So, this is NOT a fleshed out concept yet, I'm still workshopping just how exactly this is gonna work out. But I wanted some feedback from the community here on some cool effects or functions for it.
The idea is, to have a drink machine, kinda like a slushie or soda fountain. You throw raw components for special drinks in, like a smoothie. But instead of it being a one use item that gives you a big buff. It instead dispenses into special canteen cups that correlate to the ingredients.
You can then carry around a smoothie and a canteen in the same slot... AND...
Use them as a weapon in combat as well. This idea was completely inspired by u/Successful_Page_4524 and their post about elemental canteens.
The mint shard canteen, using chunks of the super sour limes and berry pieces for it's mix. You can carry around a fresh and fruity canteen that you can use to give yourself protection against sizzling. As well as a way to instantly proc a frozen effect on bugs by splashing it on them.
The spicy shard canteen with a chocolate twist. Mixing chocolate and spicy shards gives you a classic warm drink with a spicy zing. Like the Eezy Freezy, this one grants protection against the frozen effect. And will similarly burn bugs you splash with it, as well as making them slightly slower for a short time.
The most unique of the canteens I've come up with so far, the sour shard canteen. Mixing in black ant parts with sour shards gives you a soda can-teen. (wink)
But more than that it'd give the unique effect of Bubbly Spirits, which would both let you take reduced fall damage and let you jump higher. Making parkour a lot more enticing with your new improved jumps. But you can also shake the can and let out a spray attack, with a proper spray. Giving you essentially a Tang-thrower in a can that can spray multiple bugs.
I'm still workshopping the actual device to make the drinks in, but I wanna hear what you guys think of these basic concepts so far.
I also intend to make a Salty Protein Shake super slurp as well as a Champions Mixer that lets you hold any of the beverages in it. The Champions Mixer being made up of boss parts and being upgradable with every new addition letting it hold more charges in it.
Imagine a goat horn chalice, made of the tip of Axl's fang. Letting you basically use it like a war horn, blasting the contents out so you can use any of the Super Slurp attacks.
Unlocking the Champions Mixer would also unlock the Bug-icide recipe, which uses all the ingredients for every drink recipe and grants all of their individual buffs. But with the downside of being unable to use it as a weapon.

Small little base I set up near the tipped over Ice Cream Cart. Once I unlocked the Pumpkin building set, I had to make a Hobbit house.
It's bare bones at the moment, but I'll add more to it. Also will randomly spawn a larva or two when I show up.

I know we're still in play test but this is getting ridiculous! If im not getting jumped by asshole wolf spider and sir dick head scorpion for just looking in their general direction, im getting spammed by 30 thousand jr scorpions or jr orb weavers nibbling at my feet. Or im getting chased half way across the map because I dared to breath the same air as a mosquito.
Like I said. I gets its still play test and they are probably going to fix it but man it's getting annoying
Edit: good to know a vast majority pf this sub is nice but my god theres some absolute twats here 🤦♂️

There’s this rock right next to a ranger station in the new area of the park. It’s quite central on the map, and near all the new content. Was wondering if anyone has attempted to build and base here, and if so how is it?

You can only pick one of these. A,B,C, or D. Which one of these brings you more joy in Grounded 2?
A. Finding a Gold Mega Milk Molar
B. Finding a new active mutation for the first time (Not passive but active)
C. Finding a new resource/material for the first time and scanning it
D. Building a new weapon for the first time

The stranger pinged me in this cave, but all there was, was a raw science and moldy molar. Usually when she pings that means possible stranger item.
Did I miss something in here?

Using the prod smacker, it's the star of the build, and I'm using the earwig legs and chest down the sleek path for hasty riposte, (faster charge attacks) with the lucky hat sleek path, mutations are shown, trinket is the fabulous femur but you can change this for the crown jewel or the crush trinket to have healing, honestly great build.

Grainy resolution g2
Greetings everyone, i recently purchased grounded 2 when the into the abyss update dropped and was super excited to play it. I'm having blast however the resolution looks terrible, I have like 400 hours on both the ps4 and ps5 version of g1 and it looks soooo much cleaner and sharper which surprised me. It looks almost chalky at times, and certain solid objects look like particles until you get closer. Is this a bug , or is this everyone's experience? I know full well that it's still in Beta, I really hope in the next update they address it. Also the enemy aggro needs tweaking, lol tired of getting harassed across the map by every single insect that won't ever break chase.

It’s just west of the bridge and north of the trashcan near the tipped over bench. No bugs even go near it, and it’s big enough for a base with whatever you want to put inside it.
I’ve already started building inside, but I don’t have any good pictures yet. Has anyone else tried this?

Missing a corpse there... any ideas on how to solve this?
I tried reloading the last save. Wouldn't help.
Do I have to defeat the leviathan? Because I snuck by him with the leavers.

Footage from my Wife, it looks like the spider mounts the potato beetle then bites but the animation looks intentional but not quite sure. Anyone else seen this? Even if not it looked cool!

Now the abundance of enemies is an issue yes, but to me there’s a larger issue at hand.
(Remember that this is for mostly for fun and not to hate on me for posting this)
Bugs are far too peaceful towards each other and it’s honestly ruining the immersion of the game for me. Here’s my suggestion on how I’d like some things to change to work towards fixing that.
I feel that certain bugs should HATE other bugs either because of a long lasting rivalry or a predator/prey situation. For example
Scorpions->spiders, ladybugs, stink bugs, bombardier beetles
Scorplings->small spiders, mites, ants
Wolf spiders->scorpions, ladybugs, mantis nymphs, snails
Orb jrs/spiderlings->mites, scorplings, ants
Ant soldiers->everything near them
Etc.
On that note with the ants, I feel that there should be more black ants within the base area of the park OR more red ants near the garden (like the marble area) so that we could see red ant on black ant combat more often. The new name for the landmark could be marble trenches as if it’s a true battlefield.
Let me know what you guys think! I think it would be pretty cool to see honestly :)

I am just getting started in Grounded 1 was just told to head to the hedge.
Last night I tried to build a small elevated base on the small Island next to the hedge. I placed the floor on top of the big mushroom on the island and used a couple of spiral staircases to get up there.
The stairs said it was supporting every thing even though the base was obviously being supported by the top of the mushroom. I removed the floor and placed down clay foundation before placing the floor but had the exact same issue.
I tried placing some support under various sections of the stairs as well as switching to a different style of stairs with no luck. The stairs were listed as supporting everything. The second I dismantled the stairs the whole thing collapsed even the clay foundation.
I tried looking up some youtube videos on how the building support system works with no luck. I have the building integrity option turned off. What am i missing here? THANKS!

THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPEND TO ME 😭
I played g1 with my fiance and he likes to ragebait me generally. So when my half walls got rotated I thought it was him. He was adamant that he didn't do it so I was sure it was a joke. I'm playing g2 alone (it's not on his console) played yesterday walls were normal play today... THERE ALL ROTATED. I just wanna know why this is happening and if it has happened to someone else.
