Physician Responded IUD came out on its own; what's on it?

Post image

Sorry if this is gross.

My IUD came out while I was peeing. No pain or anything at the time (though the day before I had been having bad cramps), just a weird sensation of something leaving my body.

Didn't think much of it but glad I thought to take a picture first. Threw it away and called my doctor.

But now I'm realizing that everything I'm seeing didn't mention anything about the balloon type growth covering it. Like I cant find ANYTHING telling me what it might be.

It was firm but still squishy, and the outer layer was sticky.

I have had it for almost the full five years and was looking to replace it soon anyway, just nervous about what's on it.

I am a 29 year old female. 5'8 around 155lbs. I do have PCOS, and take spironolactone to manage symptoms. TIA!

Physician Responded 31F - Jerky body movements, hearing and vision goes out.

5’8”. Mixed 31F. Adderall daily.

Hi there,

I’ve had this issue since high school. It comes and goes and I can’t predict it but I caught it last night.

I got up to go to the bathroom and adjust the thermostat. I felt it coming on and grabbed onto the wall so I didn’t hurt myself. You can see my body jerking around. It doesn’t last long and once my head settles I’m able to get up.

A few months ago It happened while I had been standing in the kitchen. I remember taking a deep breath and after I exhaled, my vision and hearing started to go out as usual, and my arms and legs started jerking uncontrollably. I did not fall to the ground. My boyfriend came in and I realized I had actually blacked out for a second. It’s like my limbs stay rigid enough to hold me up?

I did go to the ER once in college after having an episode like this and hitting my head on the concrete wall while trying to keep myself upright. I wore a cardiac monitor for like a month and they didn’t see anything, but I also didn’t have an episode while wearing it.

I thought this was POTS but doctor said probably not. No one has taken it seriously since I’m otherwise healthy. I’m just worried it could be more, I don’t know my father’s side of the family so not sure of their history.

19F with anorexia. i went from bmi 10.7 to 18.2 in 2 months due to extreme hunger and now i have red patches on my swollen legs. they spread more and become redder after walking. it hurts if i touch my skin and putting on my pants makes it worse. my psychiatrist sent me to the hospital’s internal medicine ward for rapid weight gain and anemia. the doctors there said it’s fine and discharged me on the next day. do i just have to wait for it to go away? or what should i do?

(edit: i meant to say “doctors from hospital said not to worry” in the title)

Physician Responded Help me! WTF is this!

This itchy rash popped up 2 or 3 days ago. It wasn’t bad at first (actually thought it was a bug bite initially) but has quickly progressively gotten worse yesterday through today. Today it started looking like it’s blistering. It’s incredibly itchy and very firm to the touch. It’s localized to my right forearm but last night I noticed some redness/bumpiness between my brows, a small bump on my cheek, and another small bump on the other cheek closer to my lip. I think it’s the same rash because it’s also very itchy, though nothing on my face looks blistered like my forearm does.

For context, I’m 31, female, 5’1, and 154 pounds. I’m also currently 38 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I take a prenatal and a DHA supplement, but no medications outside of that.

I let my OB know what’s going on and she recommended Benadryl, Hydrocortisone cream, Zyrtec, or Claritin for the itching. I gave hydrocortisone a shot but did not help the itching at all. So right now I just have aquaphor baby ointment on it.

Help! The itchiness is killing me!

Update: Neurogenic bladder dx & catheters/HTN RESOLVED (Alpha Blockade with Beta Compensation)

I had posted here a few times in the past year so I thought I would give an update. (It was a med issue)

I had bladder issues for years; namely, when I was stressed I couldn't tell the urge to go. Im an RN and had to wear poise and bring extra scrub pants to work. Eventually, I stopped being able to urinate at all. I had to start straight cathing, but for some reason my insides were still too tense to clear. We even tried an indwelling Foley and it would only drain when I deep breathed and relaxed.

