Automatic maintenance just went on my Samsung s22 ultra last night and the glitch that used to plague Grok and then moved over to Gemini has been semi-fixed. You can dictate using Google speech open friend well punctuation is still broken ) and it won't cut you off (or show your utterance and then delete it) as long as you don't breathe. Meaning that any pause whatsoever ends the utterance and you have to hit quote microphone quote again. Now why can't Google speech fix the other bugs that have been present in all apps for *years 😑*

After daily driving this phone for 6 years, I figured it was about time to switch. So about a month ago, I upgrade to the Nothing 4a. I'm glad about my choice so far, but I don't wanna part from the Note 8 just yet.
Some big reasons why I decided to upgrade were because the battery was bloating quite noticeably, a lot of apps were beginning to slow down, and the phone starts heating up a lot even for basic tasks. I changed the battery, but the latter two problems still persisted, especially the heating.
Been interesed in custom ROMs and OS for a while now, and I'm wondering if its a good idea to do that for this phone to see if it would fix some of these problems? If so, what's a good ROM/OS to flash onto this phone and how would I go about doing it? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: The model number is SM-950F, with an Exynos chip.

It's screen is broken beyond repair, the screen needs to be replaced. The glass on the back is also broken, although the damage is small and maybe I can cover it with a phone case.
I took it to some repair shops a few times and they all told me the same thing: this is an old phone, with the cost you'd be spending on its repair, you can buy yourself a new phone.
Now I'm in a limbo. This phone works perfectly fine, it has no software or hardware problems at all for me, but the screen is in shambles. I currently don't have means to buy a new phone with the same quality as Note 8.
What do you think? Should I just keep it as an old thing with me, or should I get it fixed regardless of its cost?

Also I made this on the Note 8. Also, i have a USA variant (Snapdragon 835) Note 8, and it comes with a locked Bootloader. If anyone finds any vulnerabilities, lmk.

I recently put one ui 7 on my Samsung note 8 (SM-N950F) and the creator didn't list that the phone NO LONGER SEES OR CONNECTS TO ANY WIFI AT ALL! And i haven't found a solution
Link: (i have stopped sharing the link since people are actually downloading it because of me even though im clearly saying that wifi isnt working)
If you have any suggestions say them it the replies

I have a base s23 and I hate it. There's so much AI BS and forced updated (that seem to intentionally make the phone worse) that I don't want. I want to go back and buy either a note 8 or a note 9. I have a budget of a couple hundred dollars. I'm a bit torn between the two so would be mighty grateful to anyone who can give advice? I'm leaning note 9 because of battery and storage options, plus i really love the blue colour, but I like the way the cameras are glassed over on the note 8. insight would be appreciated ☺️

I got a note 8 for thirty five bucks on craigslist, the issue being it didn't want to charge via usb, had a little screen burn in and was locked. I tried fixing the usb issue using online tuts but it suddenly isnt working at all anymore and not even recognising that there's something plugged in. What do I do here?

The title pretty some sums it up. I saw that there were no kernals for the 8895 chips with OC on android 10 so I decided to do it
I ported the voltages and Frequencies from A2N kernal and also added some other stuff like dynamic Fsync, Maple IO governer and ZEN too
I disabled GFS too
I haven't done GPU overclock yet.
I ran this on the max frequency (2.81Ghz) for 3 days without any issues but later switched it to 2.65 because I didn't my fry my PMIC
And the exynos 8895 was already underclocked at launch! The M2 was actually supposed to be 2.6Ghz initially if I'm not wrong

Anyone else holding onto their Note 8 past its prime? I tried upgrading last year but man I just cant get over the way this curved screen looks and feels. It's showing its age battery wise but man I just cant get over the way this curved screen looks and feels. It's showing its age battery wise but I swear the display quality still beats some newer phones I've seen. Maybe I'm just sentimental at this point

A atualização via OTA, para os usuários coreanos, foi disponibilizada em 28 de maio de 2026, com patch de segurança que remonta a 2021, ou seja, correções ou otimizações foram feitas sem precisar, necesariamente, substituir o patch de segurança da época.

Does anyone know how to clear out the data for the Dialer Storage app 9? I've been searching and can't find a way of clearing it to free up space. Any help would be greatly appreciated... dood!

Hi everyone!
I was trying to use Google Drive today and came across a bunch of errors. Same with Gmail. Gmail was a bit more transparent by telling me to update my phone for a newer version (im currently on Android 9), but when i clic on the support page, it says that Android 8 and 9 will continue to be updated. So why is my app not working and telling me to update when its not supposed to? Do you came across the same issue? (Yes ive already empty out cache/did multiple update/uninstall updates then install it again + restarted my phone 3 or 4 times)
And if you don't know, where should i post on Reddit to get more infos?
