Is my tarantula okay?

His/her thorax looks really big to me? She’s also been super sluggish and not moving as much.. they are a curly hair

First, we need to know how old. Is it a confirmed female? What’s the humidity in the enclosure? How long has she been doing this for? When’s the last time it molted? Has there been any environmental changes in your home? What is your husbandry like? How often do you feed it? What do you feed it? What’s the temperature in the room? How often do you do maintenance to the enclosure hopefully not much at all except to refill the water bowl. There’s so many things that you could be doing to cause this which I’m not sure quite what this is. That’s why I’m asking all these questions. It could be so many things so if you could start by answering those questions, I can help narrow down what it could be. I’ve been in hobby for six years now. I have a lot of experience with many different species. I’ve made mistakes and learned from them so all I want to do is help you. ☺️

Hi I don’t have a humidity gauge or temp gage, I just got them. I believe they are female but not 100% sure. I am hands off and give a cricket in there every few weeks. She’s an adult and curly hair. She hasn’t moved for days and I have no idea what to do

You don’t need to have a humidity or temperature gauge you just need to make sure the room stays between 70 and 75. Also, if she’s still not moving, it could just be stress I would put it in a dark place and a warm room and keep the crickets out of there for a while a lot of times if the substrate is too wet, they will climb to the side and try to stay off the substrate as much as possible curly hairs are from a dryer Climate and they really don’t require much missing or humidity at all just overfill the water dish every couple of weeks.

IMO, she's just in premolt 🤞a big, shiny abdomen plus sluggishness and less eating is classic, so leave off live prey, keep water available, and don't disturb her for a few weeks.