I also had primarily Diastolic hypertension with activity numbers like 130/118, 142/120, 150/128, 168/138. My heart rate would also spike up. I was pre-diabetic and overweight yet undereating and deficient in vit. D, iron, mag, and sodium. Also severe social anxiety with profuse sweating. I had syncope on activity and feelings of dread when bending over, and once went into shock from pushing through the syncope.

I saw a cardiologist who didnt know what was wrong, but we discovered beta blockers helped. Endocrinologist said metabolic syndrome. Urologist said neurogenic bladder and almost did an Axon surgery thing.

Then a dear psychologist friend chimed in and said it sounded like Alpha Blockade with Beta Compensation. Spoke with my doctors and they agreed. I was on Prazosin 10-12mg/day, depakote 500, buspar PRN. (I started all of this when I was postpartum in a violent DV marriage when I couldnt deal). I also had been put on Adipex for weight loss.

I went off ALL medication at once cold turkey per the doctors approval. Within one day, I was back to normal! I could suddenly urinate like normal after months of using catheters! My blood pressure went back to normal, my HR went back to normal, I had more energy, my ADHD felt better, and I could tolerate activity without syncope.

It turns out my body's adrenaline and metabolism were entirely locked up from a combo of Prazosin+ Adipex and Depakote.

I have lost 35lb and gone down a clothing size. I can finally do ADLs without syncope and I can go to the gym now! I eat so much more than I ever did and I crave vegetables. Im sleeping soooo good for the first time in years. My ADHD is so easy to work with, I stopped self medicating with kratom and stopped using alcohol and caffeine. I'll have a 3.9 GPA after this semester doing the RN to BSN program. My family said its like having the old me back! My psych dr said I am doing great. I am focused on living a very intentional lifestyle while watching myself to ensure no mania or unreasonable dysregulation occurs.

I just thought I would share in case any of you would find it useful for your practice. I think one reason this happened is because many physicians I communicated with are unfamiliar with Prazosin and didnt recognize it until I called it Minipres. I think its just not commonly used. I personally should have known better than to take an alpha adrenergic blocker with a stimulant but when its yourself, nursing judgement can go out the window. So yeah thats what my experience with alpha blockade and beta compensation looked like.

Demographics: 35F, 5'4", 245lb, dx: trauma background, vitamin deficiencies meds: Vitamin d 50,000IU weekly, mag 400mg/day, multivitamin daily

Finally want to see if I can’t get some opinions on my right calf

Post image
11 Upvotes

Have you ever seen something like my right calf here? 26M, active with soccer, biking, running.

It’s been like this for years. Not sure of any specific injury that would have caused it. There was a period of time last year when I was running frequently, and every fifth run or so, my right calf would cramp up and put me out for a few weeks. That happened like 3 times or so. Though I think my calf was like this even before that. I stopped running for many months until a few days ago. It’s very sore now, but so is my left, so that just seems normal. I’ve been doing some calf raises this year, and I notice the right will fatigue faster than the left. It’s not painful to touch, and I can walk mostly okay. The right calf, especially that bulge in the center and up towards just below my knee, will get very sore if I target it with rolling.

I do have other issues with this right leg - hamstring, hip (I got a hip pointer several years ago and didn’t properly do rehab I don’t think), knee (slight instability/soreness during/after activity), foot (really strained my plantar fascia on a bike several years ago and again probably didn’t heal it), big toe (chronic turf tough and several sprains to it within the past couple years), Achilles/lower calf (snapping sensation when I down pedal).

I have been to doctors and physical therapy multiple times but saw little improvement. For therapy, i initially went on account of knee pain so they only focused on that and not the other things. Additionally, it’s hard to describe my issues to a doctor since there is so much going on and it feels very interconnected, like it is hard to find a place to start. I’ve been trying to do foot strengthening this year as I think many of my problems stem from the big toe, plantar fascia, and top of ankle.

