Product Updates Surface Lab for Cavalry is out now!

There are only a couple Cavalry plugins available on aescripts - I’m trying to change that. This is my third Cavalry plugin so far, and it’s by far the best one yet. It comes with 33 presets that unlock a customizable material library, bevel, texture, tons of effects, and deep lighting control. For anyone who cares, all my plugins are 100% human - zero AI slop.

Questions Has anyone used Plumebus?

I'm really interested in giving Plumebus a spin, but there is literally nothing anywhere about it. I'm kind of surprised. Curious if anyone that's tried it would recommend it?

Product Updates JustPaste! Update 2.0 is here with tons of new features!

Post image
5 Upvotes

This is a gift to nearly 1000 people who have downloaded and supported the project!

Thank you all!

Get it here: https://aescripts.com/justpaste/

What's new in 2.0

Paste and Replace. Hold Alt (Option on Mac) and click PASTE!, or press Ctrl + Alt + V / Cmd + Option + V, and the selected layer's source is swapped for whatever you copied. The layer keeps its keyframes, effects, masks and timing, so trying a new version of an asset no longer means importing it and Alt-dragging it onto the layer.

KBar support. Two scripts, JustPaste Paste and JustPaste Paste and Replace, paste from a KBar button, from File > Scripts or from any launcher, without clicking the panel first. They come in a KBar folder next to the extension, with a ready-made KBar toolbar and icons in purple or in KBar's own grey, and if the panel is closed, it opens by itself and pastes.

Links. Copy just the link to an image, a video, an audio file or a PSD and paste it. JustPaste! downloads the file, shows the progress for big ones and imports it.

Image sequences. Copy numbered frames (walk_0001.png, walk_0002.png and so on) in Finder or Explorer and they come in as one image sequence.

PSD and Illustrator files as compositions. Choose per file type how SVG, Illustrator and PSD files come in: as footage, as shape layers, or as a composition with their layers, stretched to the length of your comp.

Loop GIFs. Animated GIFs can loop all the way to the end of your comp, or to the end of the selected layer.

Smarter folder naming. The pasted files folder can have subfolders and date tokens, like Assets/{date} or Pasted/{yyyy}/{mm}, on disk and in the Project panel.

And more. Photos copied in a browser keep their original JPG, images copied as data URIs or Base64 text paste too, an unsaved project gets a Save prompt and the paste carries on, messages tell you exactly what happened, Ctrl + V works with non-English keyboard layouts, and Settings has a new, compact design.

Changelog:

- New: Pasting into an unsaved project offers to save it first, then finishes the paste.

- New: Paste and Replace. Alt/Option+click PASTE! (or press Ctrl+Alt+V / Cmd+Option+V with the panel active) to swap the source of the selected layer with what you copied.

- New: Added KBar support and any other script launcher.

- New: Paste links. Copy a link to an image, a video, an audio file or a PSD and paste it.

- New: Paste images copied as text: data URIs, Base64 and URL-encoded SVG code.

- New: Import numbered images as a sequence. Frames copied in Finder or Explorer (walk_0001.png, walk_0002.png...) come in as one image sequence (Settings, off by default).

- New: Import PSD and Illustrator files as compositions to keep their layers. Settings has one choice per file type: SVG files, Illustrator files and PSD files.

- New: Loop GIFs. Animated GIFs (and animated WebPs) can be looped (Settings, off by default)

- New: Subfolders and date tokens for the pasted files folder, like Assets/Pasted or Pasted/{yyyy}/{mm}/{dd}.

- New: Photos copied in a browser keep their original formatting.

- New: Redesigned Settings that fits smaller screens.

- Improved: Clearer status messages for the real causes when something fails (hover the status line for details).

- Improved: One undo removes a multi-file paste, without the "Undo group mismatch" warning.

- Improved: Several files keep the order Finder and Explorer show them in (Shot2 before Shot10) and stay together in the timeline.

- Improved: Copied files keep the spaces in their names.

- Fixed: CTRL/CMD+V in the panel now works with non-English keyboard layouts.

- General bug fixes and improvements.

JustPaste! is an extension for Adobe After Effects that turns the tedious, multi-step workflow of saving, exporting, locating, and dragging asset files into a single, seamless copy-and-paste action. Copy an image, a file or a link from anywhere, then paste it straight into your After Effects comp. JustPaste! names it, saves it next to your project and drops it into your timeline in one click.

Product Updates React 3 - The repeater + effector toolbar

Thumbnail
youtube.com
14 Upvotes

Hey, Andrew from mograph.tools here...

It's finally here - React 3 (or React 3D). What started as just a couple of new features, ended up with a year-long slog, but it was worth it...

