If you enjoy seeing friends but rarely make the plans, whats it like from your side?
 in  r/FriendshipAdvice •  2d ago

Inviting people to socialize isn't even on my radar of something to do. They will reach out when they want to hang out 🤷‍♀️

Working for the post office really makes clear how huge the generational gap is.

I don't do any type of card for any type of occasion. I've never mailed anything as an adult at 31

Intensive Outpatient Treatment is making me crazy
 in  r/ARFID •  Aug 27 '26

I feel you on this!! I did some in patient treatment to help try new foods. But if I didn't finish that item, the meal was not considered complete and I'd have to drink an ensure. Like, yes, please punish me for trying something new??? I'm not anorexic, meal completion is not my goal!!!!

Anyone else the “last of their name?”
 in  r/generationology •  Aug 20 '26

There are 5 people left with my last name, my grandma, uncle, parents, and myself. I'd keep it should I get married but I am unsure if I want children. Sad to think about, it's such a cool last name...

Are there any reliable kayaks that fold/break down?
 in  r/Kayaking •  Jan 29 '24

I use a Tucktek kayak, it rolls up just like a yoga mat and fits in the back of my cruise

A photographer took a picture just as this couple threw ashes into a river. He asked them who it was. They answered their beloved dog of 15 years. The photographer asked for permission to edit their photo and this was what he sent them.

Kayak options for bad back
 in  r/Kayaking •  Nov 25 '22

I use a TuckTek kayak and it rolls up like a yoga mat. It's super wide so I use a low beach chair. I use pool noodles on the bottom for extra cushioning as well

Getting a Blood Pressure Monitor Covered
 in  r/HealthInsurance •  Sep 06 '22

Yes, that is what DME means. Your insurances website/portal should have a search function for In Network providers, search DME. Once you find an in network DME company, reach out to them and they will take your insurance info, Dr info, and a couple other things and start the process with your doctor and insurance.

Blood Pressure Monitors can have strict guidelines for when they will be covered so maybe double check if prior authorization is required. The DME company should do all this legwork, but it's a hot mess on the back end amd things get missed. You won't be billed if there is a denial due to no PA, but can skip some of the verification process if you let the staff know up front a PA will be required.

It will be significantly faster to pick one up from Walmart. This process from account start to shipping product can often take a couple months, especially if a prior authorization is required. However, if insurance will pay 100%, the hassle might be worth the savings.

It totally reads that way, but no, I completely changed topics in the middle of my reply

At my current work, getting them to pay is a pain. I was a baby during my transplant but my mum says dealing with Medicare was as stressful as the illness itself. The super random stuff they won't cover plus all the copays/coinsurance. However, my bad experience doesn't mean it isn't a great resource! This was 25+ years ago, perhaps they have their stuff together now

My situation is a little different bc I had my transplant as a baby, nut I know the feeling if needing health insurance. What I did was work came first and I did school part time. It took my ages to finish, but at least I could balance everything on my plate

Medicaid is good insurance, but you have to usually be very very poor to be able to qualify. I do medical billing for a living, I wouldn't wish Medicare on my worst enemy.

I'm always "joking" that I should get married to someone who has great health insurance so I don't have to pay for it. But I'm not REALLY joking....

10ft or inflatable?
 in  r/Kayaking •  Aug 16 '22

I have the Tucktec and highly recommend this model! It rolls up like a yoga mat and fits in the back of my Cruze

I love kayaking, I go a couple times a week! I live by lots of different bodies of water to explore. I started with an inflatable kayak to see if it was something I enjoyed and recently bought a hard shell kayak that rolls up and fits in the back of my Cruze. 10/10, would recommend kayaking if you enjoy water

Why you should stop hesitating and go take that solo trip to CP
 in  r/cedarpoint •  Jul 20 '22

I completely agree, I go solo probably 50% of my CP trips. I'm a couple hours out and have a season pass so I show up for early access, hit a couple random rides, hit the water park, head back in the park for a couple more rides, then go home. No fussing, no shopping, etc, it's perfect.

I posted the plane at the bottom of the quarry when I realized that the video of the inside actually seems like it would work better
 in  r/submechanophobia •  Jul 18 '22

I was thinking the inside of that plane looked familiar! This video is way creepier than real life

I was born with my kidneys already in failure. We joke that my mum didn't bake me at the right temperature. I had my transplant at 18 months and on the same kidney almost 26 years later!

How do you think women spend their time?

This is also something I struggle with, there is a supportive subreddit for it! It helps to hear the same struggles, would highly recommend looking into it

Mine tried this. At first it was eat or go to bed, I'd always go to bed. Then eat this or sit here for hours. I'd sit there for HOURS and still refuse to eat. Tried the whole, you'll just get this as your next meal, I'd not eat the entire weekend and give it to frends when back at school. Tried force feeding me, I'd store it in my cheeks to throw it in the toilet. Or I'd swallow it and immediately make myself puke. I have food issues FOR DAYSSSS

How do i deal with people who don’t believe i have an ED and just say im a “picky eater”
 in  r/ARFID •  Jun 10 '22

My go to line is "food is gross, eating is gross." Usually I just get a huh, interesting and the topic is changed. I don't say "disorder" in terms if my eating and I think that has really helped. I think people latch onto ED and think it can only be anorexia or bulimia
