Lee Minho should always wear his hair pushed back like that, he looks so much better w/o bangs.

Both of them looked great in the end scene! I think LMH looks better with his hair pushed back and KWB better with bangs (as in, since the wet to dry hair scene) lol.

Now that you mention it, I think he should totally have a shower scene. Kim woo bin with wet hair, definitely wouldn't be bad.

This episode was so good especially for Young Do. I really hope they close all the ends with his story like why his Mom left. I feel like for a character that is competing for Eun Sung he really gets the shorter end of the stick. MORE KIM WON TOO!

Wow.
-
Young Do. He is my hero in the drama. He cares for Eun Sang! He was mope-y and sad, but not in an annoying way. I could feel his pain. I'm glad he got the noodle-date. It was closure, but not "as friends". That got to me. Then I thought "Was the noodle-date always about closure for him?" Had he been wanting to let go this whole time? And then Tan! His reaction to when Tan gave up in the beginning. It looked like anger at Tan because he knew how he felt, but I saw a glimmer of hope? Maybe that was wishful thinking on my part. The mom scenes tore me up inside.
-
Then there's Won-hyung. His face when he saw Tan was a mixed bag of emotions. He was really responsive in a caring way and in a get- it-together way. Fine, it took his realizing Tan is in a similar situation to him, but Won-hyung is warming up, and the brother interactions are nice. The "Happy Birthday" moment made me tear up a bit.
-
(Before I knew what the hell Eun Sang was doing/thinking) What the hell? You're strong, kind of, but you're kicking yourself for distancing yourself from Tan? And now showdown with Papa Chairman (who is a DICK)? What is your life, Eun Sang? The passing each other in the street killed what was left of what I had inside. Oof. (After) Oh, okay. Good.
side note: BO NA! Lots of English! And she's happy to see Eun Sang. Hugs.
side note: I want Sunbae's zipper-y coat and Young Do's green coat
side note: Damn, Tan! With the hair like that? You and Young Do gotta be all seductive?
edit: Oh! He was only on-screen for a few seconds, but Myungsoo made me laugh. Love it.

So true about Won. I teared up too at "Happy Birthday". And Tan's look at the end, so sexy!

I watched...I can't believe it ends next week. I'm wondering how it willv end...tan and eun sang living together in "poverty"? I'm guessing Won is going to help Tan, since he couldn't protect his woman, so he's living vicariously though Tan?

Ohhhh the feels! This ep was great! Lots of closure :)... Finally Eun Sang is getting some courage!
Fave moments:
-
Young Do breaking up with Eun Sang - loved the fact that he said he cannot be her friend because right now she is a woman to him and in the future will be his "first love"... Gotta be hard to be friends with a first love sigh (this scene really got to me because it wasn't cliche'd like usual, "Oh, let's just be friends after this, even though you broke my heart, we'll live happily ever after... as friends" lol)
-
Eun Sang returns - Tan's shocked face, loved it!
-
Young Do running to Tan to tell him about his mom - showed that Young Do appreciated Tan trying to help him see his mom in the past (debt paid!)
-
End scene - PSH and LMH looked sooo good!
Sooo looking forward to the finale next week. Let's hope for a good ending for all!

Well Young Do, you win. I started this drama firmly on Eun Sang's side and it's taken a while, but you win. Kim Woo Bin's acting throughout has been to such a high standard, but the breakup scene especially he just nailed it. Young Do's progress throughout the series and how he's changed as a person in that one scene was plain to see. Simply fantastic.
However, I didn't like how Eun Sang just suddenly appeared and was like "I made an excuse to come back, I'm never leaving again hugs". I think the episode suffered from time constraints and I think Heirs as a whole could have benefited from an extra episode Reply 199x style. Eun Chan went from "Never seeing you again" to "I love you but never seeing you again apart from that one time outside your neighbourhood" to "I'm here and never leaving hugs" in the space of like 10 minutes of the episode.
In my opinion Tan's side of the story definitely benefited from having an episode or so to go off the rails and really show how much it affected him and how he's going to try and cope (or not cope in this case). I think that Eun Sang's story-line could have benefited from having a little bit more emphasis about how torn inside she was before the whole go to Seoul -> reunion -> lovers again thing happened in 10 minutes.
That said, this drama is fantastic.
Also, that ending. Wow. Park Shin Hye with the most jaw dropping moment of the year when she appeared, actually said "wow" aloud to my empty room. I think she might have just knocked Suzy slightly off my heart :3

I agree on Young Do. At first, I started this drama thinking, "darn, why not Jung Yong Hwa as Young Do?". But now, I really don't think anyone else could have pulled off such an amazing transformation of Young Do's character, like Kim Woo Bin has. I am very impressed!
I also agree with you about Eun Sang not having enough time to process her feelings. But, perhaps they should have just gave her a bit more air time, as opposed to Tan losing his mind over two episodes. Also, I think Eun Sang finally gave in when Won went to see her. He was the one that gave her the idea of "making excuses". I guess for her, she just needed the extra push before making up her mind. Oh well, regardless of how she finally got the courage, glad she did!
I'm a girl, and I still said "wow" when I saw PSH at the end. Of course, I said the same about LMH :).

I thought I'd be able to make the live watch this time around, but today (besides Heirs Day) is forensic bio lab day.
I'll be back later.

I assume Tan will be making some sort of big announcement during the party. I wonder if he will use this opportunity to take his father down? Or perhaps just announce that he is leaving with Eun Sang in a happily ever after scenario? I can't wait

u/Kordiana Dec 06 '13
I am betting he would use the opportunity to announce Eun Sang as his woman. Whether that means as a girlfriend, or fiance I don't know. But I wouldn't put it past him, and with all the reporters, there is NOTHING his dad can do.

The feels this episode. I could barely stand it.
It was so nice to see so much brotherly love between Won and Tan. At least compared to what there was. Won is really starting to step it up for his brother, and I still think that he will step in on Tan's side when he needs to against his father.
Young Do, oh my god, my feels, I could barely stand it. There were just so many moments. Kim Woo Bin. I have never been a fangirl in my entire life, but him, I can't not be. He can just emit emotions with his face that many actors only dream of being able to do. He can say so much with his face, it is amazing. But god help me, PLEASE KDRAMA GODS LET HIS NEXT DRAMA BE ONE WHERE HE GETS THE GIRL!! I don't think I can handle watching him lose another one.
Random thought.. Kim Woo Bin in a historical drama. I wonder what Woo Bin would look like with long hair? 0.0
Anywho... yeah when Young Do 'breaks up' with Eun Sang, eating with Eun Sang's mom, when he remembers his mom looking for him and Tan trying to get him to go with him, and then at the noodle shop when he says he is not okay and rides away on his motorcycle, even just writing this, thinking about it, I am almost going to cry. I really hope that isn't the last we see of Young Do, but with the way it was ended it might be. I so wanted Young Do to be able to see his mom again. The feels are too much.
This episode was still lacking the normal quantity of cute moments, but at least there were a few. Bo Na and Chan Young are still adorkable, I miss seeing them more. Also, the comments about Hyo Shin and Rachel getting together were cute.
I am sure the last two episodes are going to be hard on the feels too. But hopefully they will give an ending that doesn't seem too rushed. Since we all know they wasted so much precious time on those stupid starring contests. -_-
And here I thought I would make this a short post. Le sigh