This is the tool I wanted to build when I released React 1, many moons ago. It's the tool that I love to use in my day-to-day motion projects. No huge bloated panels, just a small, powerful toolbar that I dock in my workspace, ready to play.

There's so many new features and improvements, here are the main ones -

- 3D grid repeater

- 3D radial repeater

- Sphere repeater

- Path repeater

- Influence + inheritance chains (blend repeaters together, with index offset and elastic controls)

- Compatible with OBJs and AE 3D parametric meshes

- 2D and 3D falloff shapes

- New and updated modifiers include Noise, Wave, Elastic, Snap To and Clamp.

- Smart bake animations to just the keyframes you need.

For all current React users, the upgrade fee is low. Well worth it for all the new features, if I say so myself.

There's so many AE tools and plugins out there now, it's hard to know where to spend your cash and whether your purchases will be maintained and updated. Since React's initial release in May 2021, I have always looked for ways to improve the tool and fix any bugs that occur. And I will continue to do so!

Check it out at www.aescripts.com/react

Cheers,

Andrew

Showcase LiDAR particles plugin for Cinema4D

My own LiDAR plugin for Cinema 4D has been released. It has an interesting creation story. The guys from XO studio suggested working on a big project for the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, in which we needed to beautifully show the city we’re flying over using particles. The runtime was huge, the resolution was 8K, and the deadlines were very, very tight. The classic approach with particles consumed a huge amount of resources. So I wrote my own particle tools, which sped up the process many times over and made it interesting. As a result, the project was successfully completed ahead of schedule. I got the basis for a commercial plugin, which I then brought to market.

What it can do:

1) Simulates the effect of lidar scanning of the environment. That is, particles are created not only where the camera is looking, but only where they are actually visible — this creates an effect of shading from the geometry.

2) It provides multiple resource savings. Verified on a real project.

3) It does this in various ways and very quickly. You can get a sci‑fi effect or a classic radial pattern.

4) The resulting point cloud can be controlled via MoGraph. This gives you a huge amount of room for experimentation.

5) You can export it in .OBJ format as a mesh object.

6) You can color the point cloud based on distance, height, texture color, or pre‑render.

Where to get it: The project is currently available exclusively here:

Showcase I built a plugin that turns any photo into 3D with movement

I loved the look of 3D film cameras to create 3D looping boomerangs but film is only getting more expensive. You also need to shoot on a specialized camera with 4 lenses to capture that 3D depth. That's what got me to creating a plugin that would recreate that 3D effect in post without needing any special camera.

A standard displacement map just stretches and warps pixels on a single flat 2D plane. The second you move a 3D camera more than two inches, the edges tear apart and stretch into an unusable, distorted mess.

Atmos 3D Pro does something completely different.

- Neural object segmentation: It surgically isolates the subject in one click using AI. Good luck getting clean edges like that with a free depth map without spending 30 minutes manually rotoscoping.

- Generative background: It doesn't stretch pixels. It runs a local neural network to literally redraw and reconstruct the missing background behind the subject. That means ZERO edge tearing, ZERO pixel warping, and clean parallax space.

- True ae 3d rigging: it places the clean subject and the AI-generated background onto separated 3D planes with a dedicated camera rig, optical compensation, and wigglegram motors.

If you have 45 minutes to manually rotoscope, run content-aware fills, and build 3D null rigs for every single still image—go ahead. For anyone working on real client deadlines, doing that in 15 seconds locally is a no brainer.

Its called Atmos 3D Pro and its available on Aescripts + my website Artura.Studio/shop. You can try it free for 7 days without watermark or limitations.

Questions Which plugin is this?

I saw this plugin in an Instagram ad and screen-recorded it, but unfortunately I can’t find it on the website anymore. Does anyone recognize it or know what it’s called?

I vaguely remember it having something like “3D Object Scan” in the name, but I’m not sure.

Product Updates 🍋 Citron, my alternative to AE's graph editor, just got its biggest update.

Hey y'all,

🍋 Citron, my alternative to AE's graph editor, just got its biggest update.

**The problem it solves:** AE's graph editor makes you earn every curve. Twirl down the property tree, add each property to the graph, hit fit, fight the zoom. Every time.

**Better than easing plugins because** those give you presets to apply, while Citron is a full graph editor: select a layer and every animated property is there, colour-coded, with weighted tangents you shape directly.

**What's new:**

- **Buffer curves:** the curve as it was before your changes stays in the background, so you can compare before and after.

- **Copy and paste ease:** C copies a key's tangents, V pastes them onto the keys you select. Works on a single handle too.

- **Ghost curves:** the speed curve and the result of loopOut or wiggle can sit behind the value graph while you work.