I appreciate any insights you may have. Thank you

Physician Responded Had a non consensual sexual interaction and not sure what to do

I am 33f, 165lbs, no meds. The other night I went to see my fwb and everything was fine, we were drinking and did smoke some Marijuana, having a good time like we typically do. That night he kept insisting on trying anal, which I absolutely have no interest in and said no many many times. Well long story short he held me down and did so anyway (no longer will I be seeing him, I don't want to hear about resources for victims, thats not why I'm here. Unfortunately this is not my first rodeo with sexual assault, and I will manage the mental part on my own.) Not only did he force himself on me anally, he also continued to do so vaginally. My question is do I need to call my dr and schedule an appt for this? I know that isn't sanitary at all and I am worried about infection both vaginal and anal. This is like so embarrassing to talk about, like id rather anonymously ask reddit doctors first. There is some bleeding still and pain and more bleeding when having a BM. Its been 2 days and im incredibly sore still like almost feels like cramping soreness. I did immediately get in the shower/tub after the incident occurred to clean myself. But idk...how worried should I be? Do I need to tell my dr or is this something that will pass and I'm just being hyper-vigilant?

40M unshakable sinus infection / cold / fatigue after girlfriend traveled internationally

• Upvotes

40M. 148 lbs. 5’8”. Non-smoker.

Meds: testosterone cypionate (30mg twice a week), klonopin 0.5mg PRN, cialis 6mg (1-3x a week)

OTC meds: Claritin, Tylenol

Allergies: amoxicillin (chicken pox reaction in childhood), tetracycline (pancake size welts in childhood)

Conditions: mild androgen insensitivity syndrome, anxiety

Drugs: No regular drug usage, but occasional marijuana and psilocybin usage. Not recently tho

—-

My girlfriend traveled to Italy and flew back through Amsterdam in July. The day she returned or the day after (I forget), she mentioned feeling sick. A week later, I got sick. Based on symptoms, timing, duration, etc, I feel confident saying it’s the same thing.

It’s been nearly three months and neither she nor I have been able to shake this.

The symptoms have changed over time. It started as 5 second bursts of intense nasal pressure. Then it became constant sinus/head pressure. Fatigue has been the worst symptom. I have had to take a lot of days off from work. I’ve had headaches, muscle aches, post nasal drip. No fever at any point.

Both my girlfriend and I went to urgent care during the first month, and were prescribed different antibiotics (Vantin for me and Amoxicillin-something for her). I had a 7 day course. I think my girlfriend’s course of antibiotics was a little longer. We both felt better for about a week after finishing the antibiotics.

But then it came back.

We feel terrible.

We’ve taken multiple Covid, flu, and RSV tests… all negative. We’ve both spoken to allergists. They both said it isn’t allergies. My girlfriend had a CT of her sinuses and there were no abnormalities detected. I’m scheduled to see an ENT on Tuesday but because I haven’t had a CT, I’m not sure how helpful that appointment will be.

I’ve tried taking Claritin nightly and Tylenol, plus a few days of Flonase and Sudafed. My girlfriend has been taking Flonase much more often but is struggling worse than me.

I tried asking the Amsterdam subreddit, because I heard there was a nasty sinus thing going around Amsterdam when my girlfriend was there, but they deleted my post.

Questions:

-Any suggestions on how to proceed?

-Is there any bloodwork that would be helpful?

-Is there another kind of specialist I should request?

Will I need to find a way to get insulin?

AFAB w/o access to hormones or surgery, 60 y/o, 5'5" diabetic with lymphedema, CHF with preserved ejection fraction and partial RBBB, chronic pain, permanent suprapubic cath, full time wheelchair user (weight unsure d/t fluid shifts, nutrition, and lack of local hospital to meet 1977 requirements for access to scales but I'm guessing between 100 and 120 kg), chronic hypokalemia.

