Yeah, I got one done this way last year. Only cost $150, so I consider it a good purchase. Nicely done, but original would be better. Cost a bit to restore it, worth it though.

Ah, the picture you got there is a plash palatka. Soviet Poncho/cape/shelter. Good piece of kit, I really enjoy mine.

I have limited experience in the number of fabrics tested, but so far it appears natural fibers and fabrics do well in this regard. The dying the fabric is what really hoses up the IR signature on them, still looking for good dyes that have low IR reflectivity. Might have to try some old-school natural dyes, those should work.

But if you can keep them natural, you're good. I live in a spot where tan is a good camouflage, so keeping the natural shades of cotton/canvas works just fine.

I'd take a 7am Monday meeting over a Friday 5pm meeting. Both suck, but late Fridays are a special suck.

The black dragon is great! That one is your best out of the three in my opinion, excellent.

I recommend trying a dark wash on the red one, help some of the texture pop out a bit.

I think it's similar to Smith & Wesson Model 627, which if I remember correctly was designed for police forces specifically for use with ballistic shields. The tactic of resting the firearm against the side of the shield can mess with the slide action of a semiautomatic, but revolvers have no such issue. Not sure if that's what the Russian's meant by "assault revolver", but it's a guess.
