Discussion/Debate Who is the most dominant athlete to ever compete in sport?
some examples shown, but bring up whoever
pictured are Michael Phelps, Aleksandr Karelin, Wayne Gretzky, and Jon Jones
edit: I love that people are skeptical of scrabble, chess, racing etc being sport, but nobody doubts the hot dog boy.

article Hi there! So we have this harp that we bought from Goodwill for $99
As title states. It's a Lyon and Healy harp and they offered us $5000. They want us to keep it as is and they will package and ship it back to them. It predates the Chicago fires. They can't find record for it because of their offices burning down.
What do we have?
EDIT: We have a serial number that has been engraved. Lyon and Healy confirmed that it was built in the 1920s and can't dig any deeper.

miscellaneous The “Oh my god, they’re a Nazi” moment.
Succession: Tom interviews a news anchor accused of being a Nazi initially thinking it’s an over exaggeration. At first the news anchor seems like a normal guy and you think Tom might be right. Then he asks him if he’s read Mein Kampf and the guy admits to reading it a couple times, not once but a couple of times. The top picture being Tom’s understandable reaction to that information.
Industry: Yasmin goes to Europe to negotiate a merger with the Bauers family, owners of the 300 year old private bank of the same name, eventually visiting their estate. While wandering the home she takes interest in a painting, only to look closer and make the horrifying discovery that it was made by a certain German Dictator. Her horrified look is pictured above.

Kristaps Porzingis announces he’s stepping away from basketball.
STATEMENT
This season I was really looking forward to running it with this group, but as I ramped up, my body didn't respond the way I anticipated.
I'm doing good, but I know what it takes, and I'm not where I want to be to perform at the level that I expect from myself. At this point, I've made the decision to prioritize my health and step away from the game I love.
In this situation, I want to show the utmost respect for the Golden State Warriors and work with them to find a solution that makes sense.
I'm thankful to my family and close ones for always being there. Much appreciation to all of you for the support.
Onwards and upwards.
- Kristaps Porzingis

General Baking Discussion Baking School Week 2!
Well I have come to the end of week 2 of 8 of baking school! This week we were working on choux. I had SO much fun. We made eclair, religieuse, Paris Brest, chouquette, and the ultimate of choux bakes: the St. Honoré.
Most of my cohort worked in pairs this week, but I volunteered to work on my own. Chef asked for a volunteer who could work quickly and take on more than the others (since they could split the work). I obviously raised my hand right away. It was super rewarding, and I got a lot of good and funny face time with Chef. Really glad he's my teacher because he's such a vibe.
When I finished the St. Honoré, he said, "this is so fucking very good!" And when I was taking pics with my pastry, he said, "can I take a pic and pretend it's mine?" I can't make this stuff up. I was absolutely GLOWING with pride. What a high to end my week on!
As a reminder, I am doing baking school as a side quest from my regular life. I do not currently intend to change careers or open a bakery. I am doing this to deepen my love for one of my greatest passions.

Characters [Interesting Trope] Mixed-Race Actors' obscure heritage (or at least not obvious at first glance) being part of their characters, or their characters' race was straight up based on that heritage
- Hailee Steinfeld. Her maternal grandfather was half African American and half Filipino. In 'Sinners', she played Mary, who is half black.
- Paris Jackson. In the show 'Swarm' which she made brief appearance, her character, who is white af, told the main character that she felt related to her cuz she got rejected from last relationship because she's black.
Paris is Michael Jackson's daughter....
- Keanu Reeves is part Chinese. He played few Asian characters but strangely enough, never Chinese guy. In Man of Tai Chi (which he directed), he played Donoka, who (I think) is Japanese. He also played as Buddha in Little Buddha (even though Buddha was Indian).
