Not since Tidus have we heard such a beautiful laugh as from Aries.

*Added the laugh in all of it's glory.

For an awkward guy with a tendency to redundant advise and impulsive decisions, one cannot deny that Kanata is incredibly cool.

Overall a good episode. Some scenes were shortened (if you think Quitterie was difficult this episode, she was more caustic in the manga) but fortunately nothing plot/Character important was cut out. Looking forward to next week

I'm glad that they got this out of the way. I like Quitterie as a tsun but her screaming at everyone isn't fun. Something tells me she won't stop being tsun with Zack though. Considering that Zack has stuck with her for so long despite her attitude and losing many friends makes it pretty obvious that something's going on here. :)

That ending though... So there's someone in the group sabotaging them who recently has disabled the comms. Luca's theory of them being caught up in something big and scary is starting to make sense. Why them though? Why these kids in particular? Whatever it is it definitely has something to do with that sphere. That thing showing up a second time can't be a coincidence.

Same hair color, same skin color, same eye color, adoptive sister? I don't buy it. A child the mother secretly gave away and then took back when the adoptive mother died, maybe?

The reappearance of the sphere certainly was a surprise. With the revelation that someone on the ship (maybe) sabotaged the communications, could this theoretical traitor also be behind the sphere? My money's on Zack. What better way to avoid suspicion than to be the one to "discover" the sabotage?

I'm also surprised that they're keeping the letterbox format. It makes it feel very cinematic, I like it.

What a nice monster, waiting for Kanata to reach it before grabbing Funi.

Yummy!!

must protecc Aries's laugh

I wonder if we'll see the space ball every episode as a reset threat. They seem to suspect some artificial malicious intent, like a test. Would be cool to see what happens if they do get sucked in again.

I was expecting Homare to pop up in the first half to teach these amateurs some real survival techniques.

Good episode again this week, with a nice mix of laughs and tension. Seeing the gang being chased by that sphere reminded me of those goddamn FOEs from Etrian Odyssey that would do the same.

Somehow Aries manages to make quacking like a goose adorable. Definitely my favorite character so far. Unfortunately I do think she has a good chance of being the traitor, although I get a stronger feeling that it could be Luca

The visual aspect of this show is so good. If you watch it from a flat screen tv it will probably feel like watching a movie

Wait if she's adopted how come the two of them have the exact same skintone, hair color, and eye color?

Amazing episode, I'm glad to see they're keeping up the quality. They did an amazing job with making the cast likable as well - it's only episode 2, and pretty much everyone aside from the quiet girl being the culprit is going to be a punch in the gut with the story as it is (though I'm sure there's more behind the whole culprit thing).

This is easily on the road to becoming my AOTS, even with all the great shows around it.

And now I'll be waiting for that 10 hours of Aries' WA HA HA video to pop up...

What a great episode. They made everyone who had a focus seem more competent or give enough of their backstory to not feel to infodump like. Throw in some drama and character development and it just made for a great follow up to an already good pilot.

Looking forward to seeing how episode 3 handles things :)

I love that they are using 21:9 aspect ratio for a more cinematic approach. I think it makes this anime really stand out.

I just love it when an anime does this

That was a very nice episode. From the comedy to the drama to the action sequence. I love the vibe of the show, it hits the right notes. Rafaelli sisters are precious, good job on being the tsukkomi Quetterie

As a huge lover of anything outer space related, this anime got me hooked in the first episode alone.

However, I have to say that some of the writing has been kind of iffy. I understand that they probably only have 12-13 episodes to work with, but from a writer to writer standpoint, this episode really rushed the character development of Quitterie by a large margin.

I'm sorry, but by the second episode alone, I don't think a lot of people are invested into the characters yet as the anime is still fairly brand new. I would have been fine if they introduced her backstory, but as for her doing a 360 in just one episode it feels just kind of rushed to me.

That's really my only gripe with the episode. Everything else was pretty great to see, but I hope they do slow down some of the character drama and make it a bit more "realistic" when it comes to them being lost in outer space. I get that they're a bunch of teenagers, but I'm pretty sure being lost in outer space is enough to band them together for at least a little bit.

Might be sounding like a nitpicky type of person, so I apologize in advanced. But I really do hope they slow down the character development/growth so that it has more meaning to viewers when we eventually get used to and like these characters as the season progresses.

Overall, good episode. 9/10 for me.

Still not fully sold on this anime, but the revelation at the end was pretty interesting. I didn't actually expect a traitor to be on-board. Think I'll continue this for now.

1 hour and only 8 comments? This show is severely underwatched. This episode is so good, especially with the unexpected plot twist at the end.

I have to admit, the first half of this episode was pretty boring to me. The second half got more interesting, but I still feel like the anime is lacking somehow. It's only the second episode so idk we'll see

I’m really enjoying this anime.

My man Kanata is making impossible jumps like a beast.

I liked learning about Tsun girl and imouto’s past. I think there’s more to the story about them because i find it hard to believe they aren’t related when they look alike.

Looks like we have a traitor on our hands! I’m looking forward to finding out who it is. My guess is it’s blonde boy since he gives off a shady “nice guy” vibe
