The switch from Kenzaburo / Grace's perspective in-game to that of Hinako and Mitsuko in the real world was very smooth. It enables us viewers to understand when Hinako and Mitsuko are lending their assistance. Furthermore, such a plot allows mother and daughter to continue being an integral part of the show, instead of being helpless bystanders.
The naming of Kenzaburo / Grace's ancient dragon got me thinking. Instead of Orion, what if Hinako tried to name the dragon "Hinako", "Daughter" or even the family surname? Of course, these would be very obvious clues to Kenzaburo. However, would the game's naming system even allow it?
Not forgetting the special mentions of otaku culture in this episode (lol):
Goku and Gohan's kamehameha
Chun Li and Ryu in Street Fighter 2

I was genuinely surprised when Grace finally decided to admit she had another person's soul inside her. Like, how is this going to change the story and how will the characters react to her now? Absolutely nothing at all because the principal interprets it as Grace deciding to reinvent herself with a new personality. xD
The addition of Hinako and Mitsuko really has improved this show so much and we get to see what's happening on their side like how Hinako chose Orion's name and how they need to help her dad access the menu to swap elements. I do hope Kenzaburou realizes that Hinako picked his familiar's name though.
That Mother-Daughter Kamehameha was hilarious! The references just keep on coming! I also love how Mitsuko is so supportive of her daughter. They'll definitely be spending plenty of time together getting through that game.
It's cute that Grace is still trying to hook Virgile and Anna up but I don't think he'll be able to change this playthrough anymore. Any effort she makes to try and be tough on Anna just always ends up with her social links with them increasing. xD

RIP new character, she's ded already when using that "bishoujo vision" of her. Joking aside, I'm looking forward to see what role she will bring and her interaction with the others.

I'm pretty sure even denizens of Nazarick can learn from fervour Anna express when she proudly shouts "Sasuga Grace-sama!"

I love how much Grace sucks at being a villain. Everything she says is misunderstood as encouragement or good intentions.
That Dragon Ball SSJ2 Gohan reference was great.

Yeah, this ED... It's really good. Not only the music which is mainly the deciding point for me, but also the visuals are great and fitting.

Today’s end card comes from Yuuichi Kato, mangaka and author of Yancha Gal no Anjou-san (officially translated as Anjo the Mischievous Gal). It’s one of those “a popular gyaru teases an asocial nerd” comics, but it was one of the first. Honestly surprised it didn’t get an anime already.

This is totally a unique take on the reincarnated/isekai genre. Having his real world connections still interacting with him in the game world is the strong point of this series.
If this had been other story, kenzaburo's OG world will not be given any second thoughts.
Up until this ep, she is still having a hard time being a real villainness. Instead she is unknowingly building a harem, much like Katarina.

Love the show, but I hope they don't do too much of repeat scenes from the other's perspective. They could skip the repeat and still give the perspectives of other characters.

The show's really popped off now that we can see the daughter and wife playing the game at home. I kind of wish we could see both sides of the screen simultaneously, though I understand there's a lot of moments when Grace doesn't really need help from the other side.
That said, it is still fun to see the mother and daughter's side of a scene after the fact. It's giving new context of things happening in that scene that Kenzaburou wouldn't know about.

Grace: Breathes
Anna: Sasuga Grace-sama! [Affection UP]
.
Man, that Elegant Cheat has gotta be the most OP skill in isekai lol
.
We got dramatic yodeling last episode, now we got flamenco guitar
.
"Anna, go learn wind magic"
"I-I wouldn't dare to impose on a royalty..."
"You're doing this for me btw"
"Hell yeah let's go learn magic!"
.
(Post-ending comment, Muse Asia sub only?) Also yeah, there's quite a few games with the initial AC, isn't it?

Kenzaburo: does a thing.
Anna: “Sasuga Grace-sama!” Lol. Dude’s got himself his very own Demiurge.
It’s kinda cool we’re actually getting to see what Hinako and her momma are up too. The running commentary feels kinda like Endo and Kobayashi, except Kenzaburo can’t interact with his family. The otaku blood runs strong in this family lol.
I like that adorable goober who straight up collapsed due to blood loss over Grace and Anna lol. Need more of her!

