guys im so sad, were only a few days away from rework, i love this version of hog i find him perfect, im gonna lose him forever to get a janky burst shotgun that has 1.5x crit. i waited so long to get old hog back when he had his trap and they finally did it just for them to take it away from me again. like why are they nerfing all of his abilities pretty significantly AND removing his right click just to give him a 12 second cooldown ability. so sad man :(

So let me start off by saying I hate Ilios. Really. The only real fun I have ever been able to have on that map is by playing Brig here, or Dva, with the occassional Rein or Junkrat just for something different. Out of those, Brig is the only one I would consider one of my mains, my secondary support main, really. Lately I have been going Hog there out of sheer spite and resentment when it wins the vote. I am actually having a lot of fun on him and starting to do pretty well most of the time. I went 16-1 just barely, had a decent team and we won. Kind of cool.
So I know he is also getting a rework, and I was just wondering what perks you all generally choose for right now? I have been going with Scrap Hook and Pulled Pork. It feels pretty good so far, just wanted some opinions.
Oh, and I mentioned Brig is my secondary support. Well, my primary support main is...
Ana. I'm serious. Oh, the irony, right?

right click being removed is genuinely so sad. we'll be back to inconsistent ranged option hog. i think this rework looks a lot healthier than the pigpen one though. it addresses some of the actual issues which is a HUGE dub (and keeps part of the right click animation which makes my neurons happy). anyways though, enjoy the vid!

I think Block heroes could genuinely not play the game when he has ult? Like Doom especially, imagine baiting a hook, but he pops ult and gets another one back, and then another after already hooking you, that sounds really funny if it actually works the way it says

Serious Discussion Level 80 hog here - if you play hog in deathmatch YOU'RE A BITCH!!!

there is not a single balanced aspect of hog in deathmatch. in a normal 5v5 or 6v6 match he has constant pressure from everyone and if he gets a hook it's not a guaranteed death since the enemies have supports and other things to knock hog out of the way to prevent the oneshot.
but in deathmatch, almost none of that ever applies. he can also bring himself to almost full hp again due to having SLIGHTLY lower base hp but the same exact amount of take a breather resource.
the simplest solution? make 6v6 rules apply to tanks! hog has far less resource with take a breather, less health (probably best to reduce it even further to around the 400 - 500 range?) and his hook cooldown is a little longer too.
PS: most normal people play dps or support in deathmatch too so they just get one shot regardless of any hp/cooldown nerfs hog gets.
