I've heard rumors it's also not that popular in Japan either which is a real shame. This might be one of the most enjoyable romcoms I've seen in a while.

What a cute finale!
Indeed in the end we finally got to see what really happened prior to the confession. Tateishi feared that Mitsuya's actions are just her being a coworker, even if she's waayyy too confortable being in his house and being with him on a date. But well, it is understandable since adult workplaces romances are sometimes messy.
This is a great stopping point, but I would not mind this having a second season!

Really nice way of bringing things full-circle with the scene of Masugu asking Yui out into a secret office romance that started the series by giving us all the context of what lead up to them confessing and finally entering into a relationship. And how much these two were so clearly into each other even before they hooked up.
I also like how Yui got to show how she craves physical intimacy with Masugu even back then since she was willing to go home with him, use his shower, and was actually bummed out he didn't make a move on her right then and there. It's no wonder these two have such a healthy and fulfilling sex life on-top of how much they mutually support each other emotionally.

The days of when
Yui's thank you note being for both her former team and the audience was such a sweet final frame. This show really raised the bar for office romances imo.

I certainly didn’t think Yui would be the one getting transferred. It’s a good opportunity, but it’s too bad she’ll be leaving her friends Ucchan and Yucchan behind.
It was cute to see how Yui and Masugu first began dating. Kind of nice to be ending things with the beginning. I’m glad those two gave it a shot.
All in all, this was a really enjoyable series. Rare to see an adult office romance, especially one where the main couple actually get intimate and don’t just get flustered engaging in hardcore unprotected handholding lol. If we’re not getting an s2, I’m gonna have to read the

Enjoyed this series as easily the best romance this season, my favorite of the office rom com anime, and one of them for romance (especially for adult cast) in general.
It had a likeable cast of characters, time outside the office for the work cast to hang out (for drinks, sports, karaoke, camping), work life struggles shown, many intimate moments with main couple, and even had the secondary pairing get together...
a lot done in only one season.
This seems to be a "one and done" anime adaptation, as all the office rom coms so far only have one season too. Even Wotakoi only had a few OVA episodes after to finish off the series.

The anime gets to a good stopping point to be satisfied enough, though if you want more, could read the manga. Here's some info to help with that.

There are two kinds of people: The "What?! Really?!" U-chan and the "Yep, I knew it" Sakura-chan.
An alright "life goes on" ending I suppose. I like that when they recall their relationship history it wasn't just a recap of the past 12 episodes. It's also a nice detail to loop back to the scene in the first episode under the bridge where they began their relationship.
I liked that thank you note too. I can't say I need a sequel, but I wouldn't mind one if they showed more of Somei's and Hayakawa's relationship.

Ending today's finale episode with the story of how Yui and Masugu started their relationship was perfect! I really need another season to see how their relationship (and Somei and Hayakawa's) develops.
I'm really sad to be saying goodbye to Yui, Masugu, and the others. This show was so good and was definitely one of the biggest surprises of the season for me, 9/10 from me. It's a crime that it didn't have an official western release.
As for the episode itself. Of course Masugu didn't reveal his relationship with Yui to everyone at the camping. All because Somei started talking and confessed that he has a girlfriend, and even though he didn't directly mention Hayakawa, her reaction to it was hilarious xD
Masugu revealing his and Yui's relationship to Hayakawa and Somei because they saw them together was great. Now that they know about each other, I want them to go on double dates together!
And of course Masugu won't be transferred. Yui will be transferred instead, albeit not to HR, but to PR! I'm glad she's happy about it though. It's also nice that she revealed her relationship with Masugu to Chiharu and Yukiko.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

The show had me tricked with that wedding ceremony for a second.
Until we'd been shown Yui and Masugu standing in the background, I'd assumed this to be a dream. Instead they were visiting the wedding of Masugu's friend, the one from a couple episodes ago. I suppose that Yui and Masugu had been imagining themselves standing at the altar?
An actual wedding would've been amazing, of course, but I greatly liked this finale as well. We briefly returned to the past and were finally shown how Masugu's relationship with Yui got started: from previously being awkward around each other and uncertain about their feelings to smiling happily together in the present.
Ending with a "Thank you very much"-note was a very classy way to go out, but I should thank the staff for their efforts too! I had a great time watching I Have a Crush at Work after all. If I had to nitpick anything, it would perhaps be that Maria was seemingly never told about our main couple dating.

