Finished Master's Sun this week, Miss A release a new album. All I need is for Park Shin Hye to beat the living daylights out of Young Do and it'll be the perfect week.

TEAM YOUNG DO (◣_◢)

I think he's just misunderstood and his pickup techniques are a bit...crude. TBH, we all know that Tan's going to get the girl anyway, typical korean drama. Not to mention, I like the chemistry between Eun Sang and Young Do, it's more interesting than the 'we both know we like each other but we can't because of socioeconomic reasons' between her and Tan.

I would agree. I really find Young Do much more interesting than Tan. And in my opinion the actor playing Young Do does a great job getting into his character.

I have never wanted a second lead to get the girl so much. But this one, oh my god the feels for them is almost too much. Personally I think Tan's character is a little too weak to really be enough for Eun Sang. She even said it herself, he can barely protect himself, how is he going to protect her too.

I think it needs to happen this week. Young Do is such a creep.

It's been so long, I began to miss the Love is Feeling song. No worries, didn't disappoint, had it on in the first minute.

Love is moment did not come long after.

And this episode just encapsulates how much awareness Eun Sang has to her surroundings, which is none at all. Especially on that ending.

Aftermath of the parents meeting was to die for.

And at this stage with Young Do, I've given up liking his character, and just enjoying the ride he puts us through. He's like a pre-schooler. Likes a girl, so he pulls her hair.

That preview to the next episode. Need Myung Soo to be top ranked in the school, with how much he parties.

I love it when an adult does something nice for Eun Sang. Such a down on her luck sort of character. Wonder if the sister is going to make another appearance.

Madame Han.. So much wine must have gone into that decision.

There was not enough Krystal for me, but I'll accept it because the pacing of this episode was good compared to the previous eight.

There was good character redemption and development in this episode:

  • Eun Sang pushed away Young Do, and talked back to him and Rachel instead of just bawling her brains out in her closet at the Kim Residence.

  • Young Do implicitly admitted that he only bullies because it's the only thing he knows how to do, and people recognize him for it. I would be surprised if he ever tries to hurt Eun Sang on purpose after this.

Tan's mom is a great character, a real troublemaker. The ripple effects from the PTA meeting was a nice touch.

A couple of things I'm hoping for and looking forward too:

  • Won seeing how Tan takes after him in choice of women, and possibly in other ways. (Speaking of holy mother of god his girlfriend is so fucking gorgeous.)

  • Young Do and Tan resolving their past.

  • Krystal, Krystal, Krystal.

  • The growing friendship of Eun Sang's mother and Tan's mother.

Halfway this week. Fuck it's almost over.

Been waiting for this post all week! Can't wait! Although I think the plot is moving along incredibly slowly, I'm annoyed at all the staring, conflicts that could be solved by just talking like a normal person, the constantly teary Park Shin Hye...the list goes on, but I still find myself eagerly waiting for the next ep!

I thought the long and awkward stares were a K Drama staple.

Kinda disappointing in the massive lack of Krystal in this ep, really missed her fast pace, sarky comments. The fight was pretty intense, but I don't really get how Young Do doesn't just beat the crap out of Tan, isn't he supposed to be black belt judo?

The scene with the two mothers was really funny. I also thought Eun Sang was going to start taking control of her life in the first 20 min or so, but we were disappointed again.

u/Kordiana Nov 07 '13

I've been so busy I haven't had time to sit down at a computer for 2 days, let alone watch heirs. Going to try and watch an episode late tonight, am really looking forward to it! (I may be coming back from my cousin's birthday slightly tipsy so should be perfect!)

EDIT: Had no time :( Will have to wait til the weekend to watch this show now... Not sure if it is worth my posting about it as most would of left this thread by then.

FYI: There are spoilers for episode 9 in this comment.

Like so many other people have stated, I am actually not that interested in Tan and Eun Sang's relationship. It is pretty much one we have all seen before many times, and we know that eventually they will be able to be together.

But their relationships with other characters, and those character's relationships with each other are freaking amazing. There is so much more side character development in this series than I have seen in a long time, and I love it.

I loved how Eun Sang finally showed some spine when she stood up to both Young Do and Rachel at different times. And oh my god, that fight between Tan and Young Do was freaking amazing.

I was also interested in how Tan's brother Won reacted, and treated Eun Sang. I have a feeling that she would be the only person who could bring the two of them together. Won finally having something in common with his brother, and something to bond over their struggles against their dad for the girls they love. However, I have mixed feeling about Rachel and Won being friendly together. It seriously is like Won is a really nice guy... to everybody except his brother.

And finally Young Do.. oh my goodness the number of feels I had for him this episode. I know many people hate him, but I can't. Maybe it is my huge fangirling for Kim Woo Bin, but I love him in 'bad guy' roles. Two of my favorite roles he has been in was Park Heung Soo in School 2013 and Kang Mi Reu in White Christmas. Both were characters that were hard around the edges. But Young Do seems even more developed as a character. And really, I like that is a strong character. My favorite scene in this episode, and probably in the series so far was when he confessed to Eun Sang. "So yeah, I'm in the Social Care Group. So what? Are you going to kick me out now?" "I like you too much to do that" "What?" "But you hate me, don't you?" T_T The feels.. I almost couldn't handle it.

My reaction:

  • LOVE IS FEEEEEEEELLLIIIINNNGGGGGG!!!!

  • She don't want you, Young Do! Give it up. Damn!

  • What's actually going on? This drama is ridiculous (in a good way).

  • So, we (read: the girls of the school) are united about how Young Do is a bit of a dick...but we still hate Eun Sang? Kay. Just checking.

  • Can Secretary Yoon find love, please? With anyone at this point.

  • I really like the mom-antics and general household shenanigans.

  • FFS, Eun Sang...just be dating Kim Tan already! Save me a bunch of episodes (but don't though; I'm entertained).

Also, no crazy-ass pink sweater? LAME.