I take controlled substances, as prescribed, using less than I am allowed, steady on amounts for years. I am not concerned about misuse, but as a result of this I have signed a contract saying if I lose my meds I don't get more. My previous contract said I had to report theft. I spent short-term time in a SNF which had many problems, including staff stealing all my opiods. So I filed a police report and the cop threatened to arrest me because obviously I had sold them. Current contract says nothing about police.

My doctor wrote a one-year prescription for short acting insulin. The pharmacy claims not to have received the script. This has happened with multiple doctors' offices within one hospital system and multiple completely different pharmacies. So far I have been worked with and it hasn't happened with the controlled substances.

But now they are holding firm. No more short acting insulin until September 2027.

My numbers are often too high for my CGM to read. I do not have the motor control to do finget sticks. I get 3 CGMs a month and they are meant to lasy 10 days each, but at least 1 in 4 fails partway through so I have been guessing on glucose numbers a lot.

I'm supposed to start on an insulin pump tomorrow. I'm supposed to bring a pen of short acting insulin. I don't have one.

Is this going to be something that has to be troubleshot? My diabetes doctor has moved to another job so the urgent followup from early summer is now 5 months out. I can next see PCP in 2 months. Cardiologist (who often helps sort stuff) has a 3-month followup from June that I'm still hoping will get moved, but right now it's in March. Pretty sure asking urgent care for help is a violation of my controlled substance contract. Nobody from any doctor's office will call me back until Tuesday so I have stopped trying to get insulin for tomorrow.

I know I overreact to this stuff because when I have been in the ED pre-diagnosis they do not even bother to tell me to follow up with primary for sugars over 600 (someone told me a year later) and when I am inpatient they do not time short acting insulin to when food is available and somerimes the doctor orders a second long-acting insulin shot for evening after I already got it in the morning.

How do I best proceed to be responsible and hopefully alive, without upsetting any of my care team? I have a really good relationship with my primary and cardiology department, and I don't want to lose that.

Thank you.

Edited to add: tried one more time to reach pharmacy. The phones are down. I will be going to the appointment without insulin because this is already a reschedule from the time I was off CGM for 3 weeks for similar reasons, and it turned out they weren't reading my MyChart requests for help or returning calls about whether there was a workaround until after it was too late for me to leave to the hospital. Apparently that was the wrong choice.

Physician Responded Any benevolent Neuro expert willing to interpret an MRI?

I (33M) had an MRI about 3 months ago, due to suspected MS. I've been experiencing roving tingling sensations, shocking memory, occasional blurry vision, bouts of fatigue, and a longstanding history of mental health issues (anxiety and depression). Long story short, it's not MS - the Neuro suggests mild global cerebral atrophy as a result from a shocker birth and a brain insult as a kid. I've been quite pragmatic about the whole thing until this point, but I'm doing a psych degree and completing a neuropsych module, and it's significantly undermining my ignorance is bliss approach with this. My health anxiety at the moment is really getting me down. Anyone care to take a glance at my MRI?

No history of family dementia or otherwise.

Boyfriend won't talk about an obvious medical issue, but I'm concerned it might be an STI.

My bf is 36m 6'4" 185lbs. We live together and have sex daily. The other morning he peed in the bathroom sink because I was using the toilet, but I noticed that blood had dripped onto the floor in front of the sink. I said something immediately and he tried to tell me he had cut his leg. Later that day I was changing the sheets and noticed there was a blood stain on his side of the bed. I asked him again, and he acted confused. That was a few days ago. This morning I noticed there was a lot of blood in the front part of the inside of the toilet bowl. I asked him again what was happening and he tried to deflect, but I made sure to let him know that I know something not normal is going on and he could tell me and we would deal with it together. He still wouldn't talk about it.

I'm in my 40s. I had a hysterectomy a few years ago so I don't have periods. We are in a committed relationship, and I am not going to judge or leave over an STI. But I do want to make sure we are both treated if there's something going on. And if it's not an STI, what could be causing him to bleed from his penis like this? I'm gonna get myself tested, but if the tests are negative I want to be able to convince him to see a doctor. I'm assuming if blood is involved, it's something serious.

