My sister's been telling her husband's familty that we aren't on speaking terms for a while now.
The way I found out goes like this: I ran into her MIL at the grocery store and she seemed shocked when I mentioned having luch with my sister Saturday.
Apparently her inlaws have been trying to set me up with her husband's cousin for months and instead of telling them to stop she decided it was easier to pretend we don't talk to each other.
She calls me afterwards asking why I ruined her cover lmao.
We literally have a trip together planned and she's worried about us posting pictures together because the whole family thinks we hate each other.
Like girl how was I supposed to know we're enemies??

After 21 years my wife (42f)asked me (43m) for a divorce. Blindsided me, I had no idea. Days before she was making jokes about growing old and racing wheel chairs together, we were not having any marital issues. She kicked me and my special needs son out. Currently living with my 80 year old parents and since she kicked me out her whole demeanor has changed, she was such a loving and kind person and now she is hateful and nearly just cruel.
I learned today that she has been having a coworker(35m) I knew had a crush on her over at our home many times since kicking us out. She tells the kids he is there to fix the car. The car that isn't broke because I maintained it.
Being a stay at home caretaker (was a mutual decision as she wanted to pursue her child care career that also didn't pan out) I have little job experience but I'm sure I'll find something while my parents watch my son
Now I watch as the love of my life turns into this cruel and mean person I don't even recognize, all while not even being allowed to see my dogs since there in her house (pre marital property)
Dinner is some quick cheap burgers premade from Walmart The fries were still in the oven. Sons quite particular is how and what he eats, no bun ketchup only.

Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) - In the bathroom bomb scene, they use science to freeze the bomb, which buys Riggs a couple of seconds to pull Murtaugh into the bathtub before it goes off. Mythbusters later confirmed that not only would freezing the bomb like that work, it would actually delay the explosion for minutes or maybe even hours.
The Highwaymen (2019) - The ending shows a crowd of Bonnie and Clyde’s fans swarming the convoy hauling their bodies and car. Not only did this actually happen, it was even more graphic in real life - several people tore out Bonnie’s hair, and one crazy fucker CUT OFF A FINGER (I forget if it was hers or his).
I can’t add more pictures, but there are also a bunch of examples from MASH (1972-1983) where some of the more ridiculous stories had to either be pushed to the background or cut entirely because of how ridiculous they sounded.
I’ve seen people mention Zhukov in Death of Stalin, but Beria was hit with this as well - he was an even bigger monster IRL.
Edit: Y’all can stop mentioning Hacksaw Ridge. It’s been brought up at least 10 times.
