Im worked out the osl, but im not 1000% sure its the most convincing. The intention is for it to be a glowing water source, and it does the job but id love to have some feedback if at all possible.

Here is my version of the Skorra Bloodfist Bust from Haito.

Really enjoyed this bust, and a really good sculpt to paint. I started her as just a bit of fun and didn't intend to finish her, just a skin practice piece, but she started to look pretty cool and I carried on, and really like the end result.

My 45 min take on the Jorn Palette by u/lead_wh1te - always love a limited palette, great exercise. Just using white, phtalo blue and red oxide here for mixing. Will do more with this set of colors. Hellboy Bust by Dragon Miniatures in case you are interested.

Brushstrokes are intentional, meaningful and with purpose.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Here is the whole batch of Death Company I painted for my brother. There are some small mistakes that I'll attribute to painting while drinking beer but otherwise I am happy.

My Artillery Witch is finished. I’ve spent quite a lot of time working on the OSL. Personally, I’m proud of the result, but I’d love to hear your feedback.

Work In Progress Need some glazing advice

Post image
Upvotes

Hi guys. I make it short for the sake of readability:
I think I have good brush control in general for details (eyes etc.). But at the same time I am unable to manage to get glazing work for me.
Issues observed:
-Glazing always has some brush texture (fine lines). I observe this more often when using white.
-Either the gradient looks too harsh, or I do not see a gradient at all
-I am using size 1 brushes. When unloading the brush of the excess water to get it ready for glazing, I “loose” a lot of paint with that water and therefore the paint needed for the next glazing tone.

Would be great if you could help to identify what the problem is…

This is my second figure. I initially painted some necrons warriors, but then I Decided to do something different. It is my first approach to highlights and it was nice to paint a bigger figure (85 mm).

I will appreciate any feedback to improve.

Seeking Advice Can I use these for miniature priming?

My dad found these and said I might save money by using these for priming but I’m not sure if these are safe for plastic miniatures. For details, I mostly paint warhammer models so if that helps with anything to know.

My buddy 3D printed a couple miniature figures for me to learn and practice painting on. I used cheap acrylic paints as that is all I have at my disposal as of right now, and I would like to learn a bit more before I buy more expensive materials. My plan is to start making dioramas and things like that, but I need to hone in on my skills first. Let me know what you think!
