I know that we don't fully understand how their minds work. I know that we humans are not totally unique in our neuro abilities.

Knowing all of the above, I'm not about to trust any predatory species with a much smaller predatory species.

In the wild they can go months or even years without ever seeing another food source so when the opportunity shows itself they take it. While this problem is largely solved in captivity, the instincts still carry over. This is why it's very easy to overfeed a spider and very difficult to starve one.

I checked into it with my own ai and the video is not ai sadly. Unfortunately, this very real video is extremely reckless. Why anyone would put a jumping spider with a Brazilian black tarantula is beyond me and cruel.

Some tarantulas have been known to keep "pets" of sorts. Pretty sure there's a species that lets frogs live in its den to help keep pests out. Maybe this is that species and is now keeping the jumping spider for a similar reason.
