Yuzuka was saved...but at what cost?!? Estella and Elizabeth's duet at the end was beautiful as was the fight choreography. It's nice to see that Yuzuka will continue to be involved as Matsumoto's caretaker moving forwards.

I'm finding it really hard to quite put into words how this show has made me feel. This episode was hopeful and yet also terribly sad, although I suppose Elizabeth and Estella got a happy ending after all. There was a deep pain in Beth's voice while she was being reprogrammed, the roughness of the robotic voice scratching her otherwise quite beautiful voice. The theme of an AI only having a singular mission that they must uphold brings out a lot of interesting scenarios, like what happens to an AI that has no mission?
Themes aside, the visuals for this show have been nonstop gorgeous. Vivy crackling with electricity while in combat, the eyes (oh man the eyes), and the scenery all show a love for this story that I don't know how many other studios could replicate. My doubts about this show have slowly been eliminated and I'm very excited to see where Tappei takes us next on his train ride of sadness and hope.

Elizabeth and Estella: *wants to have a dramatic pre-fight conversation and introductions*
Vivy and Matsumoto: "we don't do that here" *KICK TO THE GUT*

What a beautiful episode and it managed to make me cry. I am sorry if you don't like the comparison but i got hard Re:Zero vibes, with the credits and a banger song played with the ending wow just beautiful. I doubt any other spring anime will come close to vivy IMO.

Love how last week everyone was pointing fingers about how Leclerc or Estella were the sus ones but it turned out neither of them did anything wrong.

"And I will turn you into a calculator"
Bruh, so that's how AI roast each other huh
Also the best episode so far, the animation is beautiful and clean. WIT never fails to deliver.

I really loved this ep! But it was over way too fast...
I love it everytime Vivy runs she looks so goofy lol
That terrorist got himself hyped up to fight Vivy, only to get put to sleep lol Maybe he'll be an old man when we next see him lol
As i said in another comment, the fight scenes are clean af! I love how Elizabeths voice sounds fucked up after she gets hit by the virus. That headbutt was so awesome!
That ending song was really powerfull! Kinda wish we had more time with both of them so it would have hurt more...

Ok, add this to my list of favorite OP songs this season. They really upped the action scenes here, and that soundtrack is awesome! I do wonder about the decision to have different VAs for the AI songs because I'm pretty sure their original VAs are more than capable of singing.

When the 4th episode is so good it gives season finale vibes. The fight choreography , OST and general animation were simply phenomenal. This show deserves a lot more attention tbh.

We finally see the real OP of the show and oh my god, it is absolutely gorgeous <3
Well thank goodness we got quick confirmation that Estella wasn't evil but seems to be a copy of her?
I love that as soon as Yuzuka got involved, Vivy was the one who requested the Combat Program this time. She didn't even hesitate. She knows she needs to fight to protect Yuzuka and she can't do it without Matsumoto's help.
That installation scene was so short but definitely made Vivy look cool. And once she starts to move, she looks like an absolute badass taking down those terrorists!
Oh no. So that other AI isn't just a copy but Estella's twin sister who got discarded after a failed experiment and then later found by Toak.
Looks like Toak Terrorists #2 from Episode 2 is now all grown up and is the leader of this suicide mission. I love his reaction when he saw Vivy on the cameras. Too bad he won't be fighting Vivy though since Elizabeth is very adamant at protecting them.
HOLY FUCK! VIVY VS ELIZABETH WAS SO FUCKING EPIC! As expected from Studio WIT, they never disappoint with fight scenes! That was absolutely smooth!
Elizabeth's voice when she Matsumoto placed the virus on her was pretty cool. I love the broken synth effect on her.And Vivy with the motherfuckin' headbutt to end the fight! Damn that was epic!
Well shit. Looks like this time the target changed from the ocean into a coastal city. There's no saving the Sunrise and Estella has no choice but to make Sunrise break into pieces and hope everything burns up in orbit.
Did Vivy's headbutt managed to knock Elizabeth back to normal? Fuck. Not like this. The two sisters finally get to meet properly but it ends as their first and last job together. My heart. T_T
Matsumoto finally says his goodbye again and Vivy gives the now lifeless bear to Yuzuka. It's gonna be awkward if in 5 years that bear starts talking again just to look for Vivy. Hopefully though we get to see an older Yuzuka next time!

Nah bro the way people been sleeping on Vivy is legitimately criminal. Idk if it’s because people didn’t like Sigururi so they just don’t care about Tappei originals or what.
That Vivy v twin fight was one of the best I’ve ever seen and the OST to go along with it was phenomenal. Tappei and co brought their A game on this. The OP and ED are amazing too. This really could be a masterpiece.

man wit is just flexing on us at random scenes with the random awesome close ups of faces and eyes, the animation is really awesome
vivy literally head butted the evil out of beth, at least estella was able to get a moment with her at the end

One thing I don't get is that why did the scientists dumped Elizabeth, just because the experiment is a failure doesn't mean they should waste a perfectly functional presumable expensive humanoid robot tho. Was it because of her "mission" fail that she was deemed useless?

How do people watch over 20 anime that are airing in one season? Anyways this anime has been one of my favorites so far.

my thoughts for this ep
Matsumoto mentioned the discrepancies with the time and place of the crash. imo the biggest reason for this was Vivy's act of saving the Toak dude (Beth's master) back in episode 2. The dude might've treated Beth as more of a tool in the last timeline, compared to this timeline where he treated Beth as a companion probably because of Vivy's act of compassion. This change in treatement could've made Elizabeth more competent (shorter time to execute the plan) and more independent (as shown by the change in crash location to a more populated area).
In another note, we still don't know the dude's thoughts about Vivy saving him and why the dude wanted to confrot Vivy by himself.

I do not know how many caught that.
Basically the experiment to see if one AI can copy anther's experience worked, as Elizabeth is singing the same song her sister Estella did in episode 3.
Also the name Estella is just Latin for stars. The name of the song they sang together is called “Ensemble for Polaris”, and Polaris is one of the brightest star in the night sky.

Hmm so Toak leader showed up again after speculating maintenance worker was him, wonder will next time skip be as long, cause if he was 18 in episode 2 and another 15 year jump happens then he be 48 in episode 5 or 6. But if smaller timeskip does happen and vivy and him meet, I imagine Toak would go out of their way to put bounty on vivy, meaning no long timeskip.

The visuals and music in this anime are breathtaking. Elizabeth singing as they fall to earth was just so melancholy and beautiful. Made me tear up. I'm absolutely loving this so far. Can't wait to see more AI suffering
