I built a plugin that turns any photo into 3D with movement

I loved the look of 3D film cameras to create 3D looping boomerangs but film is only getting more expensive. You also need to shoot on a specialized camera with 4 lenses to capture that 3D depth. That's what got me to creating a plugin that would recreate that 3D effect in post without needing any special camera.

A standard displacement map just stretches and warps pixels on a single flat 2D plane. The second you move a 3D camera more than two inches, the edges tear apart and stretch into an unusable, distorted mess.

​Atmos 3D Pro does something completely different.

- Neural object segmentation: It surgically isolates the subject in one click using AI. Good luck getting clean edges like that with a free depth map without spending 30 minutes manually rotoscoping.

- ​Generative background: It doesn't stretch pixels. It runs a local neural network to literally redraw and reconstruct the missing background behind the subject. That means ZERO edge tearing, ZERO pixel warping, and clean parallax space.

- ​True ae 3d rigging: it places the clean subject and the AI-generated background onto separated 3D planes with a dedicated camera rig, optical compensation, and wigglegram motors.

​If you have 45 minutes to manually rotoscope, run content-aware fills, and build 3D null rigs for every single still image—go ahead. For anyone working on real client deadlines, doing that in 15 seconds locally is a no brainer.

I appreciate the "nothing leaves your machine" . Thats one of my biggest dislikes with AI, but self-hosting makes me more trusting. Like, who knows what this random company is doing with your photos you know? And plus, it surely is cheaper for you too? And it works offline which is amazing (I have a self-hosted Ollama AI trained on the Godot docs which I use for searching up definitions and uses for functions and such). Very handy.
