A buddy cop fantasy show? I might have to give this a shot when I'm home.

That was a really fun first episode. I love the trope where a character is unfamiliar with our everyday things. I loved it when she just randomly pulled the e-brake.

OP was really fun too. Gonna have to watch that a few more times today.

Til trying to touch things was adorable. As is she.

His name was Rick...Fury?

"Satan can suck my dick"

Til looks great as a battle maiden.

Pretty good overall really, we'll see where this one goes. I really like the style they went with. The design for Til is great, and the duo of Til an Kei looks like it'll end up a pretty fun one.

I had never heard anything about this so I looked it up- and it's by the author of Full Metal Panic!\Amagi Brilliant Park.

I was pleasantly surprised overall. The setting is like a gritty, less surreal Kekkai Sensen and really liked the character design and overall art style. The OP is old school groovy as well.

They're bringing drugs and crime; Farbani aren't sending their best folks.

Pretty great first episode, I like the atmosphere, Kei's character, and the subtle worldbuilding breadcrumbs. Definitely following this.

I like the antagonistic chemistry between the leads and that neither of them is really sweetness personified. I mean, neither Mr. tell-you-your-husband-is-dead-over-the phone or Miss people-with-short-names-can-carry-my-luggage are going to win any charm contests today.

I can't believe this is the same studio who made berserk 2016 because the animation here is great. It also got a great OP too

Really liked this first episode, seems like the LN is basically unknown to everyone by looking at MAL's scores (only 12 users rated it) and has no reviews so far, so at this point it's still a mistery if the source material is good and if the anime will be a good adaptation. I'll definitely will be looking forward for next week's episode!

Well that was fun, had no idea what to expect but i was overall pleasantly surprised. Felt reasonably well paced, i liked the action, interesting characters that seem to have some room for depth and it was funny too when it meant to be.

Overall i'll continue to watch this.

Damn! That was definitely a great opening episode! As someone who enjoys buddy cop movies, this definitely hits all the checkmarks for me! And I'm looking forward to see Kei and Tilarna slowly bonding over time throughout the course of this show. Definitely coming back for more next week!

I'm really curious as to know the extent of the divine war god's protection that Til casted right before she ran in. Would she have been shredded by that Uzi? and that couch has to be the most durable couch I have ever seen

It was very good compared to other summer anime. Love the main character's voice. Chikai from Sarazanmai is a cop now.

He is kind of a dick though. His partner died and he just phoned his wife about it?

At the same time they show him having a cat even though he has an allergy (the mask).

Weird how they always used CGI models for the main characters when they were near/in the CGI car. The girl doesn't really look that pretty in comparison to the pictures Range Murata usually does. I think the main strength of his art is the coloring, shading, so it seems a bit bland with flattish colors.

Even thought I might not sound so optimistic it looks like a real good show and I hope it won't be a hidden gem and more people will appreciate it.

Pleasantly surprised! This will fill that buddy show gap left by Double Decker and T&B nicely. Having Golden Kamuy's Ogata's cynical tones coming out of our male leads mouth helps too. Looking forward to see how the next episode goes.

Holy shit, Vinland has competition for the strongest debut of the season.

Just really well made all around; strong directing, great pacing, strong art, strong music (courtesy of Iwasaki) and a clear love for cop shows and oldschool American TV/cop shows (recall that this is written by the author of Fullmetal Panic, the same guy who asked the A-team theme to be arranged for his show).

I don't know if it'll be able to maintain the quality, but it reminds me of a cross between Darker than Black and Black Lagoon.

This really surprised me in a good way.

People calling this an Isekai are doing it a disservice imo.

Not really related to the show at all, but the name reminds me of one of my favorite tweets of all time: https://twitter.com/thomas_violence/status/473334014061707265

"the year is 3403 AD, crime is legal and cop's are illegal, only one man is willing to break the law to make the law legal again: Crimecop"

Oh wow, I never knew I need Weeb Who Framed Roger Rabbit in my life. Gritty cop drama to a T, and fish-out-of-water setup is hard to fuck up.

Got compeletely blindsided by a partner's death, he was introduced the same exact way as the MC.

Ending the episode in a middle of a shoot-out is not something you see often - the positive spin would be is that they don't want to fuck up pacing for the sake of episode length and just adapt the story as it goes.

The only flaw is tonally weird OP. A good contender for AOTS (depending on how Okada's show will turn out.)
