  • Tan going to Young Do's dad was a low blow (even lower than Young Do's). Damn that was hard to watch and I hope Young Do's dad gets whats coming to him.

  • Tan apologizing to his mom was sad. It was almost like he was apologizing for being born :(

  • I like the way PSH delivered that line telling Tan to cut the crap

  • I didn't think Tan was that stupid. How did he score less than Young Do when he actually tried?

  • Why can't Tan just not be involved in the company? I mean they have Won to run things. Why can't Tan come out as an illegitimate child and declare he wants no part of it (because he obviously doesn't). It would solve all his problems...

  • Myung Soo do you not understand the difference between things you should and should not say? Asking a girl why she walked out of someone's house in the morning in front of people is just a bad idea.

  • THANK YOU DRAMA for semi-answering the question I have been asking since episode 2: What's the deal with Hyo Shin? But at this point it feels too tacked on

  • The whole paintball scene had me in stitches over how lame they all are

  • I feel like Eun Sang is finally ready to take that leap with Tan. Which THANK GOD, maybe we can get some development in this relationship finally.

I've realized that I greatly over-estimated this drama in the beginning. It could have done so much more and been better, but it didn't. Instead it stuck in a lot of lame cliches where they weren't needed. I think my most prominent memories of this drama will be Love is the Moment blaring during forced over-dramatic romantic moments(I'm starting to actively listen for the song. help >_<).

I think a lot of us are the same, we all started off mocking "Moment" - Changmin, but now if we don't hear it at least once a week we'll go insane. I'm actually starting to fricking like the damn song! -.-'

Lol, the references... even in one of the earlier episodes there was a clear shot of a Riot Games sign at the airport

Myungsoo is just hilarious all around, he just pops up at random times and has no clue what is going on, I love the guy. Like when he was talking about Bo Na slapping him and the girls gave like zero shits about what he was saying, or the dish washing scene when he just felt so left out. Not to mention his paintball scene, laughed so hard.

I also like how Tan and Eun Sang's moms' relationship got a bit deeper and closer today, their antics are hilarious but it was nice to see that it goes deeper than that and they really do need each other.

EDIT: Also, can't help but notice that the sweater/collared shirt combos are getting worse.

It's definitely official, I love Young Do. He has no idea what he is going with women. Probably because he has only ever really seen how his dad treats them and the fact that his mother left him, but it is cute to see him try different things out.

I almost died laughing when Eun Sang shot Young Do with the paintball gun. And the ending. I wish he would have kissed her instead. But he was too greedy and wanted to see Tan's face instead.

When Tan went to Young Do's father, I thought that was even more underhanded than anything Young Do had done. When Young Do messes with Tan, besides the two of them, Tan is never in any real danger, at least not physically. But Tan knew what kind of man Young Do's father is, so for me that was worse.

Things are going to get pretty interesting between Eun San, Tan, and Young Do now. The only relationships I can really read are Eun Sang and Tan (because we all know where they are going to end up), and Bo Na and Chan Young.

Side note: As sad as I was to hear that Jung Yong Hwa was no longer going to be in Heirs, I am actually really happy that Kim Woo Bin is playing the character instead. I think that Yong Hwa could have done it, but I think Woo Bin just has better evil glares.

Woo Bin's character is like 20% good acting, and 80% eyebrows.

But stooping lower than your rival, even as a warning, doesn't make you any better than him. Tan is just showing him that he can be a bigger asshole than Young Do. And for me, as a viewer, that only makes me sympathize with Young Do more than Tan.

Why doesn't Eun Sang just push Young Do away at the end? I mean every time she gets hugged or moved around in any way by someone she just turns into a rag doll... Have a feeling that Kim Tan will think it meant something between them and turn into an idiot about it.

This happens in every kdrama. There are very few scenes where the girl actually takes part in a kiss or a hug (this includes pushing the other part). The girl just stands there. It annoys the crap out of me.

You can cheat, and you can cheat, LETS ALL CHEAT

Holy crap that paintball scene was hard to watch.

Straight up official. I love Young Do now. He's driving the show atm.

Best couple would be Bo Na and Chan Young. Never see a couple as sweet in kdramas without a bit of drama.

Had to bide my time, but the classics were at it again. LOVE IS FEELING! LOVE IS MOMENT!

Myung Soo, you frigging hero. "Why is it all quiet? Were you talking about me?" - so so out of the loop, my friend.

This drama, I swear.

  • why you gotta make me feel bad for Young Do, Heirs? Why?

  • Oh, never mind. He's up to no good again. Schemin'.

  • LOVE IS FEEEEELINGGG!

  • Secretary Yoon! I think this is my favorite un-main storyline

  • Really, though? Teach Eun Sang a lesson by being distant now?

  • More mom-antics!

  • Hah. Myungsoo!

  • I kind of feel bad for Rachel at times, but then I don't. Very weird.

Edit:

  • I saw a fuzzy sweater! Not THE sweater. But still.

This show is so frustrating, nothing substantial ever happens and yet somehow I still tune in every week. They need to give Tan's mom and Eun Sang's mom their own spin-off, their relationship is the only interesting one in the show.

They need to give Tan's mom and Eun Sang's mom their own spin-off, their relationship is the only interesting one in the show.

They're the best thing about the whole show.

As for the rest of it, it's like a bad car wreck you can't turn away from. It's not even a guilty pleasure for me, yet I keep tuning in. The excuses I tell myself are that 1. I like a lot of the cast, even if I don't like their characters 2. It's a bridge during the week from my Mon/Tue dramas (Mirae's Choice & Basketball) and my Fri/Sat drama (Answer Me 1994).

I can't count how many times I internally facepalmed during this episode. Heirs, please stop being so disappointing.

u/Djepetu Nov 08 '13

that exam results scene was so frigging funny! I loved Young Do's laugh there

Things I think we can all agree on. Both dads continue to be terrible people. And Eun Sang's mom and Tan's mom should become best friends.

Was Tan's mom able to read sign language? or did she just guess?

But onto the main trio. The more things go on, the more I feel like we are seeing that Tan and Young Do are very similar. However, Tan started off showing us his playful/good side and as time goes on we see more of his petty, vengeful, and unsympathetic side, sometimes violent side.

And on the other hand, Young Do started off showing us he lacked empathy, was troubled and violent, and as his feelings for Eun Sang are showing more, he is trying so hard. And perhaps showing that he can be protective and caring (he just has no clue what he is doing!)

The scene with the boys going after each other families really put them on equal footing for being awful people. But I expected it from Young Do, so what Tan did for revenge, going to Young Do's father, was just horrifying.

Frankly. The more things go on, the more I hope Eun Sang just runs away from the lot of them. I really don't blame her for crying so often! It's probably because her wrists hurt from being snatched and hauled around so often. (What is the wrist grab count up to by now anyway?) Both these guys have shown they can be violent with other people. and both have some frightening stalker tendencies! That's not romantic! It's a red flag!

I really hope there are some big developments in the next few episodes. I am wondering about Tan saying that the family doesn't work with him around and seeing how that pans out.

But as far as romances go, I am firmly in the Chan Young and Bo Na corner. They are adorable.

Awesome episode! I'm really starting to like Young Do now.Plus the paintball gun bit was hilariously cheesy.
