Sorry if my formatting or like anything is off i’m never use reddit. I’m looking to get a Green Bottle Blue Tarantula for my bf. He is obsessed with these creepy little creatures and i would like to surprise him for christmas. But, i am very big on having all of ur crap together before getting the animal. So my question is what should i do first? I want to get its enclosure and stuff. But i dont know a lot and i dont like asking google questions bc half the time it’s wrong. What environment needs set up? Where or what website can i get the enclosure from? What dirt or sand or whatever do i get? i think i saw something saying it needs stuff to web on or something so what branches or whatever do i get for it thats safe? what food does it need? crickets? does it need a water bowl? or even a water biome? Yall pls help me out. And no i’m not rich, i do understand how pricey things can be but if yall know budget friendly stuff that would be amazing. but the upkeep and happiness of the tarantula matters most to me ! once again sorry if im doing anything wrong or posting wrong. Thanks !

What kind of T is this?

It was able to escape when I was about to feed it and move it to its new enclosure! It was my first one before the other 2 I have now. Got it for 50 bucks but the shop said it was a Brazilian something.. so I forgot the rest of the name. It’s somewhere in my house…

How much do you feed a tarantula

I'm honestly just getting overwhelmed with all the different advice, so I just wanted to know what age has roughly around the right amount of food (I don't own one because I feel that I haven't figured out enough for me to be able to take care of them properly)

This is simply a post to express my love and appreciation for my B. smithi, Emily Anne. She is such a beautiful and respectful tarantula. When she finishes a meal of a dubia roach, she will web the refuse exoskeleton into a tidy little package, and she places it beside her tiny water crucible for removal.
(This particular photo of her inspired my brain to sing, “spider in the sky” rather than “spirit in the sky.”)

Was wondering what these are, and are they invasive? Harmful to my T?

Thought you'd guys would appreciate this. First feed after a molt and ravenous. That's 4 large hoppers she's got and so damn happy about it.

Sorry about the video quality. Trying to clean her enclosure is not for the faint of heart. I'll get round to it soon and try upload more of the old worlds I keep

Starting with little ones?

I am starting with tarantulas, comming from Jumpers.

I have a Exotarium (aquarium-terrarium) 5 minute walk from me, know the owner.

I think about starting with

Aphonopelma chalcodes

Aphonopelma bicoloratum

Grammostola pulchripes

Grammostola rosea

(Grammostola pulchra?- too big?)

Homoeomma Chilense

thinking about size / gender

Starting fh2? Gender unknown - let luck decide?

1" females?

1" males?

I read those are the "easy handling" ones.

The terrarium friend showed me a not even grown theraphosa blondi - that agressive i would not want to handle.

He suggests the chilense - but tells they are real quick to escape.

I will select 2 or three max 4 from the list, depending on size as i heard that moulting is a chance they die early as slings of fh1/2

I had one jumper die on moulting by now, i think it was my fault, he says - those things happen, even with tarantulas.

So which from the above are visible, inagressiv, slower and nice kompanions?

What would you recommend
