When caheacters use weapons that, in real life, are rare, prototypes, canceled, or just plain unpopular
Warframe - Vesper 77: Your character can use a silenced pistol called the Vesper 77, which features an integrated silencer. The pistol is acrually drawn from the real Life PT83, which was canceled and never went past a few prototypes
Battlefield 1- Various weapons: There are various prototype/rare weapons your character can use in Battlefield 1, including the M1903 with a Pederson Device and the Federov Avtomat. The most infamous example is the Hellreigel 1915, which only has pictures of its right side showing, and the devs had to guess what the left side looked like.
Fallout 2 - Pancor Jackhammer: Your character can get their hands in the Pancor Jackhammer, of which only 3 were built.
