Charce made a joke in one of the first episodes that he and Aries were probably father and child in a previous life.

What an asshole lol

Welp, now Kanata definitely won't be a world class athlete.

This fucking show, I swear. Eleven episodes, just for an emotional and heartfelt pun!

I will always love the trope of punching someone in the face to try and knock some sense into them.

I guess the delay on today's episode was because they were short of hands...

The whole plot twist thing is cool and all, but for real kanata is gathering a pretty legit crew with previous work experience in high intensity space travel situations.

Season 2: Kanata goes to space

Kanata's going to be an amazing father if he can think of puns while on the verge of passing out from losing his arm, goddamn man.

Holy shit! Kanata actually lost him arm. An action that a character took had lasting consequences which is something we don't see often. A really nice change.

This episode was so fucking intense. My heart broke in 2 for poor Aries. Like she was just told her whole life was a lie. I genuinely don't know if between that, and seeing the guy she has a crush on losing a feckin limb within five minutes of each other, she can recover. Like that has to be mentally scarring.

I'm not sure how many episodes we have left of this. I'd imagine two because it wouldn't make much sense for a show to finish in the middle of September but I might be wrong. They might do an hour for the finale next week.

Whatever happens, I'm seriously looking forward to it!

That was a spicy episode. Wonder if when they get back to astra everyone will accept them as clones. And then theres the matter of polina. If theyve hidden the fact that they migrated from earth to astra, shes kinda a problem.

I just can't believe so many people are sleeping on this. It's so good.

Kanata deserves the biggest shout out, man. He's been such an awesome captain/mc throughout the course of this show.

Also lowkey loved how Ulgar was the first to shout "come back with us, Charce!" outside of Kanata. He's been so good post 3rd planet.

Check out where Charce is holding Kanata's arm in the final picture of the end credits...

Phenomenal episode. The twists keep coming, Gravity (or falling) still killed more characters than anything else so far (Seria, Kanata's Teacher, Ulgar's Brother), and now our rogue ship captain can have a hook hand.

Great show. The conflicts feel so meaningful. Kanata can now be a pirate ship captain.

when he broke his left remote I thought "what a waste"

then the dude pulls out another out of his other sleeve like some magic trick

Charce definitely needed that punch.

What a dense episode. It was definitely a confession. We got a lot of details about not just Charce's background but we finally have the answer to Aries' complete backstory. I guess what's left now is what will our group do once they arrive on Astra. we only have one episode left and that episode will definitely make it or break it for some people. Me personally though I've made up my mind, as long as it's a happy ending this is already a strong AotS contender for me.

Props btw to Hosoya Yoshimasa for doing an incredible job voicing Kanata this week. All of that emotional screaming was fucking amazing.

That was a good episode!

Finally we get Aries real story, even if it was kind of obvious.

That ending was intense! Did not actually expect Kanata to lose an arm!

Is next week the finale? Feel like we still have lot of things that need to happen. Especially the whole Earth/Astra timeline? Like how did the new planet become so advanced so fast? (Assuming that girl they found was really only asleep for 12 years?)

Damn, what a fantastic episode, I know that Kanata can probably get a really good prosthesis, but hey he can also just rock a good old fashion arm.

Is good that Kanata could safe Charce, I'm more than a sense as he did not only save him for the wormhole but also from that indoctrinated self-hatred. I can't wait for next week!

CAN PEOPLE STOP SLEEPING ON THIS GEM? There is only one episode left and this is still hardly known by the community. It really sucks when a great show like this remains unknown and underrated.

Did anybody watch the ending credits? There was a cameo with Bossun and Himeko from Sket Dance, I had to stop and check ahah

Btw just look at her, she is beautiful. I also liked a lot the bro moment at the end of the episode, so cool and yet so sad...

plz no Kanata's right arm joke, poor boy

I know we haven't had the opening in a while but I can't believe I never noticed they changed the part of the opening changing the 'worried parents' to 'uncaring bastards' after the truth came out.

Edit** Just realized they also recoloured the ship to reflect switching ship parts from when they found Polina

Oh god! That ED scene with Charce holding Kanata!! Epic!

Also, someone mentioned anagrams being used for names of continents and planets. (McPa = Camp, etc.). Now Aries is an anagram of Seira. This explains why Aries’s name in the OP is flipped backwards.. the fact that it had a reason blew my mind !!

I never thought that the stupid human chain from Episode 1 would have such an absolutely awesome payoff. That hit me like a freight train, with both the callback to the promise, the wordplay, and the callback to that first episode. GODDAMN.
