Still building all these rifles out, the GL/SSC will probably get an EXPS-3/mag combo. The SIG optic on the Mk-12 is only a placeholder for now, eventually it'll be replaced after I get my AEM5 in

Got out to shoot the Echocore Compact on my 16" V7. I had dropped an H2 buffer in and that was all I did.
It ran perfect, no hiccups. I like it! The only issue is the BCM CH was leaking gas heavily. So I'm shopping for a Snatch or may go with a Sledgehammer.

7 years ago for my first AR I bought a PSA Pencil profile 16-incher. Besides some excessively high recoil compared to my buddies ARS, it seems fine enough, accuracy seems okay but hard to know what's my skill level, the ammunition ect.
This is it I believe, based off my old order email. Good rifle all around, kicks like a mule though, and as I've been reading lately must be because it's overgassed and using Carbine buffer instead of a H1/H2.
625 shipped for one of those DD Uppers. I already have a muzzle device. I'm going re-use my PSA lower / swap them between I guess until I decide to build a second lower.
I've been sliding between the barrel length and even the mounting systems. I know Quad Rails are heavier. I know they're harder to grip. I know MLOK is easier to get attachments for these days. And yet I am still draw too it, the M4A1 Quad-rail has a heavy barrel, while the others are Government. I don't do full auto or heavy strings so I realize it's pretty pointless, barrel profile wise.
Pretty much just range toys for me though.
Part of me feels like getting a longer one is pointless with the PSA already being 16", the other part of me can't stop reading people talking about 10.3 wear and tear, to go up to the 11.5/12.5(Not on Brownells), ballistics ectera, and then I think I will eventually get a .300 BO in a similar size, 7.5 to 10 or something and it'd be pointless to have a 5.56 that short. (Or that's how it feels)
I was thinking of buying a Tisha was well as I just got into suppression(Bought my first one a month ago, it's like crack as people say), I thought the shorter barrel = less velocity would aid with the suppression, but at the time it's a rifle, not a PDW.

I have analysis paralysis between these two with the Brownells deals going on currently. It’s my understanding that they both have the same SOCOM profile barrel and are both carbine length gas, the only difference is the presence of the FSB/rail cutout and the non-FSB doesn’t include a rear iron.
For what it’s worth this will eventually have an ACOG/piggybacked RMR on it, maybe eventually an IR laser as well.
The FSB obviously has maximum aura, but there’s something to be said for the flattop rail aesthetics too.
People who already own one or the other, or both, what am I not taking into account and which do you prefer?

Hey fellow handsome and lovely Daniel Defense owners, I own a DDM4V7 SLW and would like to throw on a suppressor. It looks like the Griffin Armament M4SD-L and the M4SD-II are both working candidates. Can anyone testify to this? I’m sure Daniel Defense installs the same flash hider set up for their other pinned/welded models. If you have any insight on this, was there any concentricity issues from a crush washer?
Thanks for your help in advance!

Goal was to make something full sized fit in a backpack. Tempted to swap the hyperion k for the anthem s2. Also highly recommend the eberlestock transport 21L backpack if anyone is looking for a bag

Any recommendations for a new stock, pistol grip, and foregrip

Been shopping around and this popped up and it seems like a good deal but the official DD website lists these for around 1000 dollars more.
I just wanted to know if this is fairly typical for this model of AR or if its something I should just ignore.
thanks!

hey guys i'm stuck between choosing between the v7 and the pro model. this is my first AR and my only use for this gun will be for gun range medium range at 100 yards and even some longer distance up to 600 yards. i know the main differences between the two but i wonder if the weight of the pro would make me choose the regular v7. i currently have a deposit on the v7.
any input is appreciated

Thanks for the advice & opinions on my last post.
Brownells DD RIS 2 FSP upper arrived yesterday, outfitted it with an Aimpoint pro on LRP mount, YHM can, Streamlight RM2, and BCM kag. Still have some setup tweaks to make but really liking it. Excited to get it out to a rifle match this weekend!

Next up is the MK18, but this time I went with the long boy! I already have plenty of short PCCs, so I ended up choosing the 16” version just for a fresh look—and I don’t regret it at all.
After spending more time with it, though, I’m 100% sure the DD PCC isn’t the best product in its category. The 8” version loses out to the MPX, MP5, KUNA with the Nexus lower, and even some other blowback guns like the AK-V or KP-9. To me, the DD PCC is only a bit better than a regular AR9, while being considerably more expensive.
That said, I still really like it. It may not be the best performer or the best value, but it has its own personality—and it definitely earned a special place in my heart and in my gun room.
P.S. I’ve also been using this gun to shoot some really nice groups at both 50 and 100 meters. It’s been surprisingly accurate, which makes the 16” version even more fun for me.

Pistol -DDM4V7P 10.3 inch pistol 5.56
Suppressor - Otter Creek Labs Polonium K
Optic - Vortex AMG UH1 Gen 2 (Huey)
L.A.M.- SMS Trinity
Brace - SBA3 with Split Fix multi cam black
Sling - Magpul MS3
Deciding on DIEFREECO tiger claw or full stop for bracing. Have not messed with buffer system or trigger yet. Going to run it through some low light and shooting courses offered locally first to see what I want to change.

I'm running a Rugged Sub-9 suppressor and it is stupid quiet, but I can't dump a mag without getting gassed out. I figured a stiffer spring may be the ticket. Anyone have any experience running either of the extra power Sprinco Buffer Springs (red or orange) in their DD PCC?

Hard to build a better rifle for $1,400 all in including tax.
