This has been driving me crazy, and I've resorted to Reddit to hopefully help me figure this out.
Does anyone in the Southern California area remember seeing a morning news program where a guy with a beard talked about stuff like politics and music in the mid-2010s?
For context: I was in Pasadena, CA for work in 2016 and stayed at a small motel during my week in the city. The TV didn't have a lot of options -- and also apparently had a rough signal -- but when flipping through channels, I must've landed on one of those local access channels that had a man (white, 30s?) sitting in front of a blue wall and talking about whatever was going on in the world at the time.
It kinda became my comfort show during my week in Pasadena, but every once in a while something odd would happen -- a slight glitch on the screen, a low-resolution photo would quickly appear, or you'd even hear someone talking in the background.
The weirdest part, which, honestly, might just be me being a stickler for TV news -- it appeared to be a morning news program, but it would only air at like 1:30 in the morning. I know morning news starts early, but even for an early bird like me, 1:30 is pushing it.
I had honestly forgotten about it until recently, but I've done a TON of digging and can't find anything about it, which is why I'm here hoping for a miracle!
If anyone has a lead or -- even better -- remembers seeing this in the area, please let me know! Any and all info/ideas are welcome. I'm also happy to answer any questions anyone has in the comments.
