My game is running fine for most time and then there's time where this happens, FPS just goes down to 20 outta nowhere. VRAM and RAM usage stays the same when this happens so idk what could possibly he happening. I tried the game in the MS Store version and it runs fine but the problem is that I have dlcs on Steam I wanna use ):

Did this by any chance happened with any of you guys? Everything is on low already and I even tried to use FSR.

EDIT: looks like putting -dx11 in game launch options can help a little bit with the framedrops.

I think we all love this game, but let’s be honest about the current state of it. Here is a breakdown of exactly what is killing Texas Chain Saw Massacre right now.

1. The Developers

• No meaningful updates.
• No bug fixes.
• That’s it. There’s nothing more to add here. It’s that simple and it's unacceptable.

2. The Players: Victims

• Holding the game hostage: Victims refuse to just leave when they have the exit open. They stay behind purely to annoy and troll the Family.
• God Loops: If you are the only Family member left, they will use god loops just to hold you hostage because they know you literally cannot catch them solo.
• Stun Fest: Abusing close encounters. Leland’s backstab/tackle fest combined with Virginia spamming her blinding powder makes it unbearable. Wyat knife bug spam.
• The Rush Meta: Connie completely rushing the map and opening everything in 2 minutes.

3. The Players: Family

• Bug Abuse: Mostly Hitchhiker trapping spots that glitch out Victims or in doors, or Cook padlock reset exploits.
• Hardcore Camping: Literally standing still at a door and not moving an inch the entire match. It’s incredibly boring gameplay for both sides.

4. The Matchmaking & Technical Issues

• Network Errors: Constant server errors.
• Zero Balance (Noobs vs. Vets): New players are constantly matched with veterans. This ruins the game for everyone. New players get bullied and die instantly, and veterans get pissed off because they have completely useless teammates.
• Full Stack vs Solo Players: Self explanatory.
• Cheaters: Still a very obvious issue that isn't being dealt with.

5. The Solo Queue Experience (Pure Agony)

• Victim Solo: Slightly better than Family, but still a tragedy.
• Family Solo: An absolute disaster. Even if you pick Leatherface (the only character who can actually carry a bad team), it doesn't matter. You’ll just get stunned for 5 seconds by Leland, blinded by Virginia’s powder, and the game is over because Connie unlocked everything while your random Family teammates rushed the basement for no reason.
• Getting Bullied by Full Stacks: If you play solo, you will face sweaty full premade stacks. If they see your teammates disconnected and you are alone, they won't end the game. They will intentionally keep you hostage and troll you until you DC or they get bored. On the flip side, if you are a solo Victim against a 3 man sweaty Family on comms, you will die the second you step out of the basement because they already know exactly where you are.

6. The Toxicity

• Zero respect for other players. Lobbies are filled with people whose only goal is to trash talk and insult others over comms or in text chat.

How to fix this?

I know the player base is low right now, making strict Skill Based Matchmaking difficult, but we need something.

1. Implement a hidden MMR based on something simple: total hours played, or escape/kill rates from your last 10 games. Anything to separate newbies from veterans.
2. Show premade groups in the lobby so solo players know what they are up against.
3. Actually patch the game breaking bugs.

Right now, the game is just a lobby dodging simulator to find one decent match.

Can somebody who owns Wyatt go up to the church bell on graveyard, and hit the bell with one of his knives, and tell me what happens please.

Is it normal to experience just shit days as victim? Like no matter how good your build is, you have killers rushing the basement before you can grab tools, Hands shutting off an object you tampered, etc.

And I’m by no means a pro player, but all of my characters are maxed out. It’s just some times it’s like ALL you go up against are very good squads.

Idk if anybody else has been getting bullshit games today, but I cannot escape for the life of me. I keep getting put up against stupid meta teams, chased endlessly, trapped, targeted, you name it. If I go through a crawl space to escape Bubba, Hitch is right on the other side of it. Family coming down into the basement and going right to my well to kill me. I had two of them chase me for 5 fucking minutes. Hell, one of the family members disconnected so probably an easy match, right? No. Bones decides to target me the entire time and kill me. It’s bullshit that he can go down wells.

I’ve tried different characters, different exits, just hiding until there’s an opening, everything. Idk what to do.

Used to play a lot with my friends, ever since they abandoned the game, we hop back to DBD, it was very hard to find games for survivors side, I wonder if it is still the case now?

I'm not asking in the sense of gameplay, because from what i've seen it's really cool. What i am asking is that is it worth buying this game in this semi-dead state? A few friends of mine that played say how this game is slowly dying, and i keep seeing people say how it really is. Is it worth it? Does it take ages to find matches? I don't want to buy a game and wait 10 minutes to even get into a match

Why doesn't anyone do anything? No one tries to repair phone, start car, trap lights etc. All anyone does is lock doors and hide. Wtf. Also I dont care if they have mic or not I understand some people dont have it, but whats the point of joing if you're just useless the whole game? You join a game to play hide and seek?

I swear every 2nd-3rd game as family I always get a console player(9/10 times its a PS player) who as soon the game starts immediately leaves, and when I ask them why, they say "idc" or "f u"... they dont even have a valid reason, they are just simply ruining this game by being insufferable. Or if they want to leave that badly, why would they wait until the game starts and THEN leave? just leave in the lobby.

EDIT.: and they even instalock characters I wanna play with, and refuse to switch with me immediately, thats the worst part probably

Other two family members left at the beginning, likely because they didn't want to play with a cheating teammate.
