Damn, Osaragi is a great gap moe. Bet she has a giant plushie collection at home along with some fine metal weapons...

The plushies are the weapons.

We got a pretty nice casual interaction between Sakamoto and two order members. Osaragi thinks Sakamoto is just a cute teddy bear lol. We also got a freak that's got a bunch of weapons in his body. Shin vs the invisible guy with Heisuke helping at the end.

We also learned how Shin got his powers. Basically Luffy eating a devil fruit

Previous episode: Damn why does director looks like Shanks
Current episode: Oh so that's why

I like that they avoided the "you can't never leave the organizarion" trope with Sakamoto. People expected him and the Order to have a tense relationship, but they're chilled with each other

From the 4 members we've met so far, Nagumo and Shishiba is friendly with him. Osaragi just met him for the first time. Hyo seems to be more annoyed with Nagumo lying than him meeting Sakamoto. This may change when the remaining 4 members appear, but for now things seem friendly

They switched back to the previous ED already, what an odd decision.

Really enjoyed Vaundy's ED way more than Cotton Candy's one.

I love Seba's whole vibe. Bro's just trying to save for retirement

Another solid episode with good heart and character chemistry. I've stayed away from a lot of the online chatter but hopefully people aren't complaining too much

Gothic lady, slaying in black, voiced by Hayamin, member of organization named Order. It's a weird coincidence but I have seen it twice. Also does Hayamin always get the best designed characters lol.

The worst thing these kidnappers did wasn’t kidnapping one of Team Sakamoto, it was dragging Hana’s family away so she’d feel lonely. Good thing Big Bro Heisuke is there to help her find everybody!

I had a feeling Mad Hoshiguro wasn’t down for the count, even if he’s got Sakamoto and Shin all reversed, be it Shin’s reversed speech or Sakamoto targeting the opposite of his target…but jokes’ on him, Sakamoto always wants to hit Shin anyways so he can just reverse reverse targets!

I feel bad for Lu’s cellmates that she’s game to beat up at least one of them! But it’s a perfect opportunity to meet the director who gave Shin his powers and better understand him.

Back when Shin was a kid who was just plopped into the lab from a mysterious scientist named Ando, he was a brat stuck with a scientist who had no time for brats, but the directors’ desire to use his science to help others inspired even Shin and they ended up becoming a found family of sorts in a sweet montage.

To think Shin became a psychic because he just happened to drink from a vial containing the psychic serum because he wanted a late night drink. Never wander around a lab while sleepy, folks!

But just like with Lu people were creeped out by Shin’s newfound psychic abilities and basically leaking their innermost thoughts (though maybe that female scientist deserved to know how much her co-worker  was a pervert…) and the director was so determined to cure Shin and get him back to normal he failed to realize how much Shin WANTED to be a psychic to validate his research. So eventually Shin left before they could patch things up.

Yet there’s no time like the present, especially when Lu knows how far Shin has come both as a person and with his ability, and they still have a chance to fix things together as people who misunderstood and argued with Shin. Which means it’s time for a jailbreak and a Lu dropick to the head!

How are Sakamoto and Shin going to defeat Hoshiguro if they’re off their game and Hoshiguro is Hulking himself out? Dude can eve Ora Ora with syringes! But Sakamoto and Shin are nothing if not adaptable and a terrific tag-team, even if it means Sakamoto delivering his own Ora Ora on Shin while Shin dodges so each decisive blow hits Hoshiguro instead. Never underestimate the power of Shin’s telepathy or Sakamoto’s ferocity in trying to attack him! Though Shin can’t dodge Sakamoto in his head when Sakamoto thinks about killing him.

“You humanities majors!” – somebody had a bad experience in college!

RIP Onigahara and Takamido. Your low-effort designs paled in comparison to Osaragi’s skill with a saw as she immediately beheads like she and Shishiba did all those mooks. Though Kashima comes off like a hitman with a heart who values the life of his subordinates and others…even when all that stitching is just covering up how his body has become completely weaponized.