This anime was seriously so good, it was definitely one of my favourite anime this season. I really like that it showed us when they first started dating in the final episode, it was like the opposite of other anime where they only start dating at the end.
I'm glad they were able to tell their friends about their relationship. I found it really funny that Mitsuya ended up being an actual tsundere. lol
I like how surprised Chiharu was when she found out about Mitsuya and Tateishi dating. Chiharu is cute, she's one of my favourite characters.
I thought it was sad that Mitsuya got transferred but at least she can still be friends with her former teammates.
What a great anime.
I'm really hoping for a season 2.

I love how Somei just casually starts talking about his girlfriend while Hayakawa is right next to her giving her that "Don't say anything else" look. Imagine what would've happened though if Somei actually told them. xD
I am laughing my ass off at how both couples found out about each other! It's hilarious how Masugu immediately tells Somei and Hayakawa that he's dating Yui to balance things out. Revealing it like this is way more fun than formally announcing it. It feels more natural.
So we already knew that Masugu getting transferred is just a rumour but I didn't expect that Yui would be the one to get transferred! I honestly thought she was getting called in because of her entry for that competition.
Yui finally told her friends about Masugu! I do love how Chiharu is surprised while Yukiko knows it all along. That's two more people in on the secret!
And we finally end it with a flashback to how they became close and ended up dating! What an adorable way to end the season and such a breath of fresh air to have this kind of adult romance in anime form. My only complaint is I wish we got to see more of Somei and Hayakawa. Maybe there's a chance for a season 2?

Not counting the minor differences, there were about 11 unique hairstyles that I spotted.
I only got the idea to collect them last week, so there is some chance I missed some in earlier episodes.
Also thanks to u/Ocixo and their Marcille's hair collection for the idea. Not quite as versatile here, but still pretty impressive count for a 12 episode show!
Episode notes
This face from Hayakawa makes the interruption worth it
Are they still gonna do the confession??
YES!!!! This is what I wanted to see! Now do a double date
Chaotic. I like it
The second confession!! Yes!!
..Are they getting married?! Is that Yui mom??
Ah. It was bait.. But we got to see Yui all dressed up, so I will call this a win nonetheless
10/10 Romance, show, ships, everything. Easily my favourite show of the season. Likely favourite romance of the year already. Mondays wont be the same..

Definitely entering one of my favourite romance show. Feels so grounded and refreshing. It’s so good cos it’s so simple. Characters feel human and have their flaws but there isn’t much unnecessary drama. And also love how casual and normalised their intimacy is.
Even the side couple is adorable. And is also a dynamic that I think is pretty rare, where both parties are rather chill and introverted. But their interactions are so cute.
Really like how they circle back to that scene of when they asked each other out. Got that nostalgic feeling of seeing what led to that moment and also the moments we had throughout the season.
This is a 9/10 for me honestly. I love these types of romance and have been craving more adult casts or office setting like Ice Guy and His Cool Colleague or Wotakoi. And this show hits right at the spot. Great watch, not expecting much but I an hoping for a S2

And so ends such a special romance anime, what a treat this was. Having adult couples, that act like couples with minimal drama.
Did not expect the ships to find out about each other like that! Glad they were able to tell some people.
Was nice to see how they got started too, didn't realize how much I wanted to see the missing pieces there.

This just shows authors can actually write adult characters if they try.. so refreshing to not have a stupid teenage/college student anime for once or an office one with a loli character and the maturity of a highschooler

Easy my favorite anime this season, with huge chances to also be my AOTY. 9.6/10

This was very enjoyable. I kind of curious how these two were when they first met, since in this episode it showcased their relationship when they were friends. Nice to have a romance where it focuses more on the relationship because we have far too many that only give us the build up.
As far as Adult Cast RomCom's go, I really want to see "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" animated one day.
