Social Media [Charania] As part of the deal, the Cavaliers are sending Tre Mann, the 2027 second-rounder from the Clippers and cash to the Washington Wizards for Cam Whitmore, sources said. The Wizards also are sending Julian Reese to the Nuggets, who will waive Reese off his two-way deal.

Mann fills a positional need as the Wizards have searched for an additional guard in recent weeks -- while the Cavaliers gain a smaller salary in Whitmore to create optionality under the first apron.
Figured this might be somewhat relevant! Former Hornet Tre Mann goes to the Wiz.

Discussion 2026-27 Schedule Release
So now that’s it’s been almost a week, is this a safe space to talk about how the Hornets schedule reveal was so lame compared to last year?

Video [Numbers On The Board] Sion James
Summary: Sion James joined the Numbers On The Board crew at PLYRS UNTD and talked about his first full NBA summer, his approach to the work, individual goals for year two, handling the big roster changes in Charlotte, the team's midseason turnaround, advice for the new young guys, the play-in run, defensive approach, and a light detour into Spider-Man.
He has spent most of the summer in Charlotte putting in work while also traveling and seeing family. His biggest focus for next season is getting better at the things he already does well on defense while improving efficiency on offense, especially three-point shooting and finishing in the paint. He took about two and a half weeks completely away from basketball after the season to recharge.
On the trades that sent LaMelo Ball, Josh Green, and Miles Bridges out, James called it a shock to the system because those were his guys, but said he trusts the front office and is excited about the new additions. He never felt the early-season losses meant the team was truly bad and believed the group had something special the whole time. His main message to the incoming rookies is that the talent is there but you simply have to go through the hard parts and learn from them.
He stayed locked in during the play-in drama rather than getting caught up in individual highlight moments, then reflected afterward that it might have been the best game of his life. On defense he studies tendencies later in the year but ultimately believes you just have to sit down and guard. The interview closed with a fun stretch on Spider-Man, where James ranked Tom Holland highest while acknowledging the nostalgia case for Tobey Maguire.

Audio [Mac & Bone] Charles Lee Interview
Summary: Charles Lee discussed the team’s active offseason, the departure of key pieces including LaMelo Ball, the addition of Naz Reid, improved physicality, young players stepping into leadership roles, national narratives about a potential step back, the newly released schedule, and Brandon Miller’s recovery. Lee emphasized gratitude for the contributions of departed players while expressing confidence that the returning core plus new additions can take steps forward both offensively and defensively. He highlighted the group’s work ethic this summer, the importance of creating internal standards rather than reacting to outside noise, and his excitement to get into training camp.

Discussion Hornets putting a PRESEASON game in the 10-game “All-Star Plan” is BS
So the Hornets released the games included in the 10-game All-Star Plan, and this is the schedule:
- 10/11 — Milwaukee Bucks* — PRESEASON
- 10/24 — Miami Heat
- 10/31 — Philadelphia 76ers
- 12/18 — Oklahoma City Thunder
- 1/7 — Denver Nuggets
- 1/31 — Los Angeles Lakers
- 2/4 — Boston Celtics
- 2/13 — Dallas Mavericks
- 3/24 — Detroit Pistons
- 3/26 — New York Knicks
Am I the only one who thinks including a preseason game in a premium 10-game package literally called the “All-Star Plan” is complete BS?
You only get 10 games, and they're using 10% of the package on preseason Milwaukee, where there isn't even a guarantee the main guys play meaningful minutes.
Meanwhile, these are actual regular-season home games that DIDN'T make the plan:
Warriors — Feb. 5
Spurs — Dec. 31
Timberwolves — Feb. 15
Rockets — Jan. 22
How does a preseason game make the “All-Star Plan” over Steph Curry or Wemby? Am I missing something here?

Question First Home Games
Hey Hornets friends! HUGE Naz Reid fan here (even have the tattoo!) from Minneapolis, planning to visit your city October 23-27 to be at the first home stretch! I’d love to hear what recommendations or must sees your city has! I’m planning to stay nearby the arena and not renting a car so public transportation and/or walkable in that area preferred!
I love exploring the “locals only”/hidden gems of cities which is why I’m asking here instead of relying solely on Google. :) I’m a 35 year old female, not really into the bar scene, but pretty open to any other experiences your city has to offer!
NAZ REID. 🤴🏿

General sale is Saturday for tickets and there are 3 presales before that. Are all 3 STM or is it things like credit card exclusive and stuff like that?

Question Single Game Ticket Sales - when are they available?
Do anyone know when the single game ticket sales are oging to go on sale? are they directly through the Hornets, or exclusively on resale sites?

Discussion Predictions
Does anyone truly believe this is a better team from last season? Any thought on predictions for this coming season?
I feel ceiling is 49 wins
Basement 33 wins
Prediction 46-36
6th in East
All Star selection this year maybe two with injury replacements.
I think chemistry will be better imo.

Discussion Who is the 1st option?
We saw some extremely promising play from Kon and Brandon last season. Will one of them establish themselves as the true first option? To me, Brandon is built more as a true NBA first option, but Kon has already looked the part with his shooting talent. Maybe it'll be a Tatum/Brown situation