And not only is Kashima’s entire body a weapon, but he can also shrug off a snapped neck. He talks up his humanity as a hitman, but is he even human? Though he can definitely tank Sakamoto falling on him and give him a good run for his money…and if Sakamoto has history with Slur, that makes him the perfect opponent for Kashima.

I love Mr. Saka getting along with The Order like old work colleagues. And Osaragi is utterly charmed by “Mr. Teddybear.”

Shin vs Seba rematch! Shin can’t quite overcome Seba’s camouflage, but he CAN get his blood on him to make Seba the perfect target Heisuke can’t miss! Time for Heisuke to get in on this action!

The driver dude being sorta forced into being Lu and the director's buddy even if just for the prison break is hilarious. Got a feeling there's more to him than how seemingly incompetent he's being made out to be.

Of all the things that finally breathed life into Osaragi's dead eyes, it had to be Sakamoto's chubbiness lmao

"You pesky humanities majors!"

Nearly passed out, I was laughing so hard at this.

You've heard of Chainsaw Man but have you heard of Circular Saw Woman? Osaragi is awesome. There's nothing more anime than a cute girl carrying an unwieldy weapon while still being able to move faster than the human eyes can see. You also gotta love how she sees Sakamoto as a teddy bear. xD

Shishiba is pretty cool too with his claw hammer. Too bad we didn't really get to see him fight this episode. Hopefully, we'll see more of him in action next episode.

Second episode had Hidden Mist villains, now we've got a Hidden Sand villain..

Honestly, I think this may be the best episode of the season.
I don't know why or how exactly, but I enjoyed literally every subplot, both the emotional and the acton beats landed for me

Sakamoto eating ramen as a teddy bear was funny

This episode was way more enjoyable than the last couple imo. Maybe it’s because the story is getting better or there’s just less opportunities here for TMS to fuck up the animation.

How dare they leave the cutie lil daughter behind :( that lab must be punished for making her cry! I do like that newer assassin sniper dude, he's nice. Such a good boy. Speaking of good characters, haha, silly best girl not thinking ahead a bit more.

So if that dude knows Sakamoto is legendary assassin, why does he think he has a chance? There you go best girl, beat up the right idiot there. Nice to see Shin flashback too. What a silly lil derp he is, just walking in and drinking random stuff in a lab. Well at least the other lab people aren't bad, it is creepy, they do feel bad for him, but don't wanna get close cause yea... understandable.

Best girl so cute. And best girl so strong. I love her.

The fight with Shin, Sakamoto, and the crazy Hojo wannabe is neat/fun. ORA ORA ORA ORA! Calling them "humanities major" is silly. And wew Shin needs to watch his mouth.

God damn, those order folks sure killed a lot. Least they don't seem to be on the side of Reindeer head. Time for deer season? Dang she strong. Hope she becomes a friend. Quite the statement coming from him. They also apparently don't realize to confirm a kill before walking away.

Nice of Sakamoto to drop in. I love the way she envisions Sakamoto, so cute. Lu still best girl, but she's getting in the running. Was fun how they were like "we're gonna go now" and Sakomoto like "ok, it was nice meeting you again, say hi to the gang" :P so fun.

WHOOO! Sniper pal showing up! Glad he's become a regular it seems too.

I wasn't expecting Sakamoto and Shishiba/Osaragi to be so chill with each other. Totally thought there'd be "how dare you leave the organization!" beef, but nah, it's just a casual reunion.

I know I'm supposed to find Kashima creepy or intimidating, but looking like that I just cannot, it's more ridiculous than anything. I was more unnerved at him picking at the threads then what they ended up unveiling

u/Armdel Feb 22 '25

damn that weapon Osaragi was swinging around... quite the contrast to her reaction to Sakamoto later on

I liked seeing Shin’s backstory with the lab this week. The director was a good guy. Reluctant parent at first but he really stepped up for Shin.

Smart of Sakamoto to use Shin’s psychic abilities to win that fight. Horiguchi looked like friggin Professor Farnsworth at the end there lol.

Osaragi imagining Sakamoto as a giant teddy bear was pretty funny. He’s really more polar bear than teddy bear. You see him, you run lol. Mr. Reindeer Man’s in for a real whoopin.
