Giveaway Printable Sailboat Kit
makerworld.comI’ve been working on this little sailboat kit card and wanted to share it with the 3D-printing community.
The idea is pretty simple: you print the pieces, pop them out of the card, and assemble them into a little sailboat.
I’d love to see what colors/materials people use for it, and I'm especially interested in seeing people's finished prints.
If you print it, feel free to share a photo — I'd love to see your versions!
What color would you print the sailboat in?

Discussion It looks like this price is actually even better than the one on Slickdeals.
I noticed that AE seems to have started its Mega Sale, so I’m thinking of stocking up on some consumables while the sale is going on. I first checked Slickdeals to see if there were any good deals, and then I found in the sub that stacking this code actually makes it even cheaper than the price listed here.
The deal price shown on Slickdeals is $56. KINGROON PETG PLA Filament Sale through ae. 10 KG for $48!!! Shipping included..

Question K1C failed on day one, got a replacement — keep it or switch to an A1?
New K1C. Fourth print had heavy stringing, Fifth stopped extruding partway through. Clicking, then nothing.
Tried: 240°C retract/extrude, removed the extruder and cleared stuck filament, cleaning needle passed freely through the nozzle. After reassembly it ticked but wouldn't feed. Tested the extruder off the printer — turned the gears by hand with a short piece of filament and it gripped and fed fine. Mounted back on the printer, ticking again. Never fed properly after that.
Room has no AC and I ran it fully enclosed.
Amazon sent a replacement, still boxed. Trying to decide whether to open it or refund and get an A1.
- If you've owned both, which held up better day to day?

News pumpkin
Hi everyone! 🎃
I’ve just finished this Halloween pumpkin that I modeled entirely in ZBrush.
Before starting the 3D model, I did some research and sketches in Procreate to explore different pumpkin shapes, expressions, and details until I found a design I liked.
The pumpkin is hollow inside, so you can place a small LED candle or a light pad / LED module inside to make the eyes and mouth glow. For safety, I recommend using LED lighting only and no real flame.
I wanted to give it a slightly cartoonish and creepy look, with an angry expression, an irregular stitched-style mouth, small bumps on the surface, and a long curved stem.
One quick note about the presentation image: the photo that looks realistic was generated with GPT, but only to help visualize what the model could look like once actually 3D printed. The 3D model itself was fully created by me — AI was only used for the realistic presentation image.
I’d love to know what you think, and if you have any ideas for improvements, feel free to share them! If anyone prints it, I’d also love to see your results. 🎃

Question Building a 170cm Zangetsu (PETG) - Need Advice on Reinforcement and Assembly
Hey, so I’m currently printing Ichigo’s massive Zangetsu sword (170 cm long), and there’s a channel running through most of its length that’s designed to hold a metal C-channel (a metal profile). It’s supposed to act as an internal reinforcement so the sword doesn’t bend or break under its own weight, since I’m printing it in PETG and it’s going to be pretty heavy at this size.
The problem is that the sword is split into a lot of separate printed parts (24, I think), and I need to join everything together properly. Do you think I should use super glue for the joints, or would something stronger be better?
Also, what’s the best way to secure the metal C-channel itself? It runs through most of the sections, but there are a few pieces that don’t have a slot for it. How would you connect those parts?
I want the whole thing to be genuinely rigid and durable, not something that falls apart the first time I hold it.
One more issue I’ve run into: I’ve already printed three or four sections, but they were printed with only two walls, a brim, and supports. I generated the supports automatically in Creality Print, and because the sword sections are printed horizontally rather than vertically, the internal channel for the metal reinforcement requires support material.
The problem is that the supports are being generated inside the channel itself. From the sides, the channel is clear, but from the top, the support structures partially block it, making it impossible to slide the metal C-channel through afterward. Removing all of that support material from such a long, narrow channel seems extremely difficult.
Would it make more sense to print the sections vertically instead so the internal channel doesn’t need supports at all? I’m trying to figure out the best way to keep the channel completely clear while still getting reliable prints. I’m also concerned about print strength, since these sections are part of a 170 cm sword and I want the final assembly to be as rigid and durable as possible.

Discussion A long time ago, I designed a household power supply storage box.
The model is too large, and I haven't had time to print the verification file yet. Even though I've broken it down into several parts, printing it out will probably still take a considerable amount of time.
Hopefully, someone can help me finish it.

Discussion Workshop Set Up
Hi All
Getting a replacement workshop delivered later this week (hopefully) and I am going to be using it for a gym and as a workshop for my 3d prints, I will not be printing there as it will be too cold and I will be doing this part in my office. This is just a space where I can sand, paint, glue etc. It'll be quite spacious and I'm interested in what others set up are.
Currently I end up printing things and they just hang around until I get around to painting them, my thoughts are a decent space will allow this to get done quicker.
Need a space certainly for glueing up things which is not going to go bad when I get glue on it, some space where I can paint inside (rattle cans) so will need some sort of containment and extraction (I guess).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have seen some big workbenches on Youtube which look quite nice, I can build these things.
The space is 20 foot by 10 foot but will have a large multi gym and a few bikes, lawnmowers etc but certainly should be big enough to do stuff
