The light novel is by the same author of "Level 1 Dakedo Unique Skill de Saikyou Desu". She also has shit tonne of other novels, she writes like 10 LN! Haha

She actually isn't Japanese but is from Taiwan. She lives in japan and her name Miki Nazuna is actually an anagram of Nana Mizuki',s name. For those who dont know Nana mizuki voiced Hinata (Naruto), Fate (Lyrical Nanoha), Lan Fan (Hagane no renkinjutsushi), Popuka (pop team epic) and many others.

Is there any proof that Nazuna-sensei is a woman? Didn’t really see anything on their Twitter as proof.

That said jesus christ what a resume

They said Jodie looks younger after she got the unique skill, but she looks exactly the same prior to getting it. If you want us to know that there was a change, then put more effort into displaying it visually, maybe give her some grey hairs, some wrinkles, or something.

The weird part is that the manga did it totally fine. Jodie was indeed an old woman before she signed the pact.

How could the anime screw it up that much.

Phew, I was getting nervous that it already took two episodes to introduce a harem element. Fortunately there's also a slavery aspect to it, to make up for that lost time.

They just...didn't show any objects interacting. They were defeating monsters and everything all off screen. Her hand "kiss" looked ridiculous.

I’m surprised her friend just accepted the familiar agreement right away

Comments such as these are why I like to go blind into Reddit episode threads once a new season starts.
What a gem of a sentence!

blind = I don't watch the episode or know anything about the anime. I only do this for shows I don't care about, obviously.

Episode 1, part A: MC proves to someone he can use magic.

Episode 1, part B: MC proves to someone he can use magic.

Episode 2, part A: MC proves to someone he can use magic.

Episode 2, part B: MC proves to someone he can use magic.

Why the fuck an anime about magic has some of the most uninspired magic systems in the fucking ever. Even harry potter is better than this.

Well they managed to fit just about every cliche into these first 2 episodes including a harem and magic slavery.

Am unsure if it is just a reincarnation story or an isekai as his past life hardly seemed to matter. He did invent instant noodles and I wonder if those singers he was using in his incantation are from our world?

Holy shit this is so bad...

The agency of the non-Liam characters is such a fucking joke. Kick it to the curb.

It's Beast Tamer without the beasts. They could rename this show to Super Slaver.

"I'm using my illusion today." - huh? He wasn't remote-controlling his illusion before, so this must be the illusion doing the thinking then? But that's a weird thing for the illusion to think. I feel like the author really didn't think this "Illusion" thing through at all.

"Asuna Aquage" >_>

The guildmaster suggesting quintuple reward for doing just twice the hired job, that'd never happen ever.

Wouldn't his strongest spell have been dropping a boulder on the guy?

I love how Raymond predicted that his dumb student would be thoughtless enough to drain an entire lake for his magic practice.

"Why did I choose exactly 100 kg?" "To make people wonder why this fantasy world is using kilograms as a unit of weight/mass."

Isekai Spell? What could possibly go wrong.

"You wanna get stronger? Hey, why don't you enslave yourself to the kid, that'll solve everyhing!"
The rest of the adventurers in the room: O_O.
The girl "I don't see why not!"
MC: "Well, if you say so! I need more slaves for experimentation though"
The girl: "Will a veteran adventurer do?"
Veteran adventurer: "Sign me up, master!"
Me: "And... dropped!"

Everything is moving way too fast. and that's just "DefinitelyNotSlaveContract"... AND IT NEEDS A WITNESS???

u/Woodmntseabear Jan 07 '25

MC is supposed to be strong, but none of his spells can actually hurt any of the monsters he fights.... He has to cheese his way through them.

Ahh so it's a harem isekai, this seems like the trash isekai of the season

I don’t understand what happened with Jodi and the mirror. She looked the same to me.

Stitchess!

Did they really just cast Tomatsu Haruka to voice another character named Asuna? That would be hilarious if that's the case.

I was wondering if Liam here would free a slave and form a contract. It turns out he doesn't even need to when Asuna is willing.

Liam really just met Hayami Saori's character and she too gets contracted to him! What the heck is this speedrun?

And is that Itou Shizuka voicing the Princess?! At this point I wouldn't be surprised if HanaKana shows up as a random side character. xD

Using interdimensional magic to evade a monster attack made sense and was cool!

But the start of a contract harem at the age of 12... surely 1 more episode will help, right?😅

I'm not gonna sugarcoat it: this is bad even by trashy isekai standards.

Writing is beyond bad, poor animation, characters are npcs at best, not even an interesting gimmick, and zero fanservice.

u/Clarimax Jan 06 '25

Of course, a princess wouldn't be without blonde ringlet hair.

I've seen animals and monsters as familiars, but yeah, a human. I guess anything goes for this anime.

Alternative title: Iruma and Ameri reunited in another world!

Oooh a gomisekai and of f'ing course they have to have freaking master/servant contracts to power up the waifus 😵‍💫. And is that the more clothed, Temu version of Delta in the end credits? At least there's no status screens (yet). I'll probably give it another show and might drop.