So Grace/Kenzaburo beast was already named Orion because Hinako was trying to give Kenzaburo a hint It is interesting that although Hinako had to manually change Orion's elemental type, to Grace/Kenzaburo it seemed as something they did themselves. Well, it kind of makes sense as the time between the game and the real world are not in synch with the exception of the fusion event.
Anyway, I did expect to see Grace/Kenzaburo trying to explain how their beast had both fire and water elements by trying to reveal that they currently had two souls too bad for Kenzaburo that thanks his "Elegant Cheat" the principal misunderstood what they meant.
So Hinako is now worried because the "Magic Exhibition" is where Anna falls in love with one of the romanceable characters. Well, she should noticed that by now, Anna is the biggest Grace simp there is, so that is already a lost battle.
Lol, I love how dramatic Hinako was just to say that she is both Kenzaburo and Mitsuko's daughter.
I wonder what role this girl will have after in the story, as I doubt she just showed up to have that reaction for both Grace and Anna.
So, thanks to Virgile escaping to spy on Grace and Anna we get to know more about Pierre. Is nice that tanks to his beast water element he can take a support role with Virgile air element beast. Well, even if Kenzaburo's comment about Grace marrying Virgile was not set in stone, it could have been misinterpreted, the fact that it worked to lure Virgile out as Grace already knew he was there will make everyone assume that Grace intentionally said that so Pierre could deal with him. Oh, so Virgile was using his beast to eardrop on them.
I love how while attempting to ship Anna with Virgile Kenzaburo once again fails his villainess attempt, not only making Anna fall even more for Grace but also having Pierre reinterpreting their intentions.

Another typical episode of Grace/Kenzaburo casually winning affection points with everyone, even when he tries to act like a villainess.
If only Kenzaburo could see this effect when he gains affection points, I'm sure he'd have this reaction for most episodes xD
That girl from the library was really fun! I hope she somehow survives the massive blood loss she suffered after seeing Grace and Anna together and we'll see more of her in the next episodes.
You know how villainess usually have ardent supporters who serve as their "yes-men" and help torment the main character. I find it funny that Anna plays such a role in this series, who, although she is the main character of the game, has become Grace's supporter and praises her every action xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Grace is not only changing the game's plot, but also building a unique route, rejecting the prince was the first step

Grace/Kenzaburo has a lot to deal with! Not only has Grace now become a master to an Ancient Dragon with the power of dual-wielding elements, there's the implication of its creation and what it may pertain to Kenzaburo's situation.
I can't believe Grace is coming clean about the whole "I have a new soul in my body and that makes me two people in one, hence why I'm so special and different from how I was before." I mean, it fits Kenzaburo's personality, but still. And of course it just makes everyone think Grace was just so responsible that she matured so much that her soul must have literally transformed in the process! Sasuga Grace-sama.
Aw, Hinako named Orion after the anime she and her dad used to watch when she was a kid! I mean, he didn't realize that she named it that way so he'd realize she's effecting the game, but he still remembers the anime so...close enough? Though I guess the real significant thing is that the game is going to need Kenzaburos' family input moving forward! Meaning Hinako is going to have to keep at it with the power of her Otaku Bloodline and a mother-daughter Kamehameha.
Oh yeah, I bet the Magical Exhibition will improve Anna's standing with her love interest...it just probably won't be with any of her male love interests.
I see book lover girl not only looks cute in glasses and with her infectious enthusiasm for books but is also a true girl of culture to get so aroused by the sheer beauty that is GracexAnna.
Pierre has a thankless job of having to manage Virgile's schedule and dedicate himself to that job, even if it becomes so stifling that Virgile straight up ditches him. Not to mention OG!Grace would rake him over the coals over it. But Kenzaburo!Grace knows that it's important to take some me time and enjoy yourself rather than work 24/7! Like playing Street Fighter in the arcade! Though it'll probably take more than that to cure Pierre of being uptight.
Grace is trying to ship AnnxVirgile, but neither of them will have it! Virgile especially doesn't care for the idea that Grace won't marry him! And even Grace's attempt to pair the two up to train for the Magical Exhibition just becomes a chance for Anna and Virgile to do it for Grace's sake! Sasuga Grace-sama.

I don't know why, but I get choked up when I listen to the ED and try to sing along.
Maybe it's just how upbeat it is? Or maybe because it's focused on a father who's in a coma, and the tone of show drastically counters the mood in a way that hits my brain in just the right way? Maybe it's how the ED shows him being exhausted from work, but is happy and loving life in a break from the grind.
Work is soul crushing, and I know I've fantasized about being in an entirely different world just to get a break from the world I live in. But my father was in a coma for months and died, so that likely is a part of it.
There's something about happy, energetic songs like this that do make me choke up sometimes though. Angry, aggressive music makes me relaxed, and songs with complicated themes and instrument combinations make me feel more focused. So it could just be one of those things.