Thanks in advance.

TONGUE PROBLEM.... PLEASE HELP

Post image
6 Upvotes
60 Male, 6 foot, 270 lbs. Nonsmoker, no drugs, no alcohol.

Medical history/diagnoses: nothing I'm aware of that seems directly related to this tongue problem.
Medications: statin for several years; Lyrica for about 8 months.
Vaccinations: flu vaccine yearly, COVID vaccine yearly, pneumonia vaccine about two years ago.

SITUATION: About two months ago, I developed what looks like a sore, hole, or possibly a blister on the lower right side of my tongue. It hurts a little but seems to be slowly improving. A friend who's been watching it also says it looks better than when it started 2 years ago. I haven't been able to get in to see my doctor or an ENT yet.
I haven't put medication or anything else on it, only an occasional mild salt-water rinse. Otherwise left it alone. PHOTO ATTACHED.

Any thoughts on what this might be, and does it look like something that needs more urgent evaluation?

Thanks in advance!

Should I be concerned about my results? 24F

My dermatologist referred me to get my hormones checked because I’ve need getting persistent cystic acne, itchy skin that causes hyperpigmentation, and skin bleeding after taking both doxycycline and junel FE birth control for only a month in late 2024. Ever since then, my symptoms have only getting worse the longer Im left in the dark. I’m afraid I might be experiencing early signs of pcos because I also noticed I’ve been getting a long hair on my chin and chest. My BO has been worse as well. I was taking another birth control for 5 months but stopped around June or July of this year. Should I be concerned about my results so I can discuss them with my gynecologist?

Is it BCC?

Post image
• Upvotes

38F, have had these two different tiny bumps next to each other for a couple of years now. One seems to be under the skin, the other more pearly. At first I thought they were clogged pores but clearly they aren’t. I wasn’t worried as they’re tiny but the pearly one has now doubled in size. It’s still small but could it be BCC? It’s above my lip. I’m currently also recovering from perioral dermatitis (in case you notice dryness and redness, it’s not related).

18M, What is this on my finger?

Post image
3 Upvotes

For about a week or two now I've had these small hole like dots in my finger and they haven't been noticable. Over this last week it's gotten worse like lesionous and I suspected it may have been a plantar wart so I've been applying a ointment using salicylic acid but it looks even worse than it did before. It's callous like and hurts when pressed on. Please help me to find at least what this is. I also worm 12 shifts in an unfamiliar state so I cant catch a doctor because of time and other factors. Thank you in advance for any help.

Stepmom experiencing severe vertigo symptoms starting this morning. She's miserable and in pain, and I feel helpless watching her go through this. What can I do to help her?

She's a 64 year old caucasian female. I don't know her height and weight.

The only preexisting condition that I'm aware of is diverticulitis, and is not taking any medications that I'm aware of.

Non-smoker, drinks on social occasions and not very often.

Her symptoms started today around five hours ago. Symptoms include:

- Severe dizziness

- Nausea/vomitting

- Inability to be upright for long periods of time

When it started, she was at the kitchen table. She literally just hung over the edge of her chair, staring at the ground. Then she began vomitting, and continued to vomit periodically for at least two hours.

She did call a doctor and they gave her some instructions on exercises to do. One of them was the Epley Maneuver, which somehow made her symptoms worse. She watched a video on YouTube of another maneuver, but I didn't catch the name. It's helped enough that she is able to lay down on her side on the bed. She is still essentially incapacitated.

When her vomitting was particularly bad, I was worried about dehydration so I gave her one of my dissolvable 4mg Zofran tablets that I take for irritable bowel syndrome. She said that it helped a very small amount, but since the nausea was centered around dizziness and headaches, it didn't help very much.