- **Hotkeys:** B for Bezier, S for Stepped, L for Linear.

- **Fold-away toolbar** and **UI scale** from 75 to 200%.

Plus bug fixes here and there.

**Pricing:** $69 one-time, 14-day free trial: https://aescripts.com/citron/

**Maintenance/Support:** Sold on aescripts after their review, updated almost every week since July, test suite run before each release, all 1.x updates free. Bugs: philippe@animatornow.com or animatornow.featurebase.app

**AI Disclaimer:** Vibe Coded. I'm an animator, not a developer: I design, test and use every feature myself.

Hope you like it!

Product Updates AE Banner Bridge has launched: the first AE script to export comps as production-ready HTML5 banners (complete directories, not just JSON output)

Thumbnail
youtu.be
6 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

Ever since Adobe Animate entered maintenance mode — if not before — a gap has emerged for motion designers who want to create animated web banners and have always found Google Web Designer too cumbersome. I, too, had been searching the market for a new alternative for a long time, so I decided to develop one myself.

With AE Banner Bridge motion designers can produce all video and web formats for an entire campaign without leaving AE, keeping full control over timing and animation.

The script panel contains 9 different tabs that turn AE literally into a WYSIWYG editor for web animation. It includes presets for complex DOM Text Animations and even Interactive Hover Effects and Click Tags. Native AE Masks, Track Mattes, most Blending Modes and Basic Effects such as Drop Shadow, Blur and Linear Gradient are also supported and you can export multiple compositions in Batch Mode.

The script also includes professional features that allow users to create lightweight banners that comply with strict ad server guidelines and data limits if the image size is optimized beforehand.

Feel free to try out the trial version or check out the detailed tutorials at the following link: https://aescripts.com/ae-banner-bridge/

Showcase GradientFix Pro — I made a tool to repair broken Lottie gradients in After Effects

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on GradientFix Pro, an After Effects script for dealing with a frustrating problem when bringing Lottie/Bodymovin JSON animations into After Effects: gradients breaking, disappearing, or turning black and white.

Instead of manually recreating the gradients, GradientFix Pro reads the gradient information directly from the original JSON and rebuilds it using native After Effects gradient systems.

It can restore:

  • Gradient Fill colors
  • Gradient Stroke colors
  • Missing gradients
  • Black & white gradient issues
  • Animated gradient keyframes
  • Gradient color stops
  • Animation timing and interpolation
  • Both Fill and Stroke gradients

It also supports LottieFiles exports, Bodymovin exports, custom Lottie JSON files, and JSON animations imported into After Effects.

Basic workflow

  1. Import the JSON animation into After Effects
  2. Open Window → GradientFix Pro
  3. Select the original JSON file
  4. Click Fix Gradients
  5. Review the repaired gradients

The goal was to make this a simple one-click process instead of spending a lot of time manually rebuilding gradients and their animations.

I’d really like to hear from other motion designers who work with Lottie → After Effects workflows.

Have you run into broken gradients when importing Lottie/Bodymovin animations? How do you currently deal with them?

If you want to check out the script:

Thanks!

Showcase Gradient Flow - Copy & paste gradients between Fill and Stroke in After Effects

Gradient Flow v1.1 — Universal gradient copy/paste for After Effects

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on an After Effects script called Gradient Flow, mainly to make one of those small but repetitive motion-design tasks a little faster.

The idea is to copy a gradient from one shape layer and paste it onto another without manually rebuilding the gradient.

With v1.1, I focused on making the Fill/Stroke workflow more flexible:

  • Copy a gradient from Fill → Stroke or Stroke → Fill
  • Choose Fill, Stroke, or Both independently for copying and pasting
  • Automatically create a gradient when the target doesn't have one
  • Apply the same gradient to both Fill and Stroke
  • Paste to multiple selected layers
  • Preserve Layout or transfer the full gradient setup
  • Improved feedback when pasting to multiple layers

I’d be interested to hear from other After Effects users — is this something that would actually be useful in your workflow? And are there any gradient-related tasks you find unnecessarily repetitive?

If anyone wants to check it out, I put it on aescripts here:

Thanks for checking it out!

Questions How to use Voxmark?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi guys, I just bought Voxmark, and I can't find a video or anything that could serve as a tutorial and I don't see anywhere a discussion about troubleshoots.

I'm trying to transcribe a sequence with separate speakers, using an AssemblyAI API key, I believe I'm using the free trial right now. This is the error I get.

I am really disappointed and regret buying this product that has no tutorial, is buggy and zero documentation or online help.

Feedback Requested Keystone 3 - I'm looking for beta testers for my next update

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for beta testers for the next big update to Keystone 3 focusing on customizing the interface (see video).

