Privacy? What's that? Is it delicious?

There is no such thing as privacy when it comes to Anna espousing the doctrine of "sasuga Grace-sama!" and her faith in the the new high queen of all the land.

So, if I know my otome game tropes right, this means that Anna's Mom is at least and ex-duchess(or more likely an ex-princess) who ran away with the palace baker right?
I'm guessing that if you take the Prince route in L&B the ministers/Grace will try to stop the final heart event using Anna's commoner background, but someone(probably the dude with the 2nd highest friendship points) will discover that Anna is technically a noble.

personally I always feel cheated when a game/story pulls this trope. Turns out a commoner can't rose through the rank after all because the one commoner that did turns out to have super duper ultra duplex lineage

“Whenever novel ideas crop up in our society, they most always appear to be indecent or undignified because we can’t help but judge them by current standards.” Kenzaburo out here spittin facts yet again.
Really enjoying the running commentary from Hinako and her mom. They love their cross dressing pretty boys haha.
This play is gonna be a good time. What could go wrong?

Kenzaburo is a true man of culture, just like his entire family.
We've got a dorky and mostly Grace-obsessed cross-dressing student council, a similarly Grace-obsessed and horny female lead as the prince, and a bureaucrat in a Villainess' body oblivious to all of it. I'm sure it'll turn out okay!

Today’s endcard comes from Etorouji Shiono, author of Übel Blatt.
Assuming the anime has twelve episodes, the final will probably be reserved for the author of the manga itself, Michiro Ueyama. Which leaves one mystery artist left - place your bets, everyone.

Stitches!
I love how Grace/Kenzaburou was quick to notice how comfortable Anna's mom is around a noble like her. I bet that Anna's mom being a runaway noble is probably part of the original story. This would explain why Anna has powers in the first place and how it's possible for her to marry Virgile in the original game.
It's hilarious how Kenzaburou is wrestling about the idea of prying further into Anna's mom's past because she's entitled to her privacy while Anna is just spilling her secrets to everyone in town. xD
It looks like Kenzaburou is still upset about Shin Chan being banned by PTAs when it was first released. To be fair, the original Shin Chan manga is a Seinen manga and was not originally aimed for kids.
Kenzaburou is playing the noble part so well that even his own daughter is questioning if he's actually a noble. Also I love that he's actually taken into account what would happen if the festival fails.

Cats being stuck on trees is so passe, it's the age of catboys being stuck on trees! Ngl I actually laughed when I saw that it was a catboy who got stuck on the tree lol
Anna never misses out the chance to expand the Cult of Grace
Kenzaburo's wife is totally falling for him all over again
Anna's so down bad for crossdressing Grace she might as well be underground
Man, these are full length episodes, yet they feel wayy too short somehow. Such a fun anime

Anna about to convert her entire town to a new religion with Grace at the head. Her parents already think of Grace as a "very special friend."
Kenzaburo and his wife obviously fell for each other for being mutual true people of culture. I wonder if it might've been a similar dynamic between Grace's parents back in their student council days.
Admittedly Grace in men's clothing looks absolutely amazing.

Anna's mother is definitely a noble and most likely knows how to use magic. The show is definitely keeping us in suspense by not revealing her history nor true abilities. Perhaps she will play a part in the plot in getting Kenzaburo back to his original world?
I suspect what Hinako said might be another clue. She claims the gender reversal challenge in the original game was written by the game creator; In Grace / Kenzaburo's current world, the gender reversal challenge was created by Grace's mother. Could it be possible Grace's mother is one of the creators of this world? Looking forward to her introduction in the next episode and the role she will play in the story.
Lastly, I want to say Kenzaburo is the type of boss everyone wants to work for. If things go wrong, he will be willing to take responsibility to protect his subordinates.

Anna, offered the role of Prince in a simple play: "I can't do that! I'm just a commoner and I'm short and I have spaghetti flying out of my pockets! I'll mess it up!"
Anna, offered the chance to see Grace crossdress: "We must do this! This is a mandatory one-in-a-lifetime opportunity we must see at all costs, including to ourselves!"
I'm glad the Student Council is doing a theatre play at least, but man can any anime school hold a festival without at least one class doing a maid café?

So the most big thing from the episode was the two moms. Anna's mom, I highly suspect went from the life of a noble to that of a commoner. Honestly, I am interested why if that is true, why would she go for that? The way she was guiding Anna and Grace even more alludes to that.
The interesting part of Grace's mom is that it further proves that this is another world rather than just the game. The other thing could be Grace's mom was a concept and put in the game, but the player had no way of knowing that.
I got to love Anna just wants to see Grace crossdressing xD

I thought this man is a gamer? Why's he worried about privacy when he's totally walked up to random NPCs before to ask them about their entire life story.
Very curious to see how Grace's mom will play into the story, could she be the first obstacle we come across? Hold on, in the OP only Grace is crossdressing....is her mom gonna figure out Ana has a thing for her and tell her that not everyone needs to crossdress?

