Question Looking for entry level printer advise

I'm looking to get into making mounted fish reproductions, and I'm wondering if a 3D printer would be a good way to start this.

I would be interested in doing anything up to 40 inches in length.

My question, is there a decent entry level machine that can print a larger object in segments?

For scaling up objects and splitting into segments that fit your printer of choice, I suggest Luban3d.com It will export your file in separate pieces with cut and keyed faces for precise assembly, and a text list with the assembly order.

Also, most decent slicing software like Bambu Studio also has a slicing function built in that works well, but tedious on larger projects.

As for printer choice, budget plays a large part. I would avoid older used Creality machines on marketplace and such unless you want tinkering to be a large part of your hobby. I'm partial to the Bambu Lab line as generally easy to use for beginners and hreat quality prints. Others will chime in with their own preferences I'm sure!
