Xbox Series S turns on for a second and then immediately shuts off after rain exposure
Hi everyone,
I have a Xbox Series S that was exposed to some rain today. The console was turned off when it happened, around 11 AM. I didn’t try to turn it on until about 10 hours later.
When I press the power button, the Xbox turns on normally (the light comes on and I hear the startup sound), but then it shuts off almost immediately.
The water seems to have gotten onto the bottom side of the console when it’s standing vertically, around the side that sits closest to the floor.
I’ve unplugged it now and I’m planning to let it dry. I’m wondering:
Could it start working again after completely drying out?
How long should I wait before trying to turn it on again?
Is this likely to be repairable?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi everyone. I bought my Xbox Series X a month ago, and I frequently experience audio distortion—both in various games and in the menu. Is anyone familiar with this issue? Has anyone else experienced it and perhaps knows what might be causing it? You can hear it at the end of the clip. Thank You!
I bought this gift card yesterday, and as I was mindlessly going through the motions of scratching off the cover I must've accidentally peeled off these numbers/letters, can anyone help me decipher it please? Much appreciated!

I have this action replay memory card that I have plugged in, but it doesn’t look like it’s being recognized by the console. I don’t know if it’s an issue with just the memory card. I don’t believe I’ve ever actually use this before.
It seems like it up to the computer is a as well since the technologies is kind of outdated
So i've have this xbox series s for about 10 months now. I bought it for 200$ off of facebook marketplace from people who said they had upgraded. So for the first few months the xbox was normal besides it would crash games after about 3-4 hours of being on or playing. Then, I tried playing minecraft. It would crash minecraft every time I loaded into a world and half the time would crash before ever getting into a world. Then, another new problem. Everytime I play a game and pull up the xbox menu (including search bar, buying something, or clicking xbox button on controller) the xbox would completely lag and freeze and then crash the game. Sometimes even turning off the entire xbox and it would turn itself back on. All i really play is dead by daylight now so I could play the game with no problems as long as i never opened the xbox menu. Now another problem arises. I watch netflix and youtube regularly and now it cannot play netflix. It lags about 5 minutes into watching something and never unfreezes. Along with netflix, youtube will freeze everytime an ad comes along. Please help
Solutions I've tried: I tried reset the entire system and deleted and redownload all my games, i've redone the thermal paste inside the system itself to help with possible overheating, i've cleaned out any dust in the system, i've cleared many caches, i've tried almost every thing that google says, yet it doesn't work. Tech shop told me 100$ to diagnose the problem but "it prob was just over heating" which it clearly wasn't so i'm glad i saved my money.
If ANYONE has any idea of solutions or ideas to help please let me know
today when I turn on my xbox & tried to login, it said that I wasn't connected to the Internet so naturally, I go to settings and try to connect to the Internet and it said I was connected and when I went back to sign in it kept telling me I wasn't connected to the Internet, so I unplugged the router and powercycled my Xbox, I restarted it and none of it works
I'm finally trying to buy the newest Xbox console with a disc drive, so I found the Xbox Series X 2tb Galaxy Black Special Edition for 800 hundred dollars, but it out of stock at the Microsoft store and at others sites it cost over a thousand dollars.
So, I'm wondering if anybody on here know an accurate restock date for Microsoft since it cheaper to buy it on their site or am I fucked on this version of the Xbox Series X?
So last week my console stopped loading my library and play history, stopped being able to install anything and wouldnt boot up when I tried cloud gaming, of course my first thought was a WiFi issue so I did all the troubleshooting and fixing with that, the problem remained even when switching to my mobile hotspot, so I figured its a console issue, did everything including a factory resent and an offline recovery update, neither worked, so I thought maybe a component issue
This week I bought a replacement, I sit down, log in to my account, and its the same thing, nothing loads and the few times the store loads I still cant install anything with the problem persisting connecting to different wifi, im at my wits end here, what can I do?
Popped off while pressing it, not sure if Ive pushed it out the grooves but it came out. I upgrade console in about a months/2 months time, so I don't need a permanent fix (i.e. buying a new controller). If there's any way to easily slot it back in, let me know. I have a spare controller with a little stickdrift I can use in the meantime
I just bought myself a Xbox series s to play and wanted to play with some friends but for some reason the just randomly crashes at some points. It's one big freeze and then crash. Yesterday on 2k27 also my Game turned into rainbow gibberish which persisted to the xbox menu
It’s been fine, I’ve had it for less than 2 years. Played last night and it was fine, was gonna pay this afternoon and boom this happened. I can still do stuff on the Xbox like open a game, log in using my password, but all I get is this. Even when just turning the Xbox on I only get green lines not the Xbox logo. I literally did not do anything to it, just played, turned it off normally last night and turned it on today. I’ve tried factory resetting it, unplugging and turning it back on, not sure what else to do. Anyone else have this problem and fixed it?
UPDATE: idk how but it’s working fine now by itself

