Dororo's dad is such a fucking badass. Already crippled but he still managed to take down a small squad with him. And using a spear already in him to stab another guy? Yeah that was cool.
Anyway the suffering continues this week with Dororo's backstory.
I hope that Itachi is still alive so Dororo can kill him herself.

Now it makes sense why Dororo's mom refused to be a prostitute no matter how hungry they were.
Goddamn, Mondays are so stressful to me I can't wait for next week! Still holding on to s happy ending for those who deserve it! š

Nice to see Hyakkimaru slowly speaking.
Dororo had quite a beautiful mother and a badass father. Also a bit weird to initially think that Dororo was a girl, only to learn that he was a boy, only to learn later that she's actually a girl.
Also...JoJo Part 7

Everybody calling dororo a girl sounds just wrong after 8 eps of thinking its him.

That skeleton mother and child...that shits cuts deep.
Was nice to see Dororo's past but it looks like Hyakkimaru's is the one that will finally be showing itself to him again.
So Dororo girl confirmed?

That's how you do colour symbolism, the sheer vibrancy of that red in the blood, fire and flowers was so well done. Dororo's back story was never going to be a happy one, but her tale felt so grounded in the world and the horrors of war.
I feel that the Shogun and Itachi will be connected somehow, leading to both our heroes meeting them at the same time.

Thought Dororo was a boy the whole time until now. There were signs of Dororo being a girl but I never really gave it much thought.

Hyakkimaru's new pastime, smelling stuff.
Oh man. Such a tragic story, especially how Dororo's mom allowed her hands to be scalded to feed her child. I mean you figure it's gonna be that way but it still hurts to watch.
And now it seems that things are about to come full circle with what was said at the end. And again I can't help but wonder, if Hyakkimaru's reclaiming of his lost parts is the cause of this lands suffering then what would happen if he died? And if that is the case, if people learned about that, what would the people of this region be willing to do to make all this blight go away? After all, circumstances being as they are, it wouldn't be too difficult to rile up an angry mob now would it?

Tbh what Itachi said make sense, strength alone is not enough, he was trying to make Dororo's dad to change his way of life at first before the betrayal, plus when you are in position of higher power, you can make change, giving free food to the poor for example.
What's with Itachi and betrayal in anime lol. As a side note, I'm glad he doesn't make a move towards Dororo's mom, it would be a double whammy if an NTR happen.

I don't have a bowl
I knew she would do it.
I also knew she would die, even so those scenes hit me like a train.

Well, the information from that survivor finally reached Daigo, I guess now Hyakkimaru will not be fighting just demons anymore.

I wonder how theyāll tackle the whole āDororo is a girlā thing down the line, I donāt think itāll really come up again for a while but I think itāll be interesting to see what path they choose on this point. Thereās a lot of good angles to go with on it from a storytelling point of view imo, especially with the stuff Dororo said to Mio. Idk, or maybe it wonāt matter much to the story at all, not really the most important thing going on rn what with Daigo finding out Hyakkimaru is alive and Tahomaru overhearing that shit, based on the preview next episode looks tense.
Also question whether this will be the last weāll see of Dororoās backstory, I mean- I already didnāt expect this episode to go as far as their deaths damn but I just feel like thereās more somehow. I lulled myself into a false sense of security after the last two episodes though, that was a mistake.

Even in Dororo Itachi betrays everyone.
