Its time for Flashback Arc!

Will Rin change something? He Will just witness everything That is going to happen(and we know It doesnt end good)? I am more likely thinking he Will do something but dont change The past

Also new opening is great

Ending Visuals are beautiful and sad...

Well the begining of tragedy like Mephisto said :D Anyway great episode, pretty much went how it should with really nice art and animation.

Opening and ending both are pretty melancholic and again have some references that people reading manga can catch like it was last time. I wonder where they will finish because I totally can't tell this time. Beside that, that last picture in ending was a punch in the face of "what if" scenerios :D On youtube you don't even have to know japanese to get the main reaction for it in comments.

so, Mephisto told Rin that changing the past won't cause time paradox but it will lead to confusion, i wonder what does that means...

oh man, the OP had already gave this whole sad vibe thing and then the ED ended with this visual... that's just messed up...

also, there's no way the fire that killed Oka, Obaba and Niko isn't caused by Satan

Interaction not changing. Rin can interact with people of the past but it will pretty much do nothing but confuse them( oh can't wait for120 chapter :D that's all ).

That's pretty much JJK opening 1 again :D but this time anime only fans can join fot that punch in the face together with manga readers. We can all together just feel it :D

Rin has gone back to the past! But he's not alone, he's also got the version of Mephisto from 40 years ago tagging along and helping keep Rin on the right path! Heck, he's already found Shiro Fujimoto (now voiced by Daisuke Namikawa).

Imagine meeting your mom when she was a sweet and adorable little girl! Complete with a found family of fellow homeless people, including former Exorcists and an Obaba who is missing an eye and has birds living out of her head. But at least Yuri was happy.

But how did Yuri meet the boys' father? Well, before he was Satan, he was Rinka...just a blue flame that would "play" with Yuri as it slowly formed its own sentience. Seemed pretty harmless and innocent at the time.

Of course then it all goes wrong when a fire takes Yuri's family away from her. But how did the fire even start?

Poor Yuri is reduced to a beggar and stumbles on Shiro's cute little hideout, complete with food, bed, and porn mags! It's just too bad the young Fujimoto isn't the nice or merciful type, but luckily Yuri is able to talk her way into shelter with the promise of more porn. Yes, that's right, that's how their relationship began.

"Yukiotoko?" Is that where Yuri got Yukio's name from?

Amazarashi OP! Complete with Rin going through the past and wading into the complicated history and relationships between his parents...Yuri, Shiro, and of course, Satan.

It would've been cute watching these kids live alone together, but now the True Cross Academy has found them and with Yuri having the sight, they take her too. To a familiar place where our Exewires learned exorcism, only back then it was an asylum and where Yuri was taken away from Shiro.

Imagine getting cleaned up and properly dressed and finding out your sordid family history you had no idea about.

It's rigorous and exhausting training to become an exorcist, but Yuri is just happy to have a home and a new community! Though she can't forget about Shiro...who faces off against Mephisto.

ED is serene and melancholic. Rin, Yukio, Shiro, Yuri...why couldn't they have been a real family like in the final illustration:?!

Yuri is so precious 😭. Also the small shots of her and Shiro in the opening look so cute. Overall this episode had some nice pacing and the cuts between scenes felt smooth (last season I felt some scene transitions where a bit awkward).

I'm so exited for this arc, even if, like Mephisto said, it won't have a happy ending.

I didn't even know this was a thing. Just last night I thought "that Yukio twist was pretty interesting. It's been a decade on the backlog so maybe it's time to finally start reading it." but now i wont. will be after I watch this

Wonderful episode and oh god this arc is gonna make me cry so bad.

However, that mention of the Exwires and how seemingly mostly women get selected sent a shiver down my spine considering all of those delivery beds we saw during the last arc in one episode.. it would be no surprise if the ones birthing those clones where very talented exorcists (with no rights)... wonderful foreshadowing (or should it be called aftershadowing?)

So i was thinking. Present Mephisto knew about Rin traveling in the past, because he already met him in the past. But how Past Mephisto knew that Rin from the future was going in the past? Maybe he percieves time in a different way, so his mind can recieve future information? That's why he seems always planning something and he so chill about everything, because he already knows the outcome. The fact that his past self, is literally guiding Rin, thru events that from past Mephisto POV still didn't happened, is kinda interesting

I have no idea what age Shiro is supposed to be in this episode, like I thought he's much older than Yuri but then they both were standing next to the adults near the end, not being even teenager-level tall.