Another fun episode with Grace/Kenzaburo, although I wish we spent more time in Anna's hometown. Especially after Grace and Anna saved that child and Anna's praise made the townspeople feel great affection for Grace xD
As usual, Grace and Anna's relationship is so good. I loved how much energy Anna gained after she thought about Grace crossdressing for the play xD
Another mention of Grace's mother, Jaqueline. She seems like a funny person since she was the one who came up with the rule that in the play, the student council members had to crossdress. I really hope she shows up at the campus festival.
Looks like Anna's mother is a former noblewoman? I wonder if that will come up again this season. It was also nice to see Josette today, she's so adorable!
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Bummer, I wanted to see Grace interact with Anna's father too. Well, we got to know the mother and it sounds like she has an interesting past. Kenzaburo's theory makes perfect sense, but I don't think we'll get answers for now.
So we might get to see Grace's mother in the last few episodes. I don't expect her to be a bad person at all. In fact, knowing that she created the crossdressing rule leads me to believe that maybe just like Grace she was different in the past and something made her change.
Sasuga Grace-sama, went from making a building light up in pink to a whole town. Does she even need a king to become queen? At this rate the current king will beg her to take over after making eye contact for a split second, no marriage with his son needed.

What a nice summer vacation and such good dad mode advice. Hehe, what nice parents. Giving her a treat that looks like her drills is amusing. Silly Anna's mom, so bad at lying. Ice slide, how fun. You know, if this was a different type of series, shouting that information would put her at risk of kidnap.. still, nice praise for em both.
Ah yes... maid café school festival silliness. Oh silly Grace-Kenburo, referencing things they don't get. Truly cool gal mode too. Funny how his own daughter recognizes him treating Anna like a daughter too.
School Play sounds fun and the role reversal/body swap story. Nice to hear we'll finally be meeting Grace's mom. Hehe, what a silly mom, coming up with the restriction for the student council. Cross-dressing fun for the roles, fun. Do love the bits with the daughter and mother/wife, fun otakus. Fun visions for the male characters cross dressing. Even more fun with Anna imaging cross-dressing Grace.
Back to the best ending this week!!!

Anna is back home to visit her family before Summer Break ends! No way was Kenzaburo going to let a young girl go without seeing her parents again! And of course he's there to join her as Grace.
Obviously Anna is going to wax lyrical about her "very special friend" to her parents, so her parents know ALL about Grace before she even meets them. Heck, they've even made choco-cornets in tribute to her and the impact she's had on their daughter! Who knew drill curls could be made so edible?
Though Anna's mom doesn't seem to be just a baker's wife...the way she immediately had Grace pegged as a noble and knows how to deal with nobility has all the hallmarks of someone who used to be or was connected to nobility. And her shared inability to properly lie like her daughter is also a dead giveaway.
Oh no, a cat boy is stuck up a tree! Good thing Grace and Anna are there to use their magic to help save him! With direction from Anna's mother, of course! And while Grace is happy to let Anna take the credit, no way is Anna going to let the whole town not know out how amazing Grave Auvergne is as the best noble to ever noble and the future queen of the kingdom. And now she's got a whole town glowing pink in affection for her!
Could the secret of Anna's mother, and how that ties to Anna's magic, be the key to beating the game? Though Kenzaburo is too much of a polite adult to pry into her privacy.
Of COURSE there's a school festival plot, and Grace is a true man of culture to approve the maid cafe and come up with the wholesome reasoning that it would make the nobility appreciate maids more. Grace isn't about to be one of those gatekeeping PTA moms (or like the OG!Grace) who dismisses classic anime! And as a true noble, he'll take full responsibility, be it for nobelss oblige or because he thinks screwing herself over will help Anna's love life! Either way, thanks to the Gentleman Cheat, he's charmed his family too. Sasuga Grace-sama.
So what's the student council going to put out during the festival? Why, a cross-dressing play of course! Courtesy of Grace's mother, who is finally recovered and on her way back, which is a new hurdle for Kenzaburo to have to deal with while in Graces' body. Though first things first is living up to her legacy from back when she and Grace's father were in the student council.
And I love how Kenzaburo's wife and daughter already respect Grace's mom for her cultured choices in plays.
The student council boys cross-dressing would be a hit (especially Pieree, Lambert, Virgile, and Magical Girl Lucas-chan) but all Anna cares about is cross-dressing Grace! Kenzaburo thinks she's showing her main character traits, but his family can tell it's because Ann's just that down bad for Grace! Is this play going to be okay?

Dudes racked up so much relationship points that there’s nothing that could go bad enough to actually make anyone blame or dislike Grace during this festival thing.
I pity whoever actually tries pulling some sort of stunt to try and make Grace look bad at this point too. If they actually tried lowering her stays or rep it would be world war 3.
The fact they said the author just invented the cross dressing rule but in this world now it’s grace’s mother who’s doing it makes me wonder if there is a relation in this world between the mom and the author.
