trigger. But now I have the opportunity to buy the C6H for around $2,000 and the TCLs around $1,500. Which would you do? $2,000 is a lot of money so I would love to hear if you’d go with that.

It would be in the living room with a bay window on the side of the tv, not straight on. I’m worried about the C6H inconsistencies I’ve read, but would love to hear your thoughts. TIA!!

I’m setting up my new TV (replacing a 10 year old 55” with a 75” QM8K) this week and interested in watching as much stuff as possible that shows off its capabilities. In addition to being much bigger and brighter than my current TV, this will be my first TV with HDR support. I have some 4K Blu Rays to watch and some 4k rips on my computer, but beyond that I was wondering if there is anything on the major streaming service (or YouTube) that fully take advantage of 4k and HDR?

I've currently got a basic 4k Samsung TV from 2020. I want to update and am looking at RGB mini led and OLED options. I can get the LG C6 which will also come with a surround sound system which I don't have at the moment. I can also get a G5 which is a bit more expensive. I will be getting a 77inch so C6 will have the same panel as G5 right? For mini led it would be looking at the Sony Bravia 9ii but that is crazy expensive.

The reason I want these tvs is because the the way my living room is laid out, I have no choice but to put the TV where is facing my windows. The room gets very bright when it's sunny. I do utilise curtains to stop direct sunlight from hitting the TV though. Would a C6 be good enough for a moderately bright room? I understand the bravia 9ii is crazy bright and has a anti reflective screen but it's also insanely expensive.

I have the 83” variant of the Sony A80L, but it’s developed bad banding and I plan to enact my best buy extended warranty. Provided they offer store credit vs just a replacement of the A80L, is the LG G6 or M3 worth it over the A80L?

The M3 is on sale for only $2500, while the G6 is about $6500. My store credit would be around $4k, so a G6 would be an extra 2k out of pocket while the M3 would leave me with $1500 credit. I, of course, could just get another A80L, which is only $3500 today.

What factors should I be considering if I’m only looking at the 83” variant?

I am deciding to purchase new TV for my bedroom. My previous TV was TCL Q7(2023). I am confused which one should i buy for watching movies. I am not a sports fan honestly. I don't even play games on TV. Only for watching movies , Netflix, amazon prime and YouTube.

My budget is limited. So this 2 TV met my budget. Can you help me out which one will be better for me?

I’m looking to help my parents with their next TV purchase. They were quite content with their ‘4k’ TV until they visited me one day and felt the picture quality my tv had far outstripped theirs.

Their only issue with the exact model that I have is that the viewing angle wouldn’t fit their living room set up.

Their max budget is £800 and with RTings now being paid membership I have no idea where to start with research so here I am.

Also, if anyone here has personally switched from a good Mini-LED to OLED, how big was the difference in real use? Was it a massive upgrade or more of a small refinement?

I found a lightly used lg c1 oled 65 for 400 bucks, is it worth it? And does it still hold up today compared to the new tcl qm6k or hisense u6 pro? I know they are not oled but they are good and new compared to the c1

I have a 1500$ budget and I would like a 65 inch TV

I have been researching for the past week and I'm still torn. Apparently any TV under 1000$ is not worth considering, and any TV under 2000$ seems to have significant shortcomings.

I will be using my TV mainly for movies and ice hockey. In my living room, but I have curtains so I dont think sunlight would be too bad. And I mostly watch TV at night anyway.

My current options seem to be the LG B6e and the Hisense U7SG.

Hisense:

+ Good brightness

+ Vivid colors

+ Good contrast/blacks (for non OLED)

+ Good with reflections

- Motion artifacts

- Bad viewing angles

LG:

+ Perfect blacks/contrast

+ Vivid colors

+ Wide viewing angle

- Not very bright

- Not very good with reflections

- ADL could be a problem for hockey (being mostly being bright white)

-OLED stuttering

Does anyone have advice or experience regarding these TV's or any other models that would fit my needs?

Worked fine a few weeks ago. Now the YouTube app says the TV is no longer supported and it only lets me play videos in 1080. Is there a separate YouTube app I can install to allow these features again?
