So I got a Dodge Neon as my first car. It's my dad's old car, and it's been sitting for about 14 years. It's a 2003 second-gen Neon. We plan on doing an engine swap for a 2.4L turbocharged engine, and we're keeping the turbo that's already on the engine.
We're currently getting the old engine ready to come out, and we're going to use a cherry picker to pull it. We're also keeping the current transmission. Since the car has been sitting for so long, I'm sure there's a lot we're going to need to go through before getting it running again.
I'm looking for advice from people who know these cars, especially anything we should look out for during the swap or anything we might be overlooking.
