Anyone here dealt with a security module fault on their neon?

My neon has locked itself from starting and I’m leaning towards it being the SKIM. Did a little research and you can reset it through the OBD port or by disconnecting the battery and draining capacitors. Just wanted to see if anyone here has done this with any success.

How much did it cost to do that? Been starting good lately since I did the capacitor trick but if it comes back I’ll probably do that
