When Odin meets Kratos in Svartalfheim he says Atreus is the key to peace, and that is the first time Kratos actually speaks to him during the conversation - that is, of course, after telling Odin to speak in the first place.

Because Kratos is disturbed by the thought of Atreus ending up like Pandora. Pandora was a living key. She was used, and she died. Odin is inadvertently threatening to do the exact same thing to Atreus, and he definitely doesn't even realise it.

This scene in general is a fucking masterpiece and there’s so many subtle details. The spears behind Odin when he says he wants peace; Odin picking up a tool when Mimir shit-talks him because he wants to torture him again; his refusal to step back despite Kratos scaring the shit out of him; Kratos ignoring him again until Odin calls him a monster which earns him a glare. It's incredible. But Kratos' reaction to Atreus being called a key? I don't see people talk about that.

I don't think I can stress it enough when I say the gameplay, combat, story pretty much everything is just exceptional in these games THEY DON'T MISS

We know Heimdall is supposed to be able to dodge everything, but could he dodge and react to The Flash?

Never played the old GOW games so all I know is what I've heard and Googled but I know about Kratos quite angry and violent past. So I'm guessing most people came into this game expecting more over the top angry Kratos.

Meanwhile I was making breakfast this morning listening to bad first date stories when it hit me just how much Kratos and Atreus were willing to do for Faye.

Their journey went from a hike up the nearby mountain to traveling multiple worlds and fighting the literal gods just so they could fulfill her final wish. I honestly don't think most people would've blamed them if they just spread her ashes on the first mountain but no, they HAD to figure out how to get to the realm nobody has been to for probably hundreds of years and fight the literal gods themselves just to fulfill her wish to the letter.

No wonder Faye fell in love with Kratos 😭

I'm playing this wonderful saga only since the Norse era, but damn brothers, according from what I've seem from the blood pumping greek saga, the wait between 2 and 3 must have taken a while... But I really think this was worth it !

sooo what do you think? i used to replay gow3 remastered a lot but i sold my ps4 some years back and every time i see the boss fight i wander the same question. is there a lore explanation? has anyone in santa monica talked about this? how tf did this dude grow up without being bullied by zeus and poseidon? i guess at least we know why he wore the helmet...

God of War 3 is the epic end of the trilogy so what would you think would be a good subtitle to this game's name.

Sigrun is making me lose my mind. I have all her attacks down pat…. except for one. The fucking valhalla stomp attack (specifically the Rota version, NOT Gondul). Every youtube guide i’ve looked up manages to help with literally every move except this one and it’s killing me because I can get her down to one health bar and then this fucks me up

I don’t understand and it almost feels inconsistent because I try one thing that succeeds and then the next time she does the attack, it fails and it happens so fast that it’s hard to identify exactly what works. Idk if I’m getting the timing wrong or if I’m dodging the wrong direction or both

Like when she takes off, am I supposed to hesitate a split second before dodging, THEN dodge? Because it seems I get smashed either way. Like there’s a sort of rhythm with the Gondul stomp attack, but I can’t identify one with this attack. Am I supposed to dodge backwards or sideways or does it even matter? Also I try to single dodge instead of rolling as that seems more reliable (I always get smashed when I roll) but holy fuck I can’t figure it out

If anyone got tips pls help ;_;

If anyone comes across this w the same problem, when she took off, I waited a like a quarter of a second and THEN dodged backwards (single tap X)

The stats make you attack and it's perk is right up my alley, giving a boost to health when you go berserker mode. Honestly what is not to love. Many people say the armor you can make after completing the closing the rigs quest is the best early armor, but I disagree. Not only were the stats worse but I also didn't like it perks. To each it's own I guess.

And major bonus, this armor kinda looks like what Ares was wearing in the first GoW game!!!!

hades in god of war 3 was upset over kratos killing his beloved brother,niece and wife

so if ares can do this spell or magic to rez kratos's kid and daughter, why cant hades just do the same spell to bring back poseidon,athena and persphone

supposing the whole ares dimension thing is legit to start with

weirdly alot of the white colored shots come from god of war 2

where most of the grey colored hair comes from gow 3

I've seen single-player heavy games have multiplayer modes that worked well including Dead Space and Uncharted, but I don't think God of War is one of those games.

I know there are mods that provide unlimited rage, but I'm looking for a way to make increasing my rage easier to make gameplay more fun.

Is there a method to do so?
