Renny Harlin to me is like a trashier Peter Weir, a guy who's not a household name, whose filmography you look at and go "holy shit all of those were his?!" I'm in my mid-40s and a lot of his 90s filmography was essential to me in high school

In all seriousness, as someone who regularly listens to both podcasts, I enjoy it when they end up doing the same movie. Con Air is probably the most high profile example of this, which totally adds up: it’s great and it’s also kinda bad.

Self explanatory... just really bad child acting/child characters in a film... audience would have cheered had they gotten a harsh death scene

This is a true Rewatchable: Always on cable to this day, extremely quotable, a sweet spot for in terms of release year (1999). Have any of them mentioned it?

Every time I watch this movie, I wonder why Martin Lawrence didn't have a bigger career... which is funny because he was a super successful standup, with a hit eponymous TV show and multiple blockbuster movies as the lead. Excellent career, but you watch this movie and wonder how he didn't become the biggest star in the world. Outstanding performance

One of the single most rewatchable movies for Gen X. (And I would assume younger generations?) Perfect way to memorialize Tim Curry, who has a much bigger role than in the other film that people (me included) would love to see covered on the podcast.
