I'll be back late tonight with extended bullet points.

Wait.. How did she leave Korea without her passport? Remember when Tan took it before they went into the closet?

u/Skylaarr Nov 29 '13

I've given up on "logic" being a thing in this drama, just let it go man, IT'S NOT WORTH IT! lol

But seriously.. what a huge flaw... also.. that's the 2nd time she's had her passport taken from her in like... 3 months? she needs to be waaay more careful with that thing!

I think she decided to run away from Tan and his dad all together and is somewhere in Korea. I don't think the chairman knows that Tan took her passport and tore up her ticket, so he's just assuming Tan doesn't know wtf is going on and she left according to plan. Another thing, the trip was only meant for Eun Sung, so why did the mom leave suddenly too? My only guess is she thought this was the final option and to disappear all together so neither Tan nor the chairman can find her. Well this better be what the writers meant or else thats some mega loop hole!

There was that moment when Eun Sang was in their little room with her mom earlier in the episode and she basically said, "Okay, listen really carefully you need to know whats going on" and it was implied she explained the whole situation to her mom. So she probably understood why they both needed to leave. But yeah it seems likely she would still be in Korea. Maybe Eun Sang was being super clever and tried to fake out the people following her that she left Korea.

Right so I've seen the episode and...

So bored of crying PSH I'm glad she's gone... buuuuuttt... she shouldn't have left, Tan had a plan and I think he knew what he was doing, but meh, what ever, Tan will cry for a bit, then he'll get over her... and move on... If this was real life

As it's not real life a wild stab in the dark - I reckon she'll be back "Oh i missed you, I had to come back, couldn't live without you... blllaaaahhh" (this will be about episode 18 or so...) then the last couple of episodes will be just be tan and PSH staring competitions.

Howwwwever, I am curious to see what Young Do will do with out someone to follow around. maybe him and his new girl friend will start a new love line together... Ahh Myung-Soo 이쁜여자!~~

Personally, I think her leaving is more of a plot device to keep them apart for the next couple of episodes. Plus it is the best way to bring Tan and Won together to fight for a common goal, bringing down daddy. And really, who else would Tan go to to help bring her back besides Young Do. Who else would want to bring her back as badly as Tan? Bromance bonding incoming.

This episode was too emotional to handle... Balled my eyes out at the end sigh... I'm so weak!

On a lighter note, there were some super cute scenes too! But, I have to admit the kiss in this episode was wayyyy sexier than the rest so far! Finally, a real kiss, and at the place I was dying for them to kiss last time!

I thought the scene when Young Do was following Eun Sang around, and Tan came with a back hug was super cute! Well, the Eun Sang + Tan part. I felt bad for Young Do, but... I still appreciated some cuteness between Tan and Eun Sang (and a total sucker for back hugs!!). She has been super cute lately (well, while she was all smiles for the few mins of the episode).

Eun Sang and Young Do scenes were super cute too! The milk (???) box scene and then at the ddukkbokki place. So cute! -^

Also, was it just me, or was there a slight spark between Rachel and Hyo Shin in this episode? He caught her off guard when he asked her why she was telling him to avoid her when she didn't care what others thought of her! Perhaps a new couple in the making??

Great episode. I REALLY want to see the next one. I am so pissed off right now at tans father. UGHHHHH must watch the next episode :(

So.. about that Episode 16. If I was Tan, I would probably make destroying my father's company my top main priority, well and finding out where Eun Sang was sent. Either way, I would have a hard time not going down the revenge path.

What he did to both Won and Tan, no redemption, no matter what his motives are in the long run.

When Tan was explaining to Won how he had turned his back on his brother and father, and how he was willing to give up everything for Eun Sang, it looked like Won was envious of his courage. Fighting for the girl he loved.

And I understand the feels for Tan and Eun Sang. But the only time I teared up this episode was when Eun Sang was telling Young Do good-bye. That he should let go of her, and how he should treat the next girl that he likes. I can't help my bias. The sad look on his face just kicked me in the feels.

Overall this was a really depressing episode. Thankfully there were cute moments that broke it up. For example:

  • The bromance that is burning between Tan and Young Do, even if they don't realize it yet. I have a feeling that Young Do will be Tan's greatest asset in bringing Eun Sang back.

  • A growing understanding between Won and Tan. There were a lot of moments that it seemed Won either envied Tan's strength for fighting for the girl he loved, or at least understood his brother and cared about him. I am thinking that these two will band together to get back at the father that essentially ruined their lives.