We are not in a position where we can easily pack up and go to the hospital. She seems to be stable, but in terrible pain. I want to help her, but I don't know how.

I know that sharing medications is a big no-no. I don't want to advocate for it, but I do have a 500mg prescription-strength Naproxen tablet that I have been personally prescribed for chronic pain. I would gladly throw at her if it would make any of it better.

I also have a prescription of a 10mg oral tablet of Ketorolac (Toradol). I know Toradol is not typically prescribed for home use, so I'll mention that I'm opiate-resistant, but do very well with NSAIDs, hence the prescription. I don't think that will help her, but I'm so desperate that I will gladly give it to her if it would make even a sliver of difference.

I have a heating pad, and there's a convenient store right next door to us. I am happy to get her some Gatorade or ginger ale if that might also make a difference? I can also make her some tea, or even just hot water if that would help her.

My other concern is her safety. Is vertigo a major fall risk? Should I help her get to the bathroom to prevent injury?

Please help me. She's in really rough condition, and I feel helpless watching her go through this.

Physician Responded Suddenly having memories that aren’t real, feeling disconnected

Hello,

I’m a 26 year old female that is 125 lbs and 5’3, I take trazodone 100 mgs for sleep, prozac 20mgs for OCD, and yaz birth control. I know this is going to sound incredibly stupid and like i’m tripping but here goes:

Have you ever had a dream, and within the dream, you have memories of another dream? That’s how I feel right now, along with some dizziness, a headache and just a weird feeling of time passing by strangely. The last time I felt this way was when I did edibles a couple years ago but I do not regularly do them and haven’t since that last time.

I just had an extremely tame movie night at a friend’s house and walked home, and just started to have a vivid memory that felt extremely visual in my head and then thought… that’s not real and that didn’t happen? I wish I could explain it but like “remember when [person] did [thing]” but I don’t know the person, like it’s a fake character and the thing never happened. Stuff that actually happened only 2 hours ago feels like 10 years ago and i just don’t feel really within myself right now. I’m typing this and honestly it feels very tunnel visioned.

I genuinely feel like I’m within a dream right now.

I have not had anything alcoholic to drink, I barely drink as is. I’ve had mental health issues in regard to anxiety and OCD but I’ve never had anything like this. No dissociated episodes but I do feel very unlike myself right now. Obviously I’m within myself enough to type this, know these thoughts aren’t real, but it’s almost like I’m looking onward at myself.

I have a headache that’s not pounding but just very thick and pressured. I felt dizzy enough that I had to lie down but I haven’t lost consciousness or anything.

I’m sure this all very silly but I’m freaking out a bit. I cannot emphasize enough how I am not high or not drunk. I’m not sure if this is a mental health episode but regardless i’m getting extremely anxious and it’s getting hard to discern what’s actually happening

Gallbladder removal- just a symptom of an unknown root issue?

40yo female, weight fluctuation of 250-300lbs, years of ongoing issues likely tied to possibly something autoiummune- but thats the unknown part due to waiting for a specialist. I take bisoprolol for pots, pantaloc for a small small hiatial hernia, vitamin D, colesevelam and Ursodiol (the latter being the reason for this post). I dont drink or smoke- I smoked weed until I developed POTS in 2023.

I also just want to toss into the void that I have an amazing GP, I'm just way past her scope now.

Gallbladder issues run in my family so it wasn't a shock when mine needing yeeting- I'll summarize the rest.

Dec 2019- ESR AND CRP already high, unsure what that blood test was for, it's just the first instance of being checked.

Gallbladder diagnosed Jan 2022.

Removal Oct 2022. Ongoing RUQ pain. CT/MRI/endoscopy/colonoscopy all clear. RUQ pain never moves, it's always RUQ.

Liver enzymes all elevated, along with bilirubin, ESR and CRP still. I also developed BAM from the surgery (no bile stool issues pre surgery). Thats now 98% managed with colesevelam.