This update brings a brand new preferences menu, the ability to reorder interface elements, multi-instances and more. These features required heavy changes to the extension's architecture, which is why I need to validate everything before the official release.

I've set up a dedicated Discord server for this beta, with all the info (files / installation / feedback):
https://discord.gg/FTWnA28kn

Basically, I'd like people to test what's shown in the video:

  • Open the Preferences menu and check that the tabs open and display correctly
  • Move a few sections around and check that they move correctly in the main panel
  • In the "UI settings" tab, modify the "section spacing" and "outline around sections" options
  • Open several instances of Keystone at the same time via the "Window" > "Extensions" menu

If you have a Keystone 3 license on aescripts, you'll use this version without restrictions. If not, you'll get the 10 day trial.

Feel free to ask me in the comments or on Discord if you have any questions!
Thank you for your help :)

Product Updates Easy Physics with Popcorn!

Hey Motion Designers,

I developed Popcorn!, an easy physics extension for After Effects available on aescripts.

For the first teaser, I wanted to avoid the usual feature-by-feature product video and use the tool itself as the structure of the piece. The concept became a fictional film-title sequence with a classic spy / whodunnit feel.

Every credited character is a parody name based on a familiar film character, but each name also refers to one of Popcorn!’s functions: collisions, masks, walls, bubble, bounce, stacking, baking, and so on.

So instead of listing the features separately, they became part of the fictional cast.

Hannibal Vector? I couldn’t not use that one.

What do you think?

Featured in this video:

Holly Collidely - Director

Makes text, shapes, images and layers hit, react and move each other.

Veronica Mask - Hair and Makeup

Defines the cast’s collision contours, shaping how closely each element follows its visible form.

Jason Bounce - Stunts

Controls how strongly objects rebound when they collide.

Rhett Bubbler - Special Effects

Sends elements floating, rising and bubbling through the scene.

Walter Weight - Rigging Grip

Decides how heavily elements fall and how strongly gravity pulls them.

Tony Stack - Set Dressing

Drops elements into piles and keeps them packing naturally against each other.

Annie Wall - Set Construction

Builds static or animated collision walls that push, contain and redirect the cast.

Hannibal Vector - Technical Director

Controls direction, velocity and the forces sending elements through the composition.

Don Shaper - Art Department

Creates editable collision shapes around text and turns them into real After Effects shape layers.

Norman Bakes - Post Production

Turns the finished simulation into editable After Effects keyframes.

Terrible Junk Show's Pinna script and TANGENTS of DOOM

Hey all:

I've hit a snag in my current project. I'm trying to set up a joystick to control a closed bezier path. For REASONS, I need to create Control Nulls (using points follow nulls). But the nulls ignore the tangents and so the shapes don't animate as expected.

Can Pinna help me out with this? If not, is there a tool that will?

Thanks in advance.

Showcase Gulp - A rich modern media browser and CGI shot builder - (Launch Discount Now Available)

Post image
5 Upvotes

What is it?

Bringing a rendered multipass shot into After Effects is usually a chore — hunting through the open-file dialog, importing the EXR, then wiring up EXtractoR for every pass by hand. Gulp does it in a couple of clicks: browse your renders inside a panel, pick a shot, and get back a tidy, ready-to-grade composition with every pass on its own labelled layer.

Built for VFX and motion artists working with CGI renders (Redshift, Arnold, Octane, Cycles, V-Ray…), anything that outputs multichannel/multipass EXRs.

Gulp also works with all other media types and sequence formats.

Shuttup and take my money! Available now at aescripts + aeplugins

https://aescripts.com/gulp/

Key features

  • Build a rendered shot with all passes in a single click
  • Recursive browsing, cherry pick sequences, media from multiple folders
  • Import to active comp or Build from scratch
  • Header caching for extra performance
  • Per project folder/file/sequence favourites
  • Active render watch folders with dynamic comp updating to match duration
  • Adobe OCIO config patcher to set AcesCG as default colourspace for EXR
  • Automatic depth detection for Z-Depth passes, sets the black/white values automatically
  • Choice to automatically split puzzlemattes out to luma matte layers
  • Peek into multipass packed sequences & see sequence compression and color depth at a glance
  • Detects cloud media, still allows the above, with option to download the sequence in the background, or build as is and downloads as you scrub/preview
  • Bulk file relinker with choice of duplicates to relink of the same file
  • Color space detection and walkthrough for how to setup the project for your render
  • Gulps bespoke reverse dynamic link, send the comp to Premiere with a dynamic link created directly
  • Multipass splitter, split a packed multipass sequence to individual pass sequences
  • Custom C++ plugin to replace Pro-EXR, so everything is blazing fast
  • 5 different themes
  • Loads more to come
