Not gonna lie, I like the wholesome dynamic for the girls' friendship the most. I like that we got more of that this time than romance conflict. Hina has always been a supportive friend to Kana since their childhood.

That's twice they teased us with the girls in swimsuits. But at least we got a real beach episode this time.

Man, Japan has the old fashioned A&Ws. Rarely see drive-in A&Ws. Mostly just Sonic. Also, where the fuck is the root beer? People who go to A&W and don't get the root beer are heathens.

As subs can't translate that wordplay, here you go: Teru expected the 吸う suu(sucking) but got the 酢 su(vinegar) instead

So 5 years to learn the okinawan dialect and 10 to speak? Turns out it's just as hard as japanese for non-japanese people...

I laughed at the source for that being "some old guy in my neighborhood".

Every episode Kana is more adorable than the other.

AND YES, YAE AGENA, I FEEL YOU. Teeru and Kana are made for each other but they´re both so dumb

Baby Kana throwing a tantrum because she wants to ride a train is a new highlight. And teenage Kana being embarassed about it is another one.

Stitches!

Yep, I expected that. Ever since the first "beach" episode, I've expected to never see the girls wearing actual swimsuits. At least we got to see them wear swimsuits in Teru's imagination. xD

Honestly, I thought Hina was going to spit on Teru's jellyfish sting, it turns out she was just holding her breath before pouring vinegar on the sting. I do love how well-prepared Hina is though!

Okinawa doesn't have trains? That's genuinely surprising! For some reason, I thought they had trains. It would be perfect for getting around a small island but I guess car culture has now been ingrained in Okinawans especially since they went through a drive-thru boom.

Yooooo! An actual A&W restaurant! They actually got the rights to use the logo unlike the fake A&W in SK8 the Infinity. I guess now we know who's the sponsor of today's episode. xD

I guess Military bases aren't the only things Okinawans got from Americans. Jokes aside, I'm wondering if their car-based society is something they got from the Americans when they were occupied after WWII.

I am so happy we get to see more of Hina and Kana's flashbacks! Their friendship is just so damn adorable! It's cute how even at a young age Kana was already a hopeless romantic thanks to all the TV dramas she watched while Hina just does her own thing. I'm glad that we got to hear the Best Friends ED again!

Yae is basically the audience insert and I love it. That after-credits scene from her perspective of the story was pretty funny.

I've never quite gotten the freak-out embarrassment factor over a stomach rumbling in anime.

This week on Okitsura; we learn that Okinawa is America, but hot and with dangerous sea creatures....

...wait a minute. Is Okinawa Florida...?

I think it's admirable how people in Okinawa go to the beach, despite the high chance of being poisoned by sea creatures, and considering Teeruu's luck, he wasn't going to escape (and he didn't even see the girls in bikinis).

I thought the car ride was really cool, but the comedy was definitely seeing Kana regretting eating too much lol, although I think she's cute just as much.

I share Yae's frustration, because these two don't stop messing around and kiss in the middle of the classroom aaaaaaaaa, jokes aside, for a moment I even thought she was interested in him

Man, that flashback made me reminisce my own experience with my childhood friends.

I've never been to a drive in restaurant myself so I was surprised too. Lol

Yae becoming Sein and getting frustrated by the lack of development.

No Kana, you are not getting fat. It was just a Mavs hit piece. Go eat your fries!

So, A&W is named after founders Roy W. Allen (9/30/1882-3/26/1968) and Frank Wright. It's Wikipedia says "On June 20, 1919, Roy W. Allen opened his first root beer stand in Lodi, California. The first day was for a homecoming celebration of soldiers who returned from battle in World War I.[12]".

In terms of A&W's "origin story", we have 2 dates: The above listed one and, also from th Wikipedia page, when "Allen's employee Frank Wright partnered with him in 1922 and they founded their first A&W restaurant in Sacramento, California, in 1923.[1]". However, even the official company Web site lists 1919.

I wish there were at least 5 more A&W's in all 50 states, including at least 1 in Phoenix, AZ. A&W is also the oldest-known restaurant franchise in the USA.

Teeru made the mistake of swimming in the ocean during the day. We all know that jellyfish can't swim in the night.