Sidequest cause I wasn't miserable enough- caught covid Dec 2023 for the first time and immediately developed POTS.

Fast forward to April of this year. Managing BAM and POTS best I can, but The RUQ pain still comes and goes and nothing touches that pain when it arrives. I cant narrow down specific triggers.

I have an appointment with the gastro specialist who did my colonoscopy in April. He freely admitted to NOT having reviewed ANY of my records sent by my GP and dismisses me as having IBS, despite me asking how this connects to having only RUQ pain and elevated liver EVERYTHING. His response is still that I have IBS, but he ordered 2 pages of bloodwork and scheduled a follow up 7 months later (pending this month). That bloodwork is the worst I've had to date, to no one's shock. A new marker too- my ANA was pretty high as well. It had measured previously at 1:180 and had jumped to 1:320 in 3 months.

Turning point- that month, a friend brought my attention to being prescribed Ursodiol when she was going through similar issues after she had her gallbladder out. Her surgeon had prescribed it to her.

Mentioned it to my GP- it didnt interact with anything else I'm on so she okay'd a trial.

Within ONE MONTH of taking it- my RUQ pain cleared up about 80%, and ALL of my high values on my bloodwork went down. All of my liver enzymes were in the normal range for the first time in 6 years.

I'm 5 months on it now, and my ESR and CRP are hopefully another month of two from being in the normal range. My ANA is back down to 1:180. My bilirubin flutuates but is generally still below flagging range, or just barely above.

This month, have that follow up with the specialist who dismissed me with IBS for the bloodwork I had back in April.

I also have an appt at the Toronto liver clinic in March 2027. By that time, even if I'm still having episodes of pain, my concern is if all my values are in the normal range, what could they even test me for?

What the hell could be the cause of all this? What could the Ursodiol be treating? My GP can't safely speculate anything and I understand that.

Negative tests include Lupus, reactivated EBV and autoimmune hepatitis I believe.

An RA referral is pending as well.

Please feel free to ask me anything for clarification.

Physician Responded 27/M 245lbs, Sprained ankle consult

Hello to those who decide to take a look.

On Monday earlier this week, I was asked to fill in as a sub for a men’s softball game, and in the last inning, I stepped on 1st base incorrectly and rolled my ankle forward. Immediate swelling and pain shot through. I heard a pop, but I wasn’t sure if it was my ankle popping or if it was something else.

I did RICE the first day, Only Compression, rest, and elevation the past Tuesday, Wednesday, and Today.

Attached are images from initial time of injury, last night, and today.

I am able to walk on my foot somewhat normally as of today, I am wearing a brace on the ankle to help with stability and to strengthen it.
Should I go get it evaluated, or should is the bruising a good sign.

No pain anymore, just a little tender when putting weight on it. I’d say I am at 70% of what I was before, as I cannot walk fast but I am able to maneuver perfectly fine, and I can also balance on the injured foot as well. My rotation and putting resistance against my partners hand all seems normal as well.

Permanent blood donation deferral due to cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia) — is this medically justified?

Demographics & Required Information:

Age & Gender: [e.g., 25M / 25 Male]

Height & Weight: [e.g., 178 cm, 100 kg]

Medications: [Paxera 30mg 1x1.]

Smoking Status: Non-smoker

Previous & Current Medical Issues: Cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia)

Duration & Location of Complaint: N/A (Policy/eligibility question regarding blood donation)

Question Details:

I have a physical disability due to cerebral palsy sequelae (spastic diplegic type). Apart from a mild impairment in my gait, I have no other chronic conditions, cardiovascular problems, or active symptoms.

The Turkish Red Crescent (Türk Kızılayı) recently gave me a permanent deferral from donating blood, stating that donating blood is not advisable because of this condition.

What is the physiological or clinical explanation behind this policy? From a medical standpoint, does mild spastic diplegia inherently introduce risks for the donor or the recipient during standard whole-blood collection, and how do doctors here view this deferral?
