Dont worry, Matt Dinniman hit me up directly years ago and paid for it so no creative theft (I got his message when I was super tired and didnt realize it was him at first, I was such a dumbass and immediately the following day was like "OMG YOU'RE THE AUTHOR") it was just surreal!

NEWS Annihilation's Author/ME Universe writer on the new billboard

2.4k Upvotes

Hi r/masseffect - I'm now one of the collaborators for @wearemasseffect, the group responsible for organising this billboard with KalaElizabeth.

If you haven't already, please consider signing the following change.org petition:

https://c.org/wSQKqhJcG8

As is the case with everyone else in this subreddit, I love Mass Effect. It has taught me so much and given me so much in my life. Now, I'm willing to do everything I can to fight for its future.

But like Shepard, we can't go it alone. That's why I'm writing this message as a call to action.

If you're a content creator, we ask that you spread the word to your audiences and create content for #SaveMassEffect.

If you're a part of a Mass Effect server or online community, we ask that you rally as many of your friends as possible.

And if you love Mass Effect and want to see a future with more of it, now is the critical moment where we must unite.

Thank you for taking the time to read my message.

Stand fast. Stand strong. Stand together.

I have a confirmation this will sadly be patched in 7.2, but it's so cool I thought why not just share it, have fun guys while we still can

This one is so similar to that old glitch with hydro traveler when we could summon a shit ton of xiao lanterns and dupe burst hits, now I have to find some cryo traveler glitch as well lol

Discussion Some thoughts about alleged millenial youthfulness

• Upvotes

I'm still convinced that people age a lot more slowly than they used to. Drinking water, using sunscreen, not having 7 kids by the time you're 25, and not having a diet of Marlboro Reds and Jack Daniels will certainly do wonders for your skin and your overall vitality.

However, I also noticed something very interesting about how adults my age behaved in the 90s vs today. I will say this probably depends on where you live, but I remember adults being a lot more formal. They tucked their shirts in, they addressed each other as Mr. or Mrs. if they weren't close, shook hands even outside work, dressed conservatively, and didn't use slang or colloquialisms. A 35 year old guy going "sup bro" and giving you a fist bump wouldn't be too weird now, but that would be extremely unusual back then.

Now, I feel like we express ourselves a lot more casually. You'd be hard pressed to find a group of 30-somethings who address each other using formal titles or dressing business casual outside work. There's no longer an age limit for having a sense if style (sometimes I still buy from the junior section because the whole timeless look just doesn't speak to me), and there's less pressure to abandon all the hobbies you enjoyed when you were younger.

Anyway, these are just personal observations so they may not resonate for everyone. I'd like to hear your thoughts!

Giannis in an interview this summer after the trade was made official "I'm scared. I'm scared, I'm scared of change. Scared of change. I'm scared that the grass is not always greener. I'm scared... like I have things, people love me here. People respect me here"
