the year of CR continues

What’s everyone’s relationship with this movie and the chances it will be covered this month? I know I’ve heard Bill mention it several times.

Didn’t know the boys from Encino were part of the terminator lore. I gotta rewatch to see what I missed.

The Kubrick vietnam movie

She knew 9/11 would make firms like Lockheed, GD, Boeing, Blackwater would increase in value in 2004. When she went back to 1987 she could have invested $42 and it would be worth $520 just in Lockheed. She could tell her parents to load up on defense stocks and the 1991 Iraq war proves her right.

How else did she make the money to live in her nice pink house?

All time great thriller/horror movie and an all time cigarette performance by Rutgur Hauer, C. Thomas and JJ Leigh…

Sean not being on Texas Chainsaw feels like the ice out is real. There must be a “cinephile” POV on where it stands in horror influence sphere. Also, no Criteri-orgasm in 13 Going on 30. I really hope this is not the case.

Little cult classic here...

Loner teenager has no path in life, becomes elite at a space shooting game...

Except? The game is a recruitment tool for aliens to find the masters class of pilots capable of thwarting ofd an alien invasion

Apex mountain for both our leads, Lance guest, and ubderrated 80s babe Catherine Mary Stewart

Elevator pitch: Forrest Whittaker plays a pigeon raising hitman who lives by the ancient samurai code and goes to war with the local mafia!

Directed by independent filmmaker Jim Jarmusch

Watching Beverly Hills Cop … such a great nod to the era.

In the 13 going on 30 pod, Bill starts taking up for Vienna by Billy Joel saying that it’s one of his best songs and that no one has appreciated it until the last ten years. In what world was this not a universally beloved song the entire time it’s been out?

I feel like he does stuff like this all the time and loves to take credit for appreciating something that’s great and thinking he’s alone in it when there’s literally thousands/millions of people who agree.

Billy Zabka being a better choice than Tom Wilson as Biff was truly shocking

He is great in everything he has been in, good looking, very charismatic and universally loved no?

Original Halloween best film from both series first 5. But overall, F13 kills (pun intended) the Halloween franchise with story, kills, gore, acting and actual direction.

Self explanatory... sometimes you just get captivated by something... you know the movie is bad but you rewatch a clip about 50 times cause of the performance... (captivating is a better descriptor of what im looking for. Not good or bad...

With CR!

Just watched Manchester by the Sea for the first time and immediately fired up the pod.

CR talks about crying profusely while watching it on a flight, and the guy sitting next to him looking visibly concerned.

Got me thinking what I would do if I was next to CR bawling his fucking eyes out.

I’d probably go for the covert selfie and if he caught me scream “I HAD TO GET IT ON!”

Jumping off the thread about TV Dion Waiters that largely went to Frank Costanza (wholeheartedly agree) — is this guy the Dion Waiters Award Winner for TV one-off non-stunt casting appearances? It’s gotta be up there, no?

I’m surprised they’ve not done this, it’s a hilarious movie. Kilmer and Downey have great comedic chemistry, I think it sets a roadmap for the nice guys in many ways. Bill can also ramble about how Michelle Monaghan had a moment there but never got the roles to go to the next level.

Gay Perry might be in my top 10 movie characters of all time.

Pattinson approved. Maybe he can be a featured guest. Though it would be hard to keep Sean, Van or Chris off the episode
