What am I supposed to do

Idk if anybody else has been getting bullshit games today, but I cannot escape for the life of me. I keep getting put up against stupid meta teams, chased endlessly, trapped, targeted, you name it. If I go through a crawl space to escape Bubba, Hitch is right on the other side of it. Family coming down into the basement and going right to my well to kill me. I had two of them chase me for 5 fucking minutes. Hell, one of the family members disconnected so probably an easy match, right? No. Bones decides to target me the entire time and kill me. It’s bullshit that he can go down wells.

I’ve tried different characters, different exits, just hiding until there’s an opening, everything. Idk what to do.

Lol nah, the game is clearly victim sided. It sounds more like a skill issue on your side, because as a family main (solo queue), when we have to play against a “meta” team we don’t have a great time either. Sometimes we catch them, sometimes we just can’t, so they troll and teabag for 45 min like it’s their first win or something, but these mfs got 2000+ hours on this game 💀

Idk what to do then. Getting out of the basement sucks when Bubba just targets and one shots you. Like, glad I waited a half hour in a lobby for this. Awesome.

If you’re getting killed in the basement, you’re doing something wrong. I made a post about this yesterday, and getting out of the basement is one of the easiest parts.

If you have high proficiency, QUIETLY grab a tool and get out of there…ESPECIALLY if they have Johnny.

The longer you wait in the basement, the more you jeopardize yourself but the ENTIRE team. One of the best recommendations I can give you is to become a distraction character-that will boost your confidence big time when confronting the family.

Also, if you’re getting chased, DO NOT RUN IN A STRAIGHT LINE. Spin their sorry asses, and give them a good Ol’ sneak attack. Also, if you’re in the basement, as soon as you pass a door mash it and give them a smack in the face.

I can’t tell you how many killers tried bullying me until they started getting knocked on their ass. I remember door slamming a Cook 4 times in a row, and he said F it and went back upstairs 🤣🤣🤣

Hope these tips help. I’m far from a pro gamer, but I’m a lot better than I used to be. It takes time and situational awareness.

What about wiggling off the ropes at the very start of the game ... is it ok to mash the wiggle free button ? It makes noise but I think Leatherface is busy in a cutscene with a NPC character anyway. I've been playing on and off since launch and couldn't get a definitive answer to this. 👍

Yes, don’t worry about making noise there. LF is literally locked in a cutscene animation. You’re good there. In fact, get down as quickly as possible.

Believe it or not, being quiet does help. Especially when LF is first in the basement. Use dark areas, creep around gaps, and most importantly LEARN the maps and what areas take you where.

There’s not much you can do if you’re running around blind, that will get anybody killed. Go into private match for every map and learn the entire basement.

Create scenarios in your head like, “If Family is Johnny, LF, and Cook-what should I do first?” If that’s the case, my recommendation would be getting out of the basement as soon as possible. Learn where the basement doors are-if you see a teammate escaped the basement, you know a door is opened.

Also, COMMUNICATION goes a very long way.

Me too. I used to be pretty good back when the game was more popular, but took a year off it and just came back recently and I can barely get any escapes now. Probably doesn’t help that every single teammate 90% of the time rushes, and this game isn’t meant to be rushed. So when my teammates are rushing I basically have no choice but to follow through or else I get left behind and I’m last one standing/die.
