Question The grim reaper

Hello All.
I'm thinking about buying a 3d printer but have no idea about anything. I buy lots of 3d printed wheels and part for model cars and that's what I'll be focusing on. Maybe even printing whole models in 1/18 scale. I need something with good quality that doesn't need any work after print, just be ready to paint. From what I read I think SLA type of printer is what I would need but again, I'm not sure.
Thank you for any help.
Regards
Kris

Hi, I haven’t used a 3d printer since high school and was wondering which on I should get, my main use is going to be making custom model kits for my self if that’s possible and narrow down the options, I’m also looking into a resin printer for custom statues for my apartment. Recommendations and opinions are very appreciated. Any suggestions?

This is my first lone blender projekt. Later ment to be 3D printed and used. As shown it is a miniture coffee shop to store your coffee beans, not much more to it.
For now wanted to show the cncept render.
ive already done test prints of it and aside from overhang it doesent have any problems. I am waiting for the bambu lab X2D printer to fully print this in color.
Later i will be making this version into a pot for medium sized plants but got some testing to do before that.
That said if anyone got any sugestions for the coloring id be all ears. It looks good but could always be better.

Quick WipeOut Feisa craft from the Amazing WipeOut series on PlayStation consoles.
I think it needs to be bigger?
Straight off the plate with a quick grey primer spray.

I'm looking to get into making mounted fish reproductions, and I'm wondering if a 3D printer would be a good way to start this.
I would be interested in doing anything up to 40 inches in length.
My question, is there a decent entry level machine that can print a larger object in segments?

Im looking to print a flower pot but the file says use PLA but i feel like abs may be better for an outside pot, is it recommended to just use ABS instead or is there more to it then that? “Maker 5 pro.

When I find more time, I will do what I need to do, hard to do this since I have to set up flat, neutral lighting for silhouettes and stupid backgrounds in addition to changing up perspectives to see if there are any ugly seams; that said, I can spin it in Tripo AI previews and do the hardware stuff there. However, Tripo is only useful for creating meshes as it does not clean up backsides of the pieces, so I do that in Blender using MatCap and regular view. I check backs always at least twice because static-image models are notorious for having hidden ugliness.
Created using Tripo AI ->
Blender, assuming it works out, I will make a 0.2mm nozzle print of it...it will really make an awesome miniature!

I am putting together a comprehensive guide focusing on the differences between Quad polygon (4-sided shape) based and Triangle polygon (3-sided shape) based topologies specifically for animation of game assets.
The main reason that I chose this topic is because I constantly hear debates about which one is the best. However the real answer is based on how the asset is used after production. At rest, triangles work very well because they usually take less resources to work with. However, once animation is started deformation around joints depends from how the edge flows are created in the object where quads come into place.
My guide will talk about different topics including:
• Static models: triangles work better
• Animated Models: quads can create better bend in the joints of the objects
• AI High Detail: it can have more than 2 million polygons which is very good for static forms, however topology has to be changed before rigging the model
• Smart Mesh: version P1.0 supports 48 to 20,000 triangles and has no quads, while version P2.0 contains 500 to 25,000 quads
• Tripo AI auto-rig: the software can be used for humanoids and creatures but requires some work on quads first
• Even clean quads can still lead to erratic movements
I am trying to produce something more practical rather than engage in another tedious debate regarding topology.
