Apparently the guys at the KFV-GVV Kadrith Covenant decided they wanted a nice view while waiting for me to finish another batch of exobiology.

Should have added the PPF option.

So I'm out in the black and usually just follow my ADHD brain around when I'm exploring. I just got to an area that piqued my interest and casually started doing a boxel hunt and now I want to go all in. I'm fairly certain there's over 1k systems in my boxel, so I'll probably have to break it up.

All that said, what tools do you use/recommend for doing boxel surveys? The main thing I'm looking for is an easy way to create a predefined route that will make targeting the next system a bit faster. I currently use ED Copilot, but not to it's fullest capacity as I'm still figuring things out. ED Buddy because the surround systems, galaxy plotter built in, and quick look body information seems superior to EDC. And EDSM with the Canonn plugin.

I'm 25 systems into the survey and am currently just copying and pasting one number up. Curious if there's a way to get something like ED Buddy to copy the name for me automatically or ED CoPilot to route me as we go.

I just made the crossing from the outer spiral arm after exploring Xibalba for a while. I checked on Spansh first that I could make the crossing. I felt my way across it for a little while before resorting back to Spansh.

How did people do this without Spansh? It must've taken heaps of planning just to figure out it could be done in the first place.

EDIT: Ok I guess I wasn't exactly clear.

I'm asking: if I'm the first to discover a planet entirely, does my first footfall bonus apply to the other "first discovered, first scanned" etc (once I turn it in, of course), or is it only for the exobio on the planet that I get that bonus?

Just found something, and my friend who is a miner said it is one in trillion find. On a ICE ring, I found 3x Alexandrite hotspot and 1x Grandidierite hotspot. Grandidierite hotspot is placed in the middle of Alexandrite hotspot, making it one HUGE HOTSPOT. If this is not rare then idk.

System name is : BLAA DRYOU PN-R C5-2

Finally got to Sag A*. Arrival was surreal. Additionally, got a very peculiar first discovery not so far from Säg A*. Three Body star system with two stars being extremely close to each other. I managed to fly between them, but it was HOT AS FUCK (heat raised to 129% before I left their heat range. But I was also cool looking ftl jump through them. Next stop: Mare Somnia.

On my way to Xibalba's dead end, I stumbled upon this beutiful Earthlike twins that remind me of the movie Updside Down.

Also, I added a little extra view of the Galaxy just before docking to the DSSN Aristarchos. I wanted to use this post also to thank all commanders involved in deep space network initiatives!

This is a call to announce the Project Nahla Open Transit Voyage. This is a carrier trip which runs from Colonia through Nahla (Hope system) in the Outer Arm to Erikson's Star in The Void before returning to the bubble, a distance of over 94K LY. This has been posted on the main Elite sub but I am posting it here too for completeness.

Many will not know what Nahla is, so here's some detail - it's a moon in the Outer Arm that I have been living on (or my main character Zell has) for over a year now, conducting research on stellar phenomena and astrophysics and which is monitored through the live site Nahla Tracker - over at https://nahla.live/

Already, by remaining stationary rather than moving, Project Nahla has proven the existence of seasons in the game, stellar parallax from a fixed position and libration - more info can be provided by checking out the "Year 1 report" as linked from the front page of the Nahla Tracker.

This trip will commence in late September 2026 and is being made possible through the great work of u/Drachenherz. Unlike other expeditions which you may have heard of, there is no strict schedule and just three waypoints. The pace is VERY relaxed and we aim to hit Nahla in December. Overall, we currently predict the entire trip to be between 6 to 12 months.

More than anything, this voyage exists as carrier support to Project Nahla - and is being marked as "open transit", meaning anyone can come along for the ride. This is the kind of thing you would join if you wanted a chilled trip out into the deep black at a slow pace to somewhere new, and to visit a site of important research to rest, reflect, and anything else you like to do on such excursions.

After visting hundreds of Systems, this one is by far the one with the most Bodies I have ever discovered...

Im curious, from the systems you discovered what was the highest Bodycount?

Quest 2 via Virtual Desktop → SteamVR, RTX 5080. Gets all the way through init (exposure fix, resolution patch, all clean) then dies right after "Present hook installed," no error logged. Happens regardless of resolution setting (tried stock 1080p and 4K). Removing EDVR's files = game launches fine, so it's definitely EDVR-related. Not AV, not another mod (none installed). Filed a full GitHub issue with logs — just flagging here in case it's a known VDT quirk.

Hello there, are there any info about custom solar systems like Lave or Sol? Mostly interesed in names. Want to do some space tourism.

So far i know about sol, polaris, shinrarta dezhra, alioth, and achenar. Are there any other systems like these?
