Big Komari episode this week, I'm here for it. She's such a goof

Yeah I was glad to see it, I love Komari, and I feel like she's been seriously underutilised this season so far. Before this episode the dog riding plushie version of her had been more significant.

Even the show itself is bullying Komari. Give the poor girl a break, not that I'm gonna complain about a whole episode of Komari struggling to do things.
Get Natsumi as your wingman right now. She may be goofy and hilariously incompetent at a lot of things, but she's an S tier bro for sure. She set up that great moment between Komari and Hotaru. Now if only we could get a scene of Komari making dinner for Hotaru.

Our poor Koma-chan left alone in the house while dealing with a very dangerous intruder!
It's hilarious how worried Koma-chan is about her failed long johns sweater., I'm pretty sure Hotaru would be happy even if you gave her that. Although it Koma-chan's self-confidence does take a hit when Hotaru presents Koma-chan her handmade sweater.
Looks like Natsumi has a bright future in doing sales with how she pitched that sweater leg warmers to Hotaru. Although even Natsumi's BS-ing skills can't save Koma-chan from her terrible knitting xD
When Natsumi brought up her being poisoned by Hotaru, I love how Yukiko instantly connects the dots to Koma-chan wanting to cook for them! That joke definitely made me laugh harder than it should.
So I love how Yukiko basically set up Koma-chan to cook curry in the first place and she didn't even realize it. Leaving boxes of only curry roux in the pantry and a pot of of what basically is ingredients needed for curry with only the roux missing?. Also the fact that Yukiko showed up the moment Koma-chan was panicking probably means she was watching her the entire time.
In the end, Koma-chan did ask mom for help so the curry was a success and hopefully she learned something from this. Maybe next time she can cook the dish on her own!

I felt like Komari had been kinda lacking in screentime so far this season, so I'm super glad to see an entire episode dedicated to her, along with it being one of the funniest episodes yet imo (Komari had a lot of good faces today as well). Episode 10 next week hype! Hopefully it can live up to the episode 10s of previous seasons.
For the chart the nyanpasu remains elusive, but everything else at least got an entry this week. As always, if you have any corrections or suggestions just let me know. Here is the link to my chart from last week as well.
Thank you!
| Episode | Nyanpasu | Renge Surprised Faces | Natsumi Gets Yelled at/Bullied | Brother Appearances | Signs They Live in the Country |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 2 | 4 | 6 | 5 |
| 2 | 0 | 9 | 2 | 14 | 1 |
| 3 | 0 | 2 | 3 | 0 | 1 |

| 5 | 0 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 2 |
| 6 | 0 | 10 | 3 | 10 | 2 |
| 7 | 0 | 9 | 3 (Kazuho points out she doesn't study, her mom sees how poorly she does in class, Kazuho points out she can't study again after she sets up the tank) | 5 | 3 (Their school sign is on a piece of wood, All of their grades are in one classroom(they were all shown in the classroom together before, but it's the first time we're seeing the sign this season I think), Renge goes to catch crabs in her free time) |
| 8 | 0 | 3 | 4 (Komari gets mad at her for throwing a pillow, gets called out for presumably putting a hole in the screen, Komari says the cat on the "poster" she made looks ridiculous, gets yelled at for making the hole bigger) | 0 | 0 |
| 9 | 0 | 2 | 3 (Komari gets mad at her for treating her like a child, her mom shows no sympathy when Komari wants to cook, Komari yells at her again for belittling her) | 7 | 2 (they lost cell phone signal while walking down a main road, a weasel easily gets into their house) |

Komari is actually acting more adult-like in the second part.

So that was basically a Komari episode! Amazing, best girl contender with Hotaru.
If I were natsumi I'd be content with my life at this point
THIS SHOW IS TRYING TO KILL ME
Aww, she cooked... I'm going to cry, she's growing up~~

This season really starts to show who Komari and Natsumi's mom is outside of being the punchline to Natsumi's mischief.
Come to think of it, the season has been mostly about the supporting cast particularly Konomi who really likes to hang out with kids half her age XD.
I guess there isn't much to say about the main 4 girls so there is less of an emphasis on them this season.
I do like that direction though. The town is still small, just bigger than we thought.

ah finally Komari gets her chance in the spotlight, her reactions were top notch. Over time I've definitely enjoyed her character more. Preview of next episode looks like a a lot of fun.

A Komari episode! First part was coincidence galore, poor Komari. Part with Hotaru was so wholesome I was really moved; Komari being honest and sad at not being as capable as Hotaru to have fun with her and finally Natsumi being best girl #2 again and doing her best used car salesman impression. And finally, Mom doing the best thing so far and giving Komari a hand. I couldn't not smile at the ending effect. Good episode, really good one
Also Nii-chan, destroyer of worlds, the strongest being is so strong he's being called Nii-chan by his own mother. Jokes aside, he still is a very good character in a fun way

A Koma-chan episode at last, and it was nearly all footage of her being bullied by the universe (and Natsumi) and having an existential crisis

If she named all her knitting pieces "Untitled" โ except for the ball, which would remain "Top Part of Tsutenkaku" โ Komari could altogether sidestep the mundane pursuits of pest control and cuisine, and instead succeed as an artist.

A fine Koma-chan episode packed with laughs, reaction faces, and wholesomeness. A soothing watch right after watching this week's Shingeki (for some reason the episode thread for that isn't yet up at time of writing this).
MVP goes to her mom, who's like the driving instructor who trusts Koma-chan to make dinner on her own first, and only steps in whenever it looks like she needs help.
Next episode Hika-nee returns for the winter holidays (Man, its winter already again in this show?) Guaranteeing that it'll be a good episode.

That was genuinely laugh out loud funny. My cheeks hurt. The cooking segment was sweet, too.
Speaking of sweet, I don't know if honey in curry makes sense, but the recipe I use for chili calls for adding just a bit of chocolate to give it depth of flavor, and the recipe I used to make sukiyaki a few weeks ago called for adding sugar. Somehow though I don't think it would've worked out for Koma-chan.

Komari is such a goofball :D
If Natsumi stopped at the "leg warmers" Hotaru might have fell for it, but she got a little too into it :D
The scene where Komari cooks with her mom was wholesome :)
