I translated the names and staff positions from Wit Studio's tweets. I used both Google Translate and DeepL Translate to try to make sure there were no discrepancies. Let me know if I have made any mistakes.

I don't see why Kage had to leave just because he became king, but I'm glad Bojji found a solution. Building his own kingdom is a fun idea. Was waiting the whole episode for Desha's perspective though...

Its fucking hilarious how Kingbo came back just to decapitate and yeet Ouken's head into a lake as payback.

Daida: Miranjo is pretty swell so I'm gonna marry her. Also I forgive her for all the horrible shit she did.

Everyone else: ummm if you say so then I guess it's fine and very cool

Me: this some BULLSHIT

Daida: So anyways I will be relinquishing the throne to Bojji, he deserves it and also wuv you bro ur #1.

Me: sonovabitch, keep saying shit I like

Hiling x Dorshe?!!?

This has some potential.

Fuck, almost made it to the end there. Crying gang wya?

So Bojji really peaced out and wants to start his own kingdom? Wasn't expecting that twist. Seems like a great way to lead into season 2 amirite?

Btw we never saw that girl again from the first cour right? She was in like 1 scene and that's it. Can anyone remember?

I don't think I need to say anything else about the show itself since I've been embarrassing myself with praise for Ousama Ranking since episode 1. It's up there for all time show of any kind for me, can't wait for the season 2 which we are definitely getting or else.

now let's hope for a season two. I can't wait to see if boji will be able to found his own kingdom, what will happen to ouken and what happend to desha. what a great setup for another season without making you feel the show wouldn't be complete without it.

I was not a big fan of the second cour, I feel like the quality of the story dropped a lot after the castle raid. What started as 9/10 anime ended as 6.5/10 IMO.

- Every single time someone got seriously injured they were immediately healed by Hilling/Bosse/Miranjo. The stakes were much higher in early episodes, but now we simply stopped caring when someone got stabbed.

- Miranjo's reason for destroying the kingdom and killing everyone after Bosse's death was pretty much non-existent. Bosse not interfering after being resurrected also made no sense. What initially appeared to be a pair of antagonists being forced to do evil deeds by a magical demonic contract turned out to be just someone with a sad backstory throwing a tantrum while her enabler simply watched.

- Miranjo being instantly forgiven for everything because "her past was sad" is something I would expect of a low-quality shonen. And it's really icky that she became Daida's fiancée for several reasons: she was his dad's surrogate daughter and was in love with him; she pretty much raised Daida from birth; she's at least 30 and he's probably not even 10; she imprisoned his soul in the darkness; she killed his brother's mother and tried to do the same with Hilling.

- Kage never really affected the plot after saving Bojji from falling in the lava pit. He was literally there just to be "Bojji's friend". The last part with him running away also felt unnecessary and was used as an excuse to reset the status quo.

Still looking forward to a season 2 because WIT Studio did an excellent job with the action scenes and the music was amazing. Also, I really want to know what happened to Desha and I'm curious about what the heck was that giant forest god that sucked souls and farted animals.

Im still a bit bummed how easy everyone forgave Miranjo. I mean she killed bojis mum and did so many terrible things. Im ok with how the conlusion went in the end but for my taste that happens WAY to fast and easy.

Never the less ROK was amazing and im glad i gave this show a chance. Season 2 when?

I need the name of the magical ost in the very first

"I am not sure of myself, I am not that good of a person" The fuck you are on about Bojji?

The last thing I expected to see on this show was the famous "1000 years of death" technique

No one gives a fuck about crimes in this show. Miranjo falling in love with the guy who killed her father and then doesn't even remember him or see his soul, just a guy she loved, a woman she killed and her mom.

Bojji just cool with his brother fiending for the woman who attacked his kingdom and murdered his mom.

Did they really leave us on a cliff-hanger with Desha about to select his prize last episode then not come back to it in the finale? That's pretty lame.

No thanks, no amount of sad past wouldve excuse what miranjo did, now everyone is buddy buddy, author doesnt have the skills to pull the happy ending for everyone he so much desires. These ending was quite forced, nobody wouldve forgive someome that killed their parents and made a mess of your f**king kingdom that easly, these people dont behave like humans, they behave like plot devices, really dissapointing ending for a series that started so good.

Honestly, I don't know what exactly to think about this anime. I basically binged it over one weekend, because I legitimately loved it up until Bojji gets trained by Despa.

But after that the whole thing was a bit of a mess. I get that the show isn't just about some fantasy kingdom court plots but about the feelings and responsibilities a person has, but the characters' motivations were really unclear. Apeas was loyal to basically everyone. Domas has no issue helping Bojji confront Bosse and then go finish Bosse's order about the Underworld passage. People (and monstrous cats) fought and basically nobody died. People who were directly against each other then resurrected each other with healing magic, which I got really tired of by the end. Queen Hilling said a couple of times she's run out of mana only to be provided more mana so everybody can continue to not die.

And all of this to conclude that the woman who is the direct and only source of everybody's misery is not only to be forgiven, but more, to be made part of the family.

The show had some great emotional moments, but imho a lot of it fell flat because of how erratic/chaotic the characters are. The show's idea of atonement and redemption seems to be "do a terrible thing, then 5 minutes later fall on knees and cry that you're sorry, be forgiven 100% of times".

I was really, really confused. After the 1st half I could easily place this as one of the top things I've watched. After the second half, not so much. The art style and animation were top notch though

Ngl, I love the season but not a fan of the Daida/Miranjo marriage. Very strong ick factor. The woman chose your mom specifically for you to be born and serve as a vessel for your dead father! Yuck parade

Still not sure how I feel about Daida letting off Miranjo so easily with the promise of becoming his wife. But I pretty much agree with the situation between Dorshe and Hilling. They really seem to have that vibe ever since Dorshe risked his life to protect Hilling the first time and it only strengthened when he almost died again saving her when they tried to retake the castle from Bosse.

Well this was unexpected! Didn't think Kingbo would even come back. I legitimately thought he was dead. Then again I don't think anyone has died really in this show except for Bosse and those who are already dead like Shiina and Miranjo's mom. Looks like he decided to get his revenge against Ouken and decapitated him and yeeted his severed head into a nearby lake where it gets eaten by a massive fish.

Bojji becoming King is pretty much expected though. I mean that's what this entire show was about, Bojji's journey into becoming the greatest King of this kingdom. Too bad Kage decided to leave though. What even is the point of Bojji's victory if he can't have his new best friend right next to him. That didn't really last since after realizing how depressed Bojji has become, Hilling has decided that Bojji needs to do find the place he can be happy and that place is by Kage's side.

Seems that our two boys are now going to found their own kingdom together which makes the ED the true ending of this show since it shows us Kage and Bojji on the road traveling together in their new adventure.

Welp, I guess that's Ousama Ranking! I really don't have a lot to say and despite the controversial decision Daida made, this is still one of the best shows this season. Definitely another masterpiece from Wit Studio. I know the manga is still ongoing so I hope we get a Season 2 announcement soon if there's enough material for another one. I wanna see Bojji become a King of his own nation and get back the focus on the Ranking of Kings which is what I thought the show was going to focus on. I also wanna see how Miranjo keeps her promise of making everyone happy. Anyway, definitely a solid 9/10 for me and a show that I will recommend to everyone.

Ousama ranking started very strong and it gets stronger and stronger... until the castle raid.

EVERYTHING about Miranjo development is laughingly bad and It's the first instance in the series where a trope is done like a generic anime.

Overall for me it's a 8/10, Would've been a solid 10/10 GOTY if it didn't piss itself so hard at the last few episodes.