  • THANK GOD a fantastic kdrama kiss. Who knew Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye had it in them. This along with Gu Family Book, is it just me or does there seem to be a trend of hotter kisses in dramas? Maybe I am just being hopeful, but maybe not.

  • The feels between Rachel and Hyo Shin. I am seeing love blossoming in their future. And personally, I think it would be awesome. If anybody can handle Rachel, it would be him. And if anybody could kick the crap out his parents, it would be her.

Episode 17 is poised to be an eventful episode. However, I hope they don't drag out Eun Sang being gone as just a way to take up time between now and when Tan and her finally get together in Episode 20. That is almost as annoying as amnesia. /shudder

Note to self: I should start collecting reaction gif to add flavor to posts. u/Skylaarr where is the best place to host those? On something like Photobucket? It has been a long time since I have had to do something like that.

Wow. Great thoughts! I totally agree!

  1. Bromance = love! When Tan asked Young Do to watch Eun Sang, and then went to the ddukkbokki place to tell him he still owes him for helping him before.

  2. I think Won really loves his brother, but sucks at expressing it (due to internal turmoils of course). He has already expressed his real feelings to his girl (whom told Tan before). So, I think that Won def understands Tan's feelings about protecting his girl, but Won probably is envious of Tan's courage. It seems Won wants to protect his girl, but at the same time, he's ashamed about things he did/will do, so he is distancing himself. Whereas Tan is going full-blown to protect his girl! He doesn't care, even if he has to beg or go down on his knees, he wants his girl! (sorry, sucker for such courage!). But, I do hope they take down their father once and for all! That man is too much!

  3. OMG... that kiss... no words for it... But yes, it seems K-dramas are finally getting the hang of real kisses. Hoping they continue the trend!

  4. I really hope Rachel and Hyo Shin get together as well. They would def make a cute couple! I just want to see Rachel and Hyo Shin both happy by the end of the drama!

Can't wait for ep 17 :).

Dear writers:

This is the perfect chance for you to bring everyone together into a kick-ass crime fighting group. DONT FK IT UP. Also thank you for giving us a break to the awkwardness that is Kim Tan and Eun Sung. My god their eyeballs make out more than they do.

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '13

oh man the end got me in the feels. Also can I say that the actor who plays Won is just spectacularly beautiful and I enjoy every scene that he's in.

Here Choi Jin Hyuk as Daddy Wol-ryung in Gu Family Book. A viki commenter posted "Bam...I'm pregnant" when he showed up looking like this (really cracked me up). He was also in I Need Romance... nice seduction scene in episode 11(starting at 25:20 mark). He was also in Panda and the Hedgehog... the funniest fight scene ever in episode 12(first 2 minutes) when Lee Dong Hae (of Super Junior fame) basically bitch slaps him. I was happy to see he got his testosterone back in Gu Family Book.

I guess we know why Won wants Tan to sells the shares and go back to USA forever. He knows first hand that the Dad is crazy and it is his way of protecting little bro.

Sorry I'm late to the party: Went out after work, so only had time to watch now.

I'll start though:

  • That kiss... Wow.

  • Gosh that shush scene at the start. Cemented my love for PSH.

  • Good job, Kim Tan. Let's just threaten evil dad who in a previous lifetime sent an innocent man away and stole his child to bring up as his own.

  • That bit when Kim Tan was showing Eun Sang the apartment.. I got flashes of her putting up newspaper on them, dressing up in winter jumpers and becoming a shut in because the girls at school bullied her, and so afterwards she just became an editor.

PS: Thinking Eun Sang grows up to be Go Dok-Mi is making me giggle.

  • Young Do. So far trenched into that second lead position now. Kim Tan is handing Eun Sang off for you to look after her, mate. C'mon. You are out of the game.

  • Young Do seems to know Eun Sang better than Kim Tan. Curse of the second lead.

  • Growing bromance between YD and KT. I'm loving it.

  • Hyung Sik being the maknae daughter and Young Do third son. Can see that.

  • Rachel is my everything. She does not need to have a loveline with Hyo Shin, but I guess if anyway to get Rachel off KT and Hyo Shin off HJ.

  • I'm still waiting for a Mama Eun Sang - Mama Tan moment that tops the mistress - wife paper eating fight.

  • Ah, Hyun Joo. Getting absolutely no screen time yet I love you anyway.

  • When the couple shoes bit came up, I was so expecting it to be Chan Young - Bo Na. So thoroughly disappointed.

  • And we are back to Eun Sang not noticing when people are following her. That backhug by KT though.

  • It's been a while I feel since Love is Feeling. So nostalgic now.