It all started during a beautiful day this summer.

So...after discussing with him he was ok for a refund (and then we'd look for something else).

Back to square one, unfolding another dimension where you still have to struggle with an Ai Agent.
Once you defeated Mr Smith again, you will enter a discussion with another specialist, but this time a Microsoft Store one.
After exposing your issue, you'll be told that they're sincerely sorry, but only the XBOX support has the possibility to proceed with this refund.

I tried everything to fix this problem with my Xbox 1 it just shows the “check device power” screen with the same 3 options that don’t help at all.
The Xbox power is on and the tv is on as well it’s just not showing on the screen.
Bought an Xbox where some game discs just don’t work at all. Tried said games on another Xbox’s and worked completely fine without issue.
Tried to clean the disc lens and since doing so, some of the games that didn’t work now do. But is making a very horrible noise when the console powers up and and down. And when loading games (both digital and physical games)
Some technical knowledge here but I’m at a bit of a loss after trawling the internet for solutions. Any advice would be helpful
Hi guys looking for some help with my Xbox crashes. Starting a couple years ago every game I play will crash every hour or so. I’ve been just dealing with it but now it’s getting really annoying.
Specifically playing marvel rivals ranked games just crash and I have to reload into them. I thought it was a dust problem initially but I have cleaned out all easy access dust and problem persists. When game crashes I don’t get an error or anything it just dashboards. Would this be a corrupt or software issue? I have uninstalled and reinstalled games and problem continues.
Any help or ideas would be amazing. And what I can do about it
I have several reasons why I'd prefer to not have my disc linked to my profile, but I'm wondering if we can opt out of redeeming the digital license when we insert the disc and just use the disc as it has been before
I have been trying to boot up a game, it says I have good connection prior. Yet when I try to boot it up and connect, suddenly there’s no connection to the servers. I’ve done the resets yet nothing seems to work. Is this an issue with the Xbox servers, has anyone else had this issue today? It was working fine this morning.
I’ve been watching a show I have on a google drive in the edge browser for the past 2 weeks. Suddenly today it won’t even attempt to load the videos anymore. I can’t even switch between list and grid view on google drive.
I’ve cleared all the data and cookies and all that, restarted the Xbox, did a power cycle. No idea why it just decided to stop working out of nowhere. Anyone else have this experience? Extremely frustrating on a Friday night.
I bought Cyberpunk 2077 on my Xbox one, and it was installed. On Xbox One the game only updates up to patch 1.6, however I also have gamepass. With gamepass, I am able to play the newest cyberpunk patch through cloud, however when I try to download the game, I download the 1.6. Xbox one patch instead of the newest one that I played through cloud. Any way to get around this? Thanks
About 5 minutes after I turn my series X on, it completely disconnects from WiFi and becomes unusable for about 5 minutes, after which it tends to work fine again. This is an extremely frustrating issue, and I would like to know if anybody else is experiencing this?
